I was going to say that 1mg is a really high dosage, and that he should consider using less.

Did you read the guys thread who said he'd been IV'ing 16mg's of bupe... and then he's wondering why sublingual isn't working for him anymore...? Craziness.
The responses, especially yours and laCster's, are good enough. I feel bad for the person, like my 2 cents thrown on top would be the straw that broke the camel's poor fragile ego. Yikes.
I can't imagine being that fucked when it comes to the state of one's opiate receptors.
Happy Thanxgiving everyone. I have a question that someone may be able to help me out with. Been on subs for 3yrs. Havent done ANY other opiate since. I get the 8mg film and the past couple days have been IVing them. No more than 2mg at a time. I've done my homework before hand as I have never IV'd anything. My question is how many units of water do i need for a 1mg piece? I've read ppl on here saying as much as 90 units which i think is way too much. I only have a 50 unit rig and dont like having to fill the entire thing because i have no room for drawing back. I would like to hear from captain h but any responses would be appreciated.
Well, I'm guessing that you will start to get pretty high within the next hour. Buprenorphine administered sublingually can take up to three hours to hit for some people (though on average it's about 45min-1.5 hours). I would wait until its been about three hours, and if you're still not getting any strong effects or sense of build-up, than I would dose another .5mg. However, you mentioned that you plug morphine, so seeing as you have nothing against that route of administering drugs, I would recommend that you plug the suboxone if you do end up wanting to redose.
However, nits important to know that rectal administration boosts absorption by 24%, so use .5mg, not another 1/2mg.
When you use buprenorphine/suboxone rectally, it hits you in about 5-10 minutes, and produces a much cleaner feeling. It's the best way to take it IMO, and its especially good in your situation because you can gauge quickly where your tolerance is. However, if you end up using up to 4mg and don't feel anything after a while, than buprenorphine is not going to get you high, due to the ceiling effect and all.
If you do get euphoria from the suboxone today, it will definitely be diminished by tomorrow, especially if you use a high dose, (2mg+). The only way you'll be able to keep getting a relatively consistent effect from it will to be by keeping your doses low, and to try and wait at least 48 hours between dosages.
Also, would it be safe to have ONE or TWO bottles of ale/beer later tonight. So long as I'm not feeling ill?
I don't mean getting hammered, as I fully appreciate the dangers of opiates and alcohol. I just mean enjoying one or two bottles of fine ale whilst I watch a film or the football.
The ethanol/buprenorphine combination seems to be not that pleasurable. Some people enjoy it, but I don't care for it.
Don't you not care for ethanol in general though?
Yeah but there are plenty of people who used to fully enjoy drinking alcohol, until they got on Suboxone, and then they noticed that they don't like it anymore.
Yeah, I've heard of that happening.. unfortuantley for me that wasn't the case.. Hah. Booze has no different effect on me with the bupe in my system, so I can still drink like a fish.. something I'm trying not to do.
Ahh.. see, I have a distinct love affair with bourbon and good scotch.. But..like a night of sex with a 2 when the night before you thought she was a 9.. I just need to stay away.
