Hold on!!! Stop the truck!!!
There are 2 things in this thread that I really don't like. First of all, be sure to quantify the # of mg/cc you are talking about when you deal with Ketamine. Yes, we usually deal with 100mg/ml vials but that is by no means always the case. It is much more specific to talk about the # of mgs you are injecting, this will insure everyone is on the same page.
Second, this business of NEEDING over 100mg of K to get "A k-whole" or the full effect is just plain wrong and I'm sorry, but an irresponsible statement. I have done a lot of k (and administered a lot of K to others) and when I first began my initial self-experimentation I did something not too many users have the patience to do: I started with a very small injection - 20mg (.2ml of 100ml/mg solution)... then, over the course of many weeks I slowly titrated my dose up by and additional 10mg each injection. So basically my first few experiences with Ketamine contained 20mg, 30mg, 40mg, 50mg, 60mg... so forth and so on respectively up to and over dosages of 120mg.
This proved to be a fantastic approach to the drug as it allowed me to become familiar with ketamine's effects over the full dose range - in a manner few take the time to do. What I found in MY case (and of course everyone's effects/reactions are going to differ) is that I began to fully dissociate around about the 60-70mg dose. At 80mg I was MOST CERTAINLY dissociating in full (As in, I had the distinct feeling of leaving my body, could barely move, couldn't talk, and just sat and stared at my computer screen, until it finally wore off and I was awakened to "Returning" to my body by the sudden sensation of feeling my hands resting on my lap).
Above this dose I continued to titrate up, but now in only 5mg amounts. At any rate, my personal findings were that above 90mg all I was achieving was more of a horrible come down after the "K-hole", and more of a sickning hangover. Even now after building up a considerable amount of tolerance, I never feel the need to inject over 100mg. A good chart to use as reference when planning out your first few IM ketamine adventures is in Erowid:

Become familiar with these charts, as they represent fantastic guides.
Guys, please be cautious about recommending such high dosages to people, especially when talking to potential IM ketamine newbies. The lesson I learned from my friend who went into a full on state of shock from a mere 20mg IM injection is especially relevant here! (consequently he now HATES even the idea of injecting K, and would not ever consider trying it again). Ketamine is a wonderful drug, but total dissociation can be a very VERY scary thing, especially if you are new to it. Approach IM Ketamine with respect and conservatism, and properly prepare yourself mentally for the experience of dissociation - do this and you will "Discover" Ketamine in a fantastically wonderful way.
Goodluck!
