Suboxone considered sober living? Help anyway

I'm certain this question has been visited many times before but I frankly don't know where to look and have researched google to figure this out but no ones story is specific enough to help either. Well, I am not sure if being on suboxone is technically "sober living" either but it's as sober as I'm going to be. It's legally prescribed, etc.
Anyway, I've tested positive twice now for oxy specifically and it makes absolutely no sense. It's been so long I can't even remember the last time I've even contemplated touching that stuff. I have no desire for it. Last time, they sent the sample that was positive for oxy to the lab and said it was just a false positive. This time, they didn't even say if they were sending it to the lab but I am going to call when they're open again to request that, however I'm afraid they threw out the sample. After much research, none of my other meds could cause any sort of false positive for oxy nor have I "accidentally" taken any.
I've read suboxone itself can cause a false positive for oxy but I just don't get that.
I'm afraid for this to happen again because then I'm basically kicked out of the program and I have a good job I cannot risk losing my meds. I have too much at risk, I would NOT use oxy.
Once again, I apologize this might be in the wrong section but I am very desperate for anyone's opinion/suggestion/experience.
Lastly, they said their tests are very accurate so that's why I fear that they didn't send it off to the lab to be sure that it is just a false positive or faulty test.
Thanks all.

Can't help with the false positive, but I can say I would consider suboxone technically sober living as you are just taking a daily medication prescribed by a doctor.

Sobriety to me would be defined by recreational drug or alcohol use so if you are getting it from a doctor and it's assisting you in keeping off of opiates, then I would consider it sober.

If it's causing you problema at work and you feel you no longer need the medication, I would recommend doing a taper down.

There is a dependency you can develop on suboxone so for sure, you want to get clean at some point.

Just make sure your 100% ready and don't set yourself up for a relapse.

Thank you cj and johnny for both your responses. Cj, I did request them to send it off, would that be the same as a gc/ms? I agree, though they had said they're accurate tests, there's obviously faulty tests that create false positives for a reason. I just got unlucky with a faulty test, when I'm doing so well, of course. My other question would be, could I just ask to take another Ua to prove I have not been doing anything I'm not supposed to? Thanks again!

Thank you johnny. I have tapered down immensely as I went from 3 per day to just one. And sometimes, I feel like I could stop completely and be okay. But that would "mess up their levels", which looks bad. So I just do what I'm told.
And I see your point about sobriety. I'm not abusing my meds or using any illegally so I can see how it would just be like someone who takes their heart medication daily, etc.
but this is a bit different being a narcotic, that is why I also agree that I absolutely do not want to be on this med for the rest of my life.
Very awesome perspective, thank you.
