in general UK english usage

hanged is rope and scaffold and hangman

hung is like in 'hung like a donkey' or well hung :)

An interesting title woud therefore be talentented student is found hung after taking LSD, sales of LSD would sky rocket.

ill never quite understand the brittish

The best thing about Americans is they understand themselves VERY well, the worst thing is they don't understand others at all.

It's British, BTW. Or English if you want to be precise (and the Scots will thank me). Visit England, just not London, the further from London you get, the nicer the people are IMHO. Problem is, the pound is so valuable against the doller. it's almost $2 to the pound so very expensive. A McDonalds would cost you 4 times more than at home! Oh, (and I'm not saying you do) but do not use the term Negro. We are all coloured (I'm pink) I have asian & black friends, they would flip at the word...

I live in a pretty small flat, but if you can manage on a couch, you can stay a few days at mine. Near anchester.

A black person flipping because you called them "Negro" is like a white person flipping because you called them "Caucasian".

That doesn't make much sense.

Are they ashamed of being black?

Fucking weird.

Ne·groid Pronunciation (ngroid) Anthropology
adj.
Of or being a major human racial classification traditionally distinguished by physical characteristics such as brown to black pigmentation and often tightly curled hair and including peoples indigenous to sub-Saharan Africa.
n.
A member of this racial classification.

I don't see how you can be a master of the English language, when you take offense to the proper use of it?

I couldn't live in a country that is so insanely politically correct and racially sensitive.

Is African even acceptable?

Don't call me Caucasian I will kick your ass man!

Why all the posts on page 2 are not even related to the OT ? Should we start editing here ?

;)

An arguement about semantics again. I don't care what is technically right or wrong, I just know that in the UK people don't like it and don't use it. Come over and try it, you will see what I mean. I don't think your arguement would carry much weight and they would likely beat you. I don't want anyone to get hurt, hence the warning. Stop being so pedantic, we are supposed to be a community, act friendly, neighbour! :)

I am not being unfriendly, like I said, I just find it highly odd...

Here we have the "United Negro College Fund" etc.

Also, if anyone tried to beat me I would quickly stab them in the throat.

Gifted people (especially in things like music and acting) who drop out of school (especially a catholic one) for no apparent reason, do drugs, and commit suicide, generally (but not always) have one thing in common: homosexuality.
