[SYD] - Transmission 9th B'day! 03/09/05 REVIEWS!

ps. Camo face paint looks cool but word of advise go easy with the stuff! If what you got is anything like proper military camoflage face paint be careful cos it's kinda nasty oily shit (like sunscreen only stains worse). If you put it on your forehead, when you get hot n sweaty it can run a little and get in your eyes. Stings like sunscreen. (Army guys usually only put it below the eyes and cover the top of the head with a camo hat) Also what I hate is when you cover your whole face and neck with the stuff, do an absolutly awesome job of cool como patterns ect then few hours later get a little hot. Sweating starts to make it feel pretty uncomfortable, face iches a bit. Almost impossible not to mess it up, scratch or wipe your face a few times and then get paint on your hands and clothes... Don't mean to put a downer on ya fun, just letting ya know. Maybe put it only pretty thin.

Hehehe Yeah i know i was only planning on putting a couple lines on below my eyes... ;)

I forgot to buy a camo hat!! Where am i going to find that???

Should i just wear normal shoes? But all my shoes are white!!! lol What if i got black ballet shoes, man that would be soooo comfortable!!! Untill someone stands on my foot!! hehe
 
Should be able to get a pretty decent camo hat at Christie's in the city. They're usually pretty good. Otherwise there's always army disposal shops. (Some disposals sell some pretty shitty stuff tho :\ )
 
Sydney is too far to go for a camo hat... lol i'm a westie!! haha

Maybe i'll find something out this way? Well hopfully anyway....

Ahhh well maybe i'll just do it on Saturday night? We were even talking about Transmission and i couldnt do it!! lol 8)

Going to test out the camo pants tonight at Sublime, taking the digital camera and all the usual shit, so hopefully the pockets will stand up to the test!! =D

I'm thinking bout buying a couple CD's this weekend, maybe DJ 4 Strings? I havent really heard that much of his stuff, can anyone reccommend any CD's thats are from DJ's playin at Transmission?? :)

I think i'll be shunning the camo gear....it's hard enough finding your friends at raves as it is let alone when everybody is wearing the same thing!

Some of the melbourne BLers did the camo gear for two tribes i think and had a sash of chupa chups ala bullets slung across their shoulder which looked quite cool though.

haha that would be pretty funny, but i dont like the price on the thing!! Over $400!!!! Thats pretty expensive for what it is!!

I found a store in Penrith that has heaps of camo stuff!! Yay something closer to home...

The only problem is now i gotta save some $$$

sounds like a bit of a joke. I mean the line up so doesn't appeal to me, chromatics lights and set up would be cool, esp. at SSC, instead of superblown, but everyone to their own i guess, if i had heaps and heaps of drugs i guess i'd prolly gurn.
Pass on this one, lol about camo gear, that's pretty gay.. Whats next OK everyone wear truckers hats and fluro stuff to TM23.

I must say i dont really like your attitude!! "Sounds like a bit of a joke", riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... lol You obviously dont know good music when you hear it!! haha :p

If you need heaps drugs to be able to enjoy an event then there is something wrong with you... Learn to be happy with who you really are dude and not with who you become when you are off chopz!! There is more to life than just drugs and if you dont know how to enjoy life while straight then you are really going to struggle in this world...

As for camo theme, i think it is a mad idea. Why not have a theme?? It adds a bit of fun to the night. ;)

I cant get the night off work :( :(

And i hate going to raves after work coz i just feel so drained, so the choice is:
1. Go to work and not transmission.
2. Got to work then transmission.

I wish i could chuck a sicky but i dont think thats possible...

I'd probably have to work till about 11pm - 11.30pm and i would have to travel from Penrith to wherever Transmission is (Homebush????)

My advice:

1) GO! (you should not be allowed to get out of it that easy ) ;)
2) Let ya boss know you have payed big bucks 4 tix and are going out straight after work. Maybe ask to see if you can finish up a little early... If your boss is nice they probably will at least not keep you back late.
3) Try to rope in someone at work or some random friend to drive ya there if you aren't driving. (good luck!)
4) Grab a bottle of caffeine tablets (No Doz) from a phamacy and drop a couple at the end of ya shift, and chuck on some bangin music for the ride there. (Goodbye work fatigue;) . You'll be charge'n! =D )

You'd be there in no time! It won't start filling up until after midnight, and goes until 7am....it won't start going of until about 2-3am....

Just take your rave gear to work, get changed after your shift and head straight there!

You'll have to start thinking of some better excuses hehe
 
Another girl from work has already asked to get the night off she was told no, but she can leave first... Maybe if i ask nicely i'll be able to be let go second!! *crosses fingers* :)

As for caffeine tablets... They dont work on me, neither does Red Bull, V or coffee!!! I think i'm immune to the stuff!! Haha 8)

I wanna go, i heard how good the warm up party was from friends, did anyone go to that?

I think one of my friends has a work conference thing on the Saturday so i'll just scab a lift with them. I drove to the last rave, i really dont wanna drive to this one. 8( %)

Oh but i do have good news.... I got September 24th off work!!!! Prophecy here i come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D =D
 
Warm up party was absolutely awesome. Space is a gr8 venue. Technoboy absolutely rocked it. One of the best nights I've had in a long time :)

Hell keen for Camo, esp as it's back at the SSC. Disappointed about Gielen pulling out, but what can you do! Yoji will be fantastic, and the Trans Crew always do a gr8 job with sound/lighting etc.

29.5 sleeps!!
 
^^Yeah Space was good. Was my 2nd time there. Went there the week before for ANOT with Ronski Speed. I was impressed. I like it better than Gas venue. (oh and they had a heap of lasers too)

When Transmission Warm Up was there the following week at Space it rocked even harder. Many more people and they used a whole separate entrance with the elevators and all. Very cool.:)

Went to Gas over the week end for the Transmission Vinyl lauch. Meh... What can I say. Gas venue doesn't really do it for me. I didn't think the music was all that great either :p

Looking foward to Transmission.
 
finally got my ticket, can't wait for this, its coming around pretty quick!
 
nah we got the buy 3 tickets get one free pack thing, the vip tickets are sold out, friends stuffed around to long organising themselves
