4 grams of Piracetam one and a half hours prior to rolling.
4 GRAMS.
Four.
Yep - thats your problem.
More important than the amount you took, is the spacing.
Since it has no toxicity, you can take very large doses of Piracetam without concern.
But it should be taken WELL before the roll.
I have read many accounts of Piracetam ruining or muting a roll when taken at the same time.
Other accounts claim that it needs to be spaced by at least 3-4 hours.
Some people claim it takes a DAY or two before its full benefit sets in.
I never used it for rolling, but I used it extensively during my recovery from MDMA over the last year.
The very first dose I took was a goddamn miracle.
A transformation - like flipping a light switch.
For the first several months I only needed MICRO doses to have an effect.
When I was beginning a cycle, the first 2 days were always quite magical.
Colors became brighter, textures stood out, my sense of smell, my libido, my spirits all went UP.
It acts upon the NMDA receptors in the prefrontal cortex, causing an increase of both dopamine and serotonin to the PFC.
This is the target of MDMA, by the way.
But I clearly remember every single time I took it - there was a 'waiting' period before the 'magical' benefits set in.
In fact, the transition was sometimes difficult. Piracetam can cause an INCREASE in anxiety for some people.
Others tend to agree - it can be intense as it is setting in.
Some people get very withdrawn or even anxious.
Becoming argumentative is very common!
But at a certain point, there is a change.
Suddenly your verbal acuity goes through the ROOF.
Its like the brain is working MUCH more quickly than normal.
It is quite strange for its ability to stimulate normal thought processes - because it doesn't feel like a stimulant.
Yet you expect to, simply because of how powerful it is.
College students swear by the stuff, and it is a great alternative to stims.
And it has been known to potentiate a number of psychidelics since the 70s.
I recommend taking a small dose the night before - say 800 mg.
Then take another 800mg in the morning.
Then take an 'attack' dose about 4 hours before the roll.
4 grams is a bit heavy - try 3.
I suspect it is more effective this way because the first doses are allowed to reach lower portions of the intestines.
This is the primary site of all serotonin - and piracetam is known to increase serotonin in the gut.
It will even heal ulcers.
Even when used this way, it may diminish some of the intensity of the roll.
But it should allow you to interact socially more than normal, even during the come-up.
And some people swear by it - without it they cannot even enjoy rolling!
Just make sure you allow it PLENTY of time to set in.
There is NO need for the piracetam and the MDMA to be hitting you at the same time.
That is not the idea.
Once the piracetam has really taken effect - you will KNOW.
And it does not wear off quickly.
It remains quite effective for the first several DAYS of taking it.
Just make sure you wait until it is fully settled.
No less than 3 hours.
But it does lose potency after taking it enough times.
By day 3 there was no transformation for me, just a nice continued plateau of what I was already feeling.
There is reason to believe it decreases the toxicity of MDMA and its metabolites.
This may be a true-harm reduction technique.
So is the ALA.
I suggest taking MORE piracetam after the roll is over.
And the next day.
The metabolites are around for up to a week - why not clear them more quickly?
Keep your total nightly MDMA dose around 200mg.
Do not start escalating the dose - anything above 400mg is considered in the toxic range.
Re-dosing is the most effective way to case 'damage'.
A small 50mg bump is pretty reasonable, as is the timing.
Don't wait until you are already coming down to take it.
And don't go back for more, no matter the dose.
Ideal spacing is 90 days - so the next roll is breaking this guideline.
Don't make a habit of it.
60 days is really the minimum I suggest to people - but 90 days is preferred.
I takes between 1-3 months for people to replenish their serotonin after rolling.
Much longer when 'toxicity' occurs.
The Piracetam is probably protecting you, so keep trying with it.
It should work better next time, if you follow this advice.
Good luck.
