Hm, well it would vary person to person. I remember when I was taking 2mg sublingually I could still jump back over to heroin within 8-12 hours max. and I was on maintenance.

For "full effects" I would wait until you at least aren't peaking on buprenorphine. 4mg isn't a huge dose either so I am sure you could easily take the oxy soon.

I know you don't want to waste it though, so try to wait until you feel the time is "right" and you don't feel the buprenorphine at least. :)

A near 24 hours should be OK though, I would say by then you'll feel it all.

Going from Suboxone -> Methadone is easy, but...
going from methadone -> Suboxone is hard.

It's best to choose one ORT and stick with it but if you want to switch over, be very careful to wait long enough for the methadone to exist your system.
 
its been 25 hours... I dont feel the sub at all... and I only took the 4 mg of sub once.. havent been on it for days, weeks or months now... im about to chomp my percs.... I could wait like 6 or 8 more hours but really dont want to.... If I lose 5 or 10% thats ok but if you think it will be more than that, I will wait

For me suboxone i would vomit daily with a headache that only went away when i started to feel sick from w.d and ya once I swiched to subutex I am fine. I have a liver problem that prolly played into this its called gilberts sydrom and thats just an elevated level of bilirubin its not th at big of a deal its def no HEP C but ya it didnt make me feel while on the subs but the TEXes are great.. some liver pain now and then but what can u do
 
What are some equivalencies of bupe to other opioids at low doses (1mg)? Then additionally how much oxy/heroin/etc would lets say 8mg of bupe be equivalent to in order to determine tolerance?
 
You should be good to go Chemical as long as 40mgs of percs got you high before.....But that 4mg of sub you took equals out to more than 40mgs of OC.....If I have just taken one dose of sub then 20 hours is all I need max but I know my body enough to feel when I will feel it. Once you feel shitty at all your good to go...

I think it varies, a lot, from person to person.

I can tell you my experience, though it may not be accurate for you or any other person.

I was IVing buprenorphine at some dosage higher than I am now when I last used a full agonist. I used 1mg of dilaudid IV and got great effects.

I would probably equate 0.1mg to 0.2mg of buprenorphine to 1mg of hydromorphone.

When I tried oxycodone IV, I only used 15mg and got good effects but less enjoyable than the dilaudid.

So, knowing these numbers, buprenorphine, to me, is about 5 to 10 x stronger than hydromorphone, and about 100 to 150 x stronger than oxycodone. Keep in mind that the ROA for all substances in this example would be IV.

If you are using the Suboxone sublingually, then buprenorphine and hydromorphone are probably equi-potent, and buprenorphine would be roughly 15x stronger than oxycodone. (This is comparing sublingual buprenorphine to IV'd oxycodone/hydromorphone).

Well I have no methadone experience, but I do have experience when switching from buprenorphine to heroin and back and forth.

When I was using 2mg of suboxone sublingually, I could easily use heroin 8 hours to 12 hours later, and I got 100% of the effects I wanted/was expecting.

If you are using 6mg or 8mg of suboxone sublingually, you may want to wait 1-2 days.

If you are on 4mg or less of buprenorphine, you could theoretically take full agonists immediately, and get at least most of the effects. But for all of the effects, it wouldn't hurt to wait 8 hours or so.

Lol i hear ya man. I use to piss super fast and wonder why everyone took so long. in th beggining of my first year on suboxone i was pissin fine. after my second year i was kinda glad it took a little longer because i was at the same pace as everyone else. now its my third year and its takin a good 3-7 minutes pissin.but ive found useful tools like reading a magazin or watchin the clock go by and timing myself for fun. i guess for me when i dont think about it, it comes faster. also i recently got switched on subutex a month ago. i havent noticed any different effects other than when i take it nasally i get double the euphoria than when i took the suboxone nasally
 
about urinary retention.. i still have it and i got on it 3+ yrs ago and it never went away.. it sucks especially when they try to drug test you for the cops or probation or something.. they think you're not peeing on purpose cuz you're dirty lol
 
morphine sr help

hi all. last night i had a bit of an accident and cut my hand wide open to the point where my knuckle bones were visible. needless to say i had to get quite a few stitches, but wit my history they didnt give me anything for the pain. long story short my buddy hooked me up wit 60mg of morphine sr, which i took 12 hrs ago. i know that morph has a half life of 2-3 hrs, but morph sr is a time release formula and i cant find any info on the half life. i did chew the pills up pretty good cuz i heard that helps get around the time release, but my problem is i take suboxone(not everyday, but often). im in quite a bit of pain right now, and it seems that the morph is well outta my system, and i really would like to take a sub, but the last thing i need is precipitated wd. i've never experienced it before, but from what i hear its god awful. i've taken 16mg of suboxone like 4 hrs after 40mg of hydrocodone a few times and didnt go into wd, and i know that morph and hydro are basically the same. any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
 
You might want to wait at least a few more hours if possible. If the pain becomes unbearable, you can always try taking < 1mg of Suboxone, just to be on the safe side, and help gauge the effects. From there, after you feel better and not mild precipitated WD's, you can take more.

I'm finally going to begin kicking this shitty hydrocodone/oxycodone habit tommorow.

Will be starting Suboxone. My doctor wants to see me 2 days in a row, he says to get dosage adjusted right, is this what doctors usually do in Suboxone patients?

Also, will it be OK to take Tramadol before I start the Suboxone? Like within the 12-24 hour period I'm supposed to be in withdrawals? Say my appointment is at 3:00pm tommorow, would it be OK to take my usual tramadol tonight?
 
I'd like to answer my own question now that I have experience and help someone else who may have same question in future.

I waited about 21 hours and took my dose of methadone and felt it just as I would if I wouldn't have taken any suboxone.

New form of Suboxone (Sublingual film)

Well I went to my doctor yesterday and the nurse told me that around the 21st of this month they'll be switching to a new form of suboxone. It's essentially in the same kind of form as those thin lysterine breathe strips, dissolves in about half the time, and is lime flavored. No more shitty orange taste, but unfortunately for those of you who snort them, your kind of screwed. I personally IV them occasionally when I don't want to taste the orange death flavor in the morning, but other than that I don't have any kind of recreational value for them, hopefully with the new form I won't have to deal with nasty pill filler going in my veins, since they seem to think the naloxene prevents you from IVing them. I wish I could actually get high off them here n there.

I couldn't find anything about it on the internet, any of you guys who are on suboxone heard about this from your doctor?

i am the same way, i shoot my suboxone, and recently have been lookin for a way out of that, i hear they are coming up with a new patch as well, fda has approved it, thats great for us guys and girls that dont wana IV anymore, and hate that rediculious orange taste, not sure lime will be much better, how about no flavor?? i'd appreciate that.. but either way, this will also help the people being accused of perscription selling... good luck man, i hope i can get a dotor one of these days, but Vermont's clinics and programs all seam to have their heads up their asses, well not the actual programs, but the states policy's anyways... wont help anyone that tried to help themselves it seams!! ~godbless~
 
Well it's supposed to dissolve alot quicker. Plus I would imagine that a strip of film wouldn't be all that much bullshit flavored with orange/lime so it wouldn't be as powerful. I think lime would cover up the taste of bupe better, I took subutex while in detox and I actually preferred the raw chemical taste to the orange.
