Liquid M is without a doubt Sydney's best live trance performers, they return to Transmission main stage for a full 30 minute prime time live set! ...blah.... blah.... blah... yadda... yadda....yadda ...array of lighting, staging and lasers. <EDIT> Decided to cut the marketing hype on this one. I'm sure you get the idea. This is a live dance routine with lights and lasers. Sorry for my lack of enthusiasm on this one but I don't care how "fantabulous" and "explosive" this is I don't like live dance routines at the best of times and especially not at a rave. (I thought it was about the party goers dancing and enjoying good music?!?) As a replacement for Johan Gielen, this just adds insult to injury IMO.

Johan Gielan Cancelled for September

Regrettably Johan Gielan is not coming to Australia in September!

Johan Gielan had confirmed shows to play in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane for his Australian tour in September 2005.

Late last week some unfortunate events happened beyond the control of Transmission promotions; Perth and Brisbane cancelled their Johan Gielan shows within days of each other. Due to this unfortunate situation, Johan Gielan’s Australian agent decided to cancel Gielan’s Aussie tour. Deeming the tour, not financially viable with only a Sydney and Melbourne show confirmed.

This unfortunate news has lead Transmission Promotions to back an all-Australian trance act, Liquid M as a replacement.

Liquid M is without a doubt Sydney’s best live trance performers, they return to Transmission main stage for a full 30 minute prime time live set! This trance extravaganza will blow you away with full-choreographed live dance routines, plus an incredible array of lighting, staging and lasers. These Sydney trance superstars will turn the main arena of the State Sports Centre into catacomb of explosive Trance mayhem. Do not miss this stunning performance!

Rarely has an international promised on the Transmission line up ever been cancelled.

I really wanted to get to see and hear a Johan Gielen set!! Was the main DJ set I was planning to listen too!!

I wish they could've grabbed someone like Cosmic Gate, Blank & Jones, Dumonde, PUSH, Rank 1, Markus Schulz, Kai Tracid. ect ect to replace him...

I don't understand why they would hire live dancers to replace him?

Well live dancers aside, Liquid M are f#%*ing awesome! Even though I also was looking forward to Johan Gielan... the music Liquid M produce is better than any of records/CD's Johan could have played. I just wish Liquid M were doing a longer set than 30 mins, then it would have definitely made up for Johan's cancellation.

Sorry about being bitter about the live dancers its just that for me I like going to a trance club or rave to dance becuase I love the music and the crowd vibe. It's like everyone is there to just dance together and enjoy the music. Whereas almost everywhere else especailly in an RnB and Hip Hop scene everyone will be dancing to show off and say "look at me are't I just God's gift to the world?" or Guys and girls dancing just to pick-up or sleaze on eachother. I just think having some "dancing girls" up on stage to show off and look sexy just cheapens the whole scene.

As for Johan's tracks... well I would have loooooved to hear him play his track "Flash". This went off on NYE when Armin droped this track on the crowd at Horden. Was vertually unheard of at the time too as it was so new.

haha I know what you mean, but I don't think Transmission is turning into Sydney's next RnB Superclub I think its more just about having a very tight and well choreographed show for people to watch

Wearing kinda normal camo coloured pants but it has random orange bits on it!! Kinda sounds gay.... but i assure you it looks good!!! It has 5 pockets!!! 2 of them being normal and 3 of them are on the sides of my legs. And probably just wear a black tank top!!

I bought some of that face paint stuff too!! Yay!! Soooooo excited!!!

I'll be asking for the night off work tonight.... hopefully my boss is very understanding in the fact that i want to get completely f**ked up and she'll let me go!! 8( %)
