Oh and 1234, to get to Newtown from the city, if you are in the city you can take a train to newtown station from any of the stations in the city, look for the Inner West line.

By bus, take any of the following: 422, 423, 426, 428. You can catch these at Railway Square at Central from the stand the furthest away from the city on George St, or if you are further up in the city, you can take the same buses, but they pick you up on Castlereagh St, which is 2 streets over from George st, parallel.

Parking is also realy difficult. There is parking all over and around The Bank, but finding a spot is the tricky bit. Basically, i suggest getting there at 7pm on the dot, just after the Clearway on King St has finished, then you'll get one right on the road. Otherwise, try the back lanes.

1234 - if you need a lift back into the city, or in from the city at all, gimme a buzz.

I believe half price cocktails start at midday- when the bank opens
Thats a lot of drinking till everyone arrives ;)
 
but the important thing to remember is that it finishes at 8pm :)

it's now 1:53pm. and yes it's tuesday.

i just realized looking at my party calender that i have not been to the bank five tuesdays in a row.

must make amends tonight :)

I'll be getting the 7 oclock 370 bus down to Kings Street. I'll just wander down the street till I find the hotel. You lot just going to be in the bar are you? I've no idea what any of you look like. I'd PM someone my mobile number but I don't know if it works in Oz. I can get people from home who ring me, and I can ring them (now I know how to get an international line) but I haven't tried soemone from Oz ringing me yet. Could be worth a try though.

Since I don't know the public transport well enough in the nights, I'll just be getting a taxi back home I think, rather than arsing about with buses if they even run that late.
 
tell the driver of the 370 to stop you at "Newtown train station".

it's likely i will be on that same 370 as you :) unless i head in directly from the city.

once you have found the Newtown train station, there are two pubs adjacent to it. the Bank hotel looks slightly more salubrious :). if in doubt, ask the doorman and i am sure he will give you an aye or nay.

then head to the BACK of the pub as that's where the folk tend to congregate. remember, not the front bar. but the one past the restrooms and all the way to the rear.

Well I got there quite late, but managed to get remarkably drunk in the proceeding hours... Was great to meet 1234 and AlphaNumeric and also great to catch up with everyone... and Backo ;)

I'm feeling quite scattered this morning... stupid alcohol...

Unsquare is probably saying that, but without the "never doing it again" part ;)

How far into the night do you remember? A little while before you went you just stood up and said "I shouldn't have had that cigarette" that you'd just smoked and went to the toilet, we assumed to be sick. You ate a cigarette as well, though that was earlier in the night so I imagine you remember that :D

Took me about 5 drinks before I remembered its SCOONER and not pint! The guy behind the bar kept having to tell me. Eventually I wrote it on my hand.
Was a good night, mice to meet you all, if not briefly in the case of some. I've a half soggy beer mat saying how great I am signed by Up All Night %) and I amazed Chaos Butterfly with my complete lack of knowledge of "breaks" :o Cheers to DJC for the lift home as well :)
I'll see a few of you again I imagine. Macksta drunkenly gave me his phone number, though managed to be so drunk he couldn't type it in properly the first few times ;)
 
LOL that was one of the best TT i've been to in a while. :D
Twas great to see some old faces (Donny Don't) and some new ones (AlphaNumeric, 1234, and what i saw of Unsquare). =D
