Sydney : Terrific Tuesdays@ Newtown : Sydney Bler Drinks Posse

I enjoy going to Newtown, but it is sort of on the other side of town for me. Why not the Roxbury in Glebe? Just cos you Newtowners don't want to have to make an effort to make it to these things. I reckon one bus for you lazy people is fair enough :)
The Roxbury is a nice establishment, has a friendly environment, pool tables, lounges, and reasonable drink prices.

The only thing I could possibly miss with regards to the Bank are the half price cocktails, for sure.
 
^ yea i agree. Newtown is cool but its a massive trek and maybe im a fraidycat, but i wouldnt do it as a girl on my own (hence why i didnt come last week).

we could move it temporarily...then everyone could be happy..change is as good as a holiday remember?! :D
 
umm .. i was only joking by the way ... im sure they will let me back in this week ... that said, I'll be in newcastle .. so won't be there. Have fun crew.
 
The general consensus seems to be moving it outta Newtown, how about the City? Cheaper,. and easier to get too!

I'm all for the city. It's as central as we're gonna get and public transport is as good as its gonna get.

hehe I think the only general consensus is that everyone would like it to be at a venue that is convenient for them.

im for the city. Newtowns a pain to get to for me. Maddisons is not bad because its right next to central.
 
yeah the only reason I haven't attended one of these is because Newtown is halfway across Sydney for me. Somewhere easier like Central for instance, has buses and trains running at all hours of the day/night and stops right there.

but in regards to prices, I would prefer somewhere cheap cause tuesday is end of the week for my pay and i've usually got nothing left.
 
the pav's cheap... but i think there's only so many 2.50 vodka lemon lime's one can bare to consume :P
I'd hate to have to reseign myself to trekking to The Bank for the half price cocktails... ;)

Keystroke - Wynyard is also very convenient to trains and buses, and close to the ferries.
I'm just thinking...maybe we shouldnt limit our selection to particular areas of the city when pretty much everywhere is accessible by taking a train/bus one stop further...*shrug* :)

Well I was there.. Where was everyone *laughs*

Stupid Bluelight being down mean't no contact from anyone. I heard a few Sydney Groovers were having withdrawls, watch a bitch! - Well your fix has returned, be happy, smile.

The city is all of an 8min difference to Newtown, and no safer or cheaper, especially if you drive in and have to park.

Meh

That said i'll make it in once in a while no matter where it is.

I agree... there are buses from the city all the time to Newtown, and the Bank is RIGHT next to Newtown train station... c'mon people its not that difficult... And two of the most important things, firstly, half price cocktails, and secondly Newtown is fucking cool.

I don't live in N-Town any more either, I just miss it :)

All these people who said they have never been but are going to i grow tired of, stop making excuses and roll up.. ROLL UP MOTHERFUCKERS.... and see what a tuesday night can offer you.... oh if u are thinking who i am dont worry I want to remain anonymous... but u all know who i am.
