Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v2; 2010

Today i did a full agonist for the first time in over a couple months now and i must say i was very displeased with the results. I almost found it sort of feeling like a "dirty" high if anyone can understand what i'm tryin to say. It really made me miss my bupe though and i wish i could take it now but i'm gonna wait till tomorrow night just to make sure i dont have harsh precips. Its just bupe from here on out. Best thing to have ever happened to me
 
How is everybody doing with buprenorphine?

I'm not sure the best way for me to continue tapering, since dissolving one 8mg tablet into 30ml is pretty diluted as is.

I'm thinking of dissolving 6mg into 30ml to get an even 0.2mg/mL, and then I could slowly transition from 13 units per shot to 10.
 
Is decreased libido a common side-effect of Suboxone? I'm asking because since tapering from 12mg to 1mg, I've been randy as a 14 year old. Prior to that, I literally had zero libido to the point that I would have wet dreams so my body could *ahem* empty its sack.

Anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

I feel I have to bring this up, for sake of clarity on my part. I realize bupe metabolizes into norbupe via the liver but norbupe doesn't readily cross the BBB, rendering it inactive, except for it's effect on the respiratory system (which it effectively depresses). Has my research steered me wrong?

It seems leaving "room" (empty receptors) for norbupe is pointless from a scientific standpoint. . .

No, it's not just you. I had the same experience with suboxone (and most opiates in general). It was just one of the aspects I did not like about being on it as it destroyed my motivation to try and date or just fool around with anyone.

That motivation comes back HUGE when you taper down. Good times. :)
 
Yeah I can go a long time and not even think about sex. But whenever I do it takes a pretty good ammount of time and the end isnt all too great!

UPDATE 12 pm

so far 1 mg has held me perfectly...i am hoping to sleep later, and wake up and dose 1mg again......

also hoping the transfer from 2mg to 1mg is just as easy as 8 to 6 and 6 to 4 and 4mg to 2mg was.....

Damn. I picked up my 2 x 3.2mg two day dose yesterday. Ended up taking 4.4mg yesterday and the remaining 2mg at 4am this morning.

I've phoned my drug worker to see if I can get anything more? I feel like a child asking for sweets. But, do you guys think I'll have any withdrawal? Right now I feel like its difficult to breathe and my face is really hot.

doubt it mate, i sometimes dont take mine for a couple of days at a time and i am fine, it dpends what you class as wd's?

I go thru withdrawal every morning at this dose. It just does not hold me. Now, I've stupidly dropped myself 1.2mg. So, I might make it thru to tomorrow, might not, without withdrawal.

Just crush the tablet into as fine a powder as you possibly can; any credit card-esque object will do (I use my organ donor card -- THE IRONY, PFFT!)

Divide that into 8 or 16 equal looking piles and snort one of those and you're good to go!

Sniffing and plugging have a bioavailability of around 50%, sublingual is around 30, so yes, these methods save more bupe.

Plugging is making a liquid solution, then shooting it up your arse with a needless syringe (oral syringes for young children work best).

Have fun!

I recommend dividing it into 16 piles for the forst time, wait an hour or so, and if it hasn't hit the spot, do another.

I am so on this tonight, Axe. Thanks! I haven't been high in FOUR FUCKING WEEKS! I don't drink, I can't smoke weed or do coke or even do any other opiates because the clinic where I get the Bupe makes me do random urine tests, so I'm literally FORCED into sobriety. I hate Sober Libra. She's boring and goes to bed early. LOL!

How are you doing this, exactly? I'm in a similar situation, 2 mg every other day, but I don't know how to get it down to 1 mg. I already have trouble breaking the pills into equal 2 mg pieces, so if I break the 2 mg piece in half I'm sure it will look like shit. I know the other alternative is to crush it into powder and divide up the powder, but where do you store this? Do you have like 8 different bottles you put the powder in? And I can't just leave it out in the open because I have roommates. Plus--how do you transfer powder that's on a desk to your mouth??

Sorry lots of questions but I really do need to start tapering down. I keep saying I will but I've been stuck at 2 mg every 48 h for a long time now.

Did this work for you? Just if you are taking 8mg of bupe every day, the 1mg may not have held you and you could just send you into withdrawals.

Sorry for second post--

CH, would you mind helping me with another tapering plan? I know we've done this before but I fucked up and relapsed after I was already through withdrawing.

This time, though, I am running out of bupe. My main hook moved away and my secondary hook is so unreliable for all intents and purposes I am cut off from bupe.

I have about 48 mg of Suboxone/Subutex left and 38 mg of clonazepam (so I do have benzos to help me this time). I currently take 2 mg of Suboxone every other day.

(Also, can I get prescribed buprenorphine if I go to a bupe doctor and tell him I'm addicted to bupe? Haha I know the chances of this are slim to none but I am curious. What would I need to tell him in order to get a prescription if I am not actually currently addicted to full agonists?)
