Supplements one MUST take

Please do if possible, I'm still curious.

Just asked him. He gets melatonin in powdered form and suspends it with alcohol. Then you can use decide on the proportions. Then, we just put it in a eyedropper bottle and I just take a few drops out when I use it. :)

I don't think there are any supplements one MUST take. Some ones that I like, though; Spirulina (Phytonutrients) Hemp/Cannabis, Whey protein powder. I generally let my diet handle the regular nutrients and vitamins. I'll take fish oil for recovery too, but not daily.

A potent multivitamin/mineral + Ginseng.

For the neurological receptors, I occasionally take Theanine, Tyrosine, and 5-HTP (has to be 50mg or less early in the day).

For recreation, I take Phenibut & PEA.

I like my caffeine early in the day.

currently consume a fistful of shit.

multi
fish oil
vit c
spirulina
magnesium (couple different kinds)
pea protein
caffeine (via nodos plus, thai red bull and chinese green tea)
ginkgo + brahmi
creatine (workout days)
dark chia seeds (workout days)

and i'm enjoying my first week on noopept. i think i'll be doing this for a while.

^the basic stuff : multivitamin, magnesium, fish oil, and vitamin D (calcium if you're not getting enough from food)
And then I'd take specific supplements to treat the symptoms. What symptoms are you experiencing?

A multivit and max strength fish oil is all I take but I've just bought a load of pscillium husks to try and sort my digestive tract out. Oh and I'm having probiotic for the same reasons atm.

If I'm training then protein after.

There is no replacement for benzos, and there is no point in looking for one. If you want to keep getting disappointed, then keep trying to find one. And the longer I stay sober off of them, the more I realize, I DON'T WANT ANYTHING like a benzo, get ya all retarded like and forgetful lol, the anti-anxiety and euphoria from those bars, are soooo not worth it.

I suppose I've always been a supplement junkie, even when I was using , always cared about keeping health in check, and staying safe. Everyone should definitely be aware of the damage they cause to themselves. Obviously the most important thing is eating right, and exercising, and sleeping well, but sometimes that might not be enough.

The point of Rhodiola is that it helps you GREATLY adapt to daily stress, and even increases your endurance. Finding a good brand is of course important. Don't know if we're allowed to name any? But the two constituents are Rosavins and Salidrosides, you'll find a standard one to have 3% and 1%, respectively. I highly suggest you find one with a HIGHER amount. The brand I use has 5% Rosavins, but no Salidrosides, there is an expensive one I found that has 5, and 2, shall be using that later. Rhodiola helped me truly increase stamina, I run further and easier than I have before and lifting weights I can endure more, it's definitely noticeable. Rosavins I read to be more for Serotonin, and Salidrosides are for Dopamine. If you have a high Rosavin content, and not satisfied or not noticing anything (give it longer than just a few days obviously), try finding one with higher Salidro. content. I can vouch for its anxiety reducing (but not eliminating) effects.

One important supp. I totally recommend and use daily is Mucuna Pruriens, natural source of L-Dopa. The key is to use the regular type, not a L-Dopa extract, that way you can use it daily. That's why I use Rhodiola with a high Rosavin content, and combining them is awesome, and you don't get an imbalance of either. It's a pleasant stimulation. Mucuna has a ton of benefits, even for the guys, helps with premature you know what :p (you last longer whether you have PE or not), and helps with working out and gaining muscle!

Fish Oil, a -racetam nootropic, Turmeric, Corydalis, Bacopa, Ashwagandha, Kratom and the above mentioned... that's like the core of my supp. regime, but sometimes only a few of those things, money doesn't come easy obviously... ever since I stopped using all that unhealthy fun stuff couple months ago, been supplementing a lot to get back to normal, and it definitelyyyyy helps. Ethnobotanicals are awesome!

Started St. John's Wort yesterday... any positive responders here??
I made the mistake of getting just a pure Hypericin bottle, when instead it should've been having Hyperforin too, is where the real benefits are from what I keep researching and reading, but looking toward to waking up easier in the mornings. ADRENAL FATIGUE is real! Lol

If there would be only one supplement I may suggest, it be Ashwaghanda/ Whitania Somniferum.

Causes an very good and notiable enhancement of stamina (sex) and sleeparhitecture I found.
Very good allround adaptogen I believe, only one of the few supps that were noticable.
This and melatonin I actually felt working.

Fish oil, glucosamine, b-complex, l-theanine, occasionally valerian root, though its subtle to me. Pretty basic so far, but doing research and definitely worth trying GABA and rhodiola for my anxiety. Currently dealing with waves of PAWS after tapering from a few years of clonaz use. meh.

Thanks. No symptoms (just curious) I'm as strong as a horse :)

I take DLPA, a multi vit, and ubiquinol when I get up.

L-tyrosine and more ubiquinol around noon.

At bed time I take 5-htp and ubiquinol, folic acid, vit d...along with some psychiatric medications...a low dose of resperidone and an average dose of lamotragine 45 minutes before bed. I have benzos too but only use them in extreme situations, I've been on that roller coaster a few times and won't take it regularly any more.

I've tried velarian herbal mixes with Passion flower and hops, and kava kava for anxiety but they only work if I can just sit by myself and meditate, I think the positive aspects come more from the meditation so I rarely take them.

I tried melatonin for sleep but it literally put me in a rage. I took it for 3 days, didn't sleep the whole time and was angry at the world and it was only at 2-3mgs at night.

I have a history of paradoxical reactions to suppliments and psychiatric medications and some recreational drugs (when I used to do mass quantity of coke at a schedule of 5 days blowing hard, staying up the whole time, not eating, then crash for two days and start over I would sit in lotus position almost the whole time and was the most calm I have ever been in my life, I was more open and a little more talkative but for the most part it just chilled me out, my friends at the time called me The Guru ha, rolling only worked maybe a dozen times with quickly deminishing peaks, I only rolled once a month sometimes twice for about a year in the late 90's (I've been told the pill quality has gone to shit since then) that ended with my peaks only lasting about 20 minutes while everyone else had a blast and I was left to babysit and make sure they all had water).

It's taken ten years to come to this point in my med/suppliment regime and it works better than anything has before. I just started adding suppliments slowly a few months ago. It's been trial and error and my psychiatrist doesn't like it but I told her she works for me and she can either work with me on this or I'll go to someone else, so I bring her studies and info on all the suppliments so she can recheck my research for interactions. She underestimates my cognative abilities a lot of the time but I understand why she wants to take great care, after all, she's the one who will be held accountable if something goes wrong.

Point being, there are no required suppliments or psychiatric medications you MUST take, mostly because you never know how someone's individual brain chems are going to react to them...

The only one I can't really live with out is liquid D3. I don't find that mineral supplements do much for me... my body doesn't really process them fully, even if I take them with a full meal. The omegas I used to take in pill form, but now I eat grass fed beef, coconut oil and hemp hearts so I've got it covered. I find for myself that I need very little of the EFAs, which leads me to believe that the RDA is overstated for that and probably most other vitamins.

I do enjoy taking zinc citrate semi-regularly, especially during periods of working out. It seems to increase my virility or something.

You guys realise most of you are pouring money down the drain, right?

I've only scanned over the first and last pages of the thread but there's a lot of misinformation going on here.

Vitamins provide almost no benefit for people who have well balanced diets. Ditto for stuff like fish oil. Spirulina has absolutely no evidence to show it provides the benefits the shysters promote.

The best thing you can do for you health is to eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and exercise regularly. The idea that miracle pills are going to improve your health is just marketing.

This is very true. But many people do not have well balanced diets. Vitamin deficiencies are not uncommon, thus taking a multivitamin is not a bad idea. They're very cheap anyway.

I guarantee it is cheaper to buy vegetables than wasting your money propping up the pharma industry :\

My HIV doctors have said not to bother with vitamins as a good diet is all that's needed.
