Taking acid in a car?

i don't think anyone is suggesting it.. just saying that it can be fun

i always did it on relatively small doses, and at the time was tripping several times per week, so my brain was used to it.. just like someone who's used to having a joint or drinking a beer or two before driving

not saying any of it is responsible, but i never had a problem with it at least. on the other hand, when i was taking benzos daily i still couldn't drive on the shit safely and decided not to take it when i had to drive places (tapering etc). alcohol also does the same to me- i can't even have one drink (i'm not even close to being buzzed or drunk) and feel comfortable behind the wheel. i just lose my sense of distance and that's enough to make me realize i can't handle it

I wouldn't recommend driving while on acid. Also I can't imagine myself tripping in car. Weed yes, but shrooms, acid, dmt and other NO (for me).
 
What happens if the car breaks down and you have to interact with the police whilst tripping?

Your own safety is paramount. The best place to take it is the place you have the least chance of encountering strangers and/or policemen.
 
wow- I remember in my younger years routinely dosing 5-7 hits and then DRIVING while smoking buds and listening to tunes. All these years later I feel like an ASS for risking my life and others.

It was a good experience tho in terms of a purely self serving, hedonistic viewpoint. I mean- you've got endless changing scenery and good tunes and buds...and as a plus, in your situation you don't have to drive!:)

It really depends on you tho- do you like road trips?:) If so it could be great. If you dont like sitting and prefer to be able to move around it would suck.

I remember once coming to my sense and not remembering how the hell I had gotten onto the route I was driving on. Scary. Yep- I still fell like an ASS for doing that all those times. Especially having now seen so much death and destruction surrounding mva's. Cant count the times I have had to intubate a really DEAD person pulled from a twisted pile of metal.

ASS. Lucky ass at that.
 
Being in a car on acid isn't much fun in my opinion. You're moving too fast to really take in the pretty visuals outside. I've done it while in the passenger seat and I also did it while driving. I definitely do not recommend tripping and driving! I found myself doing 10MPH on the highway thinking I was flying. It wasn't until I heard all the cars honking their horns at me until I took a look at how fast I was going and let out a big "OH SHIT!" when I realized I wasn't going faster than 10MPH. I'm lucky I didn't get pulled over.

So if I were you, I'd wait until you get to your destination before dropping the acid. Or at least wait until you're about 30-40 minutes away and then drop it so by the time you get there you should be coming up (:

Ive done it while on the plateau of a trip and had a blast watching the rims of cars as lights reflected off of them and got tracers that looked like those orbitals you see people playing with at a rave. It was night time and along a very scenic part of the CA coastline and I was lost in deep thoughts/living in the moment. Every now and then I would snap out of it and joke around with the other people in the car about things. It was a very very fun experience for me with alot of introspection mixed with random extroverted joking moments. It depends alot on who youre with, your destination and location. But as always YMMV

yea one time i was frying pretty good- about halfway through my trip- and fairly stoned. i had bud in the glove box and was about two blocks from my guy's house (my destination)- on the way there, i ran a routine stop sign cause i thought the cop gave me the motion to go, but it was the motion to stop

on top of this, my license was expired. i explained i was going in to get it renewed the following day as i'd been out of town and was headed home to study for the test

he let me go.. no ticket, nothing

i've gotten one ticket in my life and it was for something totally ridiculous (doing a california roll at a stop sign..no one was around and this motorcycle cop is just waiting to pull someone over). funny enough i was completely sober that day

ps - this thread reminds me of riding on the monorail in vegas with my parents (my first acid trip). it felt like i was in a rocket ship and looking out the window i could see these lasers reflecting off all the skyscrapers :D
 
I wouldnt want to spend my entire trip in a car, but taking a ride in one to get from point A to point B has never caused any problems (just be sure to have a sober person as the driver. not anyone on psychedelics.)
 
don't be driving....

i love taking car rides on acid with the windows rolled down and the music loud....

as far as other modes of transportation that are enjoyable...

bicycles

and a personal favorite is kayaking in the spring or summer.... preferably on a lake or a river a 5 year old could make it down by themselves....

I wish the pond at Cherokee farms was larger, beautiful country....

I would like to have permission to camp on that property.... Those kinds of places just have such an energy to them, the collective nature of what happens to any place you have a burn or a psytrance festival in for multiple years...

I miss the summer and its festivals.... I desire to go to burning man next year....

if i can't make it out to burning man, i plan to be at alchemy at all cost....

even if the ticket is all of my money, i will hitch there and live off nothing but the good will of others....

a burn is one of the only places you could show up wearing only the clothes on your back and not a dime in your pocket and you would not struggle to survive for days....
 
It isn't a completely bad idea but it obviously is not the ideal environment.

I ended up sitting in a car tripping on some decent L for most of the trip one time and although it wasn't a negative experience it was definitely not the most memorable.

I hate to be confined to an area when I'm tripping but if you are with good friends and have good music and preferably some good weed then it should be alright if it is just a moderate dose.

Pretty much the only time i was not searched was the only time they really had a reason to search me....

Coming home from the city, left a very shitty rave rolling... And i do know that it is not a good idea to drive while rolling but as far as getting from the venue to my house, i had to make a single right turn that would lead me out of the city. very simple drive home and i made it within 10 feet of my house before a cop pulled me over.

Apparently i had a head light out, my lights are kind of bright so i didn't notice and made it to my house fine. Cop gave me a sobriety test where i followed the light around with my eyes, very carefully to make sure they wouldn't twitch....

I passed, he told me to get the headlight fixed quickly and that i could be on my way.

He didn't search me which is kind of uncommon around cops, i think it is because i get kind of nervous around them, blue lights in the mirror generally means you did something stupid and they are going to try and fuck you for it.

When i got pulled over rolling I was worried i was going to be arrested but i was very composed and got through it.
