SuperBowl: New York Football Giants VS New England Patriots

blowout? they won by 3 points.

yeah, look at all the posts before the game started. "pats by a shit ton zomg"....everyone said that the pats would blow the giants out, and i quickly retorted not so. hats off to giants' D.

congraulations to the new york giants. also, that throw by eli manning under pressure was great and the catch david tyree made of the pass was one of the best catches i've ever seen.

Go back and reread this thread where all the obnoxious bandwagon Patriots fans predicted a blowout.
am i an obnoxious bandwagon patriot? i predicted a patriots win. i didn't predict a blow out.

Damn, I wanted to watch this and it sounds like I missed a good one. The sports channels here spent the last week showing old Superbowls, but they're not replaying this one :X.

Glad the Giants won, mainly because of New England arrogance (including attempting to copyright "19-0" and publishing a book about their unbeaten season. Pride before a fall and all that.

ali = i wasn't calling you obnoxious, nor a bandwagon fan. but a lot of the other posts fell into both categories. i got respect for a real fan of the franchise.

and the last part was me being over the top exuberant. my boys pulled a big time win out of their asses. so sue me.

i already stated i've got respect for the opposing franchise.

Burress brought in that touchdown, but he had a very mediocre game. and that touchdown I could have caught, there was nobody covering him for about a yard either way. the fact is, he did not have as bad of a game as Randy Moss or Tom Brady.

what is up with the formerly terrible two? Brady and Moss have been impotent the last two games in the playoffs.

the key to beating Brady is putting pressure on him. the Giants tried a blitz package in the beginning of the year but it was not working out. with Strahan and that other guy who's name I can't type out on the defensive line - who needs extra blitzers? they more than handled Brady, as you can see, by them sacking him 5 times. Brady could not throw the long ball at all tonight. it was a non-factor. I wonder what's up with that? was he injured? usually the long ball is their number one threat.

props to the Giants defensive and offensive lines. they handled the Patriots.

anyways... I just want to point out that I predicted the exact spread of this game. I did say G-Men 27 Pats 24, but who could have guessed it would have been such a low scoring game?

the fact is I predicted a +3 Giants spread and I am an official sports and gaming genius.

thank you the New York Football Giants, for winning me a couple hundred dollars today by betting against that ab. ridic. +12 spread.

fuck all you massholes
hahahahahahhahhahahahahaha
18 and one is still impressive, if youre a loser

Go back and reread this thread where all the obnoxious bandwagon Patriots fans predicted a blowout. Now blink, and think about the reality. In a close, hard fought game, my boy Eli Manning and the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS won the Superbowl and put down the Patriots.

And by the way, that snub by Brady when Eli tried to shake his hand before the game looks even more petty and childish now. I usually try to be neutral and see both sides of an issue but for now let me say:

FUCK YOU CHEATING ARROGANT COCKSUCKERS!!!!! THE NEW YORK GIANTS ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!!!!

And Plax, sorry for doubting you.... that was just anxiety talking. Playing injured all year and making clutch plays is one of the reasons the G-Men got to where they are.

I am ecstatic!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of cocksuckers, looks like Plax will be doing plenty of that in the offseason. Dude's neck is now the longest it's ever been.

all, of a sudden brady's a complete failure? i know you giants fans are enjoying an unexpected and famous victory, but come on?

first of all, football is a team game. the giants and the patriots franchises have won the same number of superbowls each: 3 (although the giants percentage is better as they have made it to fewer superbowls)

brady has more rings than the manning brothers combined and he broke the single season record for touchdown passes - formerly held by peyton manning.

you absolutely deserve your celebration but when peyton or eli have won two more superbowls and taken the record back from tom brady, you'll be in a better position to gloat quite so vehemently :)

^ I agree, and he can redeem himself if he sends Gisele to collect some valuable Manning semen

There is no "I" in team Mr. Brady!!

ahhhh, i knew TR would surface to talk nonsense sooner or later. in the afterglow of the victory your sour grapes are like music to my ears.

now that eli and the g-men have earned their props, i can't wait to see what direction this franchise is going to go in. jerry reese deserves major accolades for a successful first year at GM. look how many of the rookies he drafted performed at a VERY high level.

i can't wait for the inevitable rematch of the g-men and pats. patriots are getting older but still retain a power nucleus of a great team. with a little retooling i don't believe anyone can put them in the "superbowl hangover" club of missing the playoffs. should be an interesting year coming up.

noooowwww.... on to march madness as an appetizer before the main course of the 2008 baseball season.

and for the record, brady and the pats are no failures. to compete in such an epic game alone is a victory of sorts. both teams played tremendously.

while Tom "butt-chin" Brady and his bunch of All-American do gooders shouldn't consider themselves as failures you'll be damned if you ask each player on the Patriots if they consider this season a failure and they in fact say no.

i guess i'm most happy for tom coughlin - he seemed to get a disproportionate amount of criticism. this should shut up some of the naysayers.
