I'm certain this question has been visited many times before but I frankly don't know where to look and have researched google to figure this out but no ones story is specific enough to help either. Well, I am not sure if being on suboxone is technically "sober living" either but it's as sober as I'm going to be. It's legally prescribed, etc.
Anyway, I've tested positive twice now for oxy specifically and it makes absolutely no sense. It's been so long I can't even remember the last time I've even contemplated touching that stuff. I have no desire for it. Last time, they sent the sample that was positive for oxy to the lab and said it was just a false positive. This time, they didn't even say if they were sending it to the lab but I am going to call when they're open again to request that, however I'm afraid they threw out the sample. After much research, none of my other meds could cause any sort of false positive for oxy nor have I "accidentally" taken any.
I've read suboxone itself can cause a false positive for oxy but I just don't get that.
I'm afraid for this to happen again because then I'm basically kicked out of the program and I have a good job I cannot risk losing my meds. I have too much at risk, I would NOT use oxy.
Once again, I apologize this might be in the wrong section but I am very desperate for anyone's opinion/suggestion/experience.
Lastly, they said their tests are very accurate so that's why I fear that they didn't send it off to the lab to be sure that it is just a false positive or faulty test.
Thanks all.
