I really think Fuzzy are going to have to review their ticket selling for their 06 event. Surely limiting ticket sales to 2 per person or credit card would suffice.

I think alot of people purchase mass tickets for sale in the papers etc, ala BDO style.

last year my mate had to buy a ticket off this guy out of the paper, who said he had almost 50 tickets...

rather rediculous, if you're just cashing in big time on this - making lots of seriously interested people missing out.


I think I'm the one of the only few in this thread really excited about Field day this time, I can't wait to see Solveig tear the place down....
 
yep ticketek sold out last night...and itm isn't far behind...

I think none of us are keen on going cos nobody else seems keen on going and nobody else seems keen on going cos no one in the thread has seemed keen to go etc etc etc. It's a vicious cycle that needs to be broken by a brave and courageous soul who is willing to take the chance of declaring themselves a definite starter despite no one else having put their hand up.

It's risky for sure, but imagine the rewards... to be able to bask in the critical acclaim and the adulation of your peers!!!

So who's it going to be?
 
But my apathy is all part of my grand master plan. See, if you really, really look forward to something the anticipated event often doesn't live up to expectation so even if you have a 'good' day you're disappointed because it wasn't 'great'. If you believe that you're going to have a shit day then you'll be stoked when you have a 'good' or 'great' day and leave the event much happier than you would have in the first scenario.

I learnt my lesson after the second field day. ;)
 
DJC you bloody well have 4 tickets! AND we don't have a beachhouse *yet*

get twisting on some arms so we can make a decision puh-lease. did you call r&c? sorry i had to ask...:P

There is going to be no shade at Field Day anymore after they cut all the trees down. It was bad enough this year let alone next. Thats why i'm not going, hehe.

I'm so hearing you on the tree thing. I would say they should do more tent things but that tent thing last year was like a sauna. I swear it was cooler in the sun.

you get me a beachhouse and I'll be there. and now I'm going to write my essay before you beat me...

Damn i want to go to this now...i've never been to one before because i'm not really a house/breaks fan, but in this case i don't think it's really about the music.

I just want to spend a cool new years day recovering. and i cant think of any better way than doing it in the domain with nice music in the background.

yeah there is going to be lots of people walking around, and im positive this year its going to be more than last year. I spoke to a friend at fuzzy and she mentioned something about them only being licenced to sell x amount of tickets, so it should be MUCH more larger than last year. out of all the events that are held i think this one has been commercialised the most. buts its exciting to think about who is going to be the magical special guest at the end again, only this time i will make sure i am right up front because the music quality is shit elsewhere.

but im going to have a good day. im not going to dance, I prefer dancing like a nutcase in clubs better, that atmospehere of sweat quality music sound and lights is just not going to compare on new years day.

but to be part of that vibe and see the domain light up on new years day and be on a picnic blanket with good friends with good music is all im expecting.
 
John Wall said that the area was going to be extended for this year (I say this year forgetting it's actually next year but you know what I mean) which means same number of people as last year (20,000) but more room for spreading. Not that it matters cos it wont be the same without the big old trees to hug. RIP trees.
 
John wall being Johnno wall? with any luck he's playing there again this year, he's one of my favourite local DJs.....


and I thought he really belted out some massive tunes last year before Roger Sanchez (I think he played just before?)

keystroke I hope you are joking!! John Wall is the guy who puts it on! So of course he's gonna be playing, most likely in a prime slot as he always does.

I really need to stop whoring this thread.

edit: you wont be able to buy tix from ticketek cos they sold out 2 days ago and the fuzzy shop gave all their tix to other outlets cos their server crashed under the weight of the initial mailout response last friday. inthemix is your only hope and they will prob be gone by the end of today
