Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v2; 2010

So I did Methadone today for the first time. 10mg at 08.45 AM and then another 7.5mg 5 hours later cause I did not feel anything. The last intake was 5 hours ago for me right now and I still don't feel anything, a little bit of tiredness maybe and a subtle floaty feeling when I walked around 2 hours ago but nothing more. I am nearly sure I did not get cheated cause the bottle was sealed and the taste was kind of strong and awful. Maybe I need to wait even longer from my Bupe intake to get proper effect from the Done.

First post ever, i have a question hopefully someone with a similar experience can answer. I've been on about 24mg of suboxone for a good month and a half now to come off a dose of maybe around 120mg of oxycodone a day. The hardest part for me to overcome even after my body physically adjusted to the change was the mental mood swings of deppression, anxienty, happyness, and just feeling useless. I was starting to feel normal then had gf problems and somehow at about the sametime realized i had somehow forgotten to take my subs for more than 24 hours. Got 4 30s. Todays day two of relapse about to grab some. I will go back on subs tommorow or by monday latest. My question is does the mental part of overcoming adiction gonna start back at square one??

Chris,

24mg of Suboxone is a lot. You don't need that much, and that may be making you feel worse. Try 8mg or less next time you're on Suboxone.

Doing OC's one last time won't ruin it for you, just don't lose sight/track of knowing that giving up opiates is for the better in the long run. :)

I would say it's technically impossible to ever get back to "sqaure one" because you can never forget that you enjoyed opiates. I feel that the answer is it doesn't matter, if your going to go back on oc, you're going to do it, if not, you won't. Just my view of opiate addiction, if you don't let it it won't take over you, especially since you've already got past the "i'll never get addicted" phase

I would suggest trying to lower your sub dose, you should be able to cut it down greatly and not notice any difference. I can take 6 or 32 and feel no difference. It can only help to feel better/the same from lower.

I would also recommend trying to cut your sub dose down. My fiance and I had a habit a little bit greater then yours and we are able to use around +-4mg suboxone daily, sometimes taking more/less depending on how we feel, no more then 5mg though.

Suboxone doctors are notorious for prescribing high doses when many, if not all patients do not need it. Less is more with bupe, and when you lower your dose, you will feel much better.

As for your question. You will never be able to get back to square one.And if you were able to, it's going to take years to get there. I find when I cheat, it's harder for me to get back into my suboxone, I just want to stay on oxy even though I know it's not possible. It's going to take time to truly get yourself out of the habit, and the longer you go without buying oxy, the more progress you will make.
 
how do i use temgesic 0.2 bupe? is the tablet made for under the tongue melting or what?
im sorry, im completely clueless. going to get it for the first time and never seen it or used it before. hoping it gets me high at least :P

They are to be disolved under the tounge. You can also snort them, or IV (if you use that ROA).

Are you using for maintenance or looking to get high? Suboxone has only true recreational value to opiate naive people IMO (not saying maintenance users don't get high). They are 2mg pills, not .2mg. Like I said, if you are looking for a high, being naive is the best, and the 2mg should do you well. Just let it sit under your tongue.
 
well boys and girls, today I went an entire day without suboxone, and was hooked up by a lovely lady with some OC 40's and Opana IR.

I've said many times before that I shoot about .5-6 mg a day. I did my first shot of the OC, (20 mg) which I felt, though it wasn't terribly strong, I just shot the other 20 mg, and now I'm where I want to be.

My question is this. I know that everyone's reaction to opiates on top of subs is different, but here me out. I have the Opana 10 mg IR's. I've heard that these are very potent pills, some even say 10x more potent then OC. I plan on cutting them into quarters and doing 2.5 mg shots. Note, I am also taking a break from my suboxone, so I will just be using these for the next day or so. That being said the suboxone will continue to diminish from my system, so I'm imagining that while I may have needed 20 mg of OC today to feel a shot, tomorow, I might only need 15.. I'm sorry, it's hard for me to articulate this. Basically, would 2.5 mg of opana be safe as a start off shot for me since I have now not taken my suboxone in over 24 hours?
 
2.5 sounds reasonable. orally it is twice as strong as oxycodone but IV i think you're right that its somwhere around 10x.. so 2.5 would be 25mg OC which is a safe enough dose, thats if this is figured out right, but i think 2.5 would be fine. blame me if you OD lol no im kidding you shouldnt OD from that.

im looking to get as high as possible.
i use codeine daily but otherwise no tolerance to any 'real' opiates.
should i maybe put two of them under my tongue at once?
or would snorting make the come-on stronger? the pills are filled with basic powder right?

I would snort it. As for what is in the powder, I'm not sure, but you can definately look that up on line. Snorting will make the come on stronger, the BA for oral is 10%, sublingual 30%, and I.V- 99-100%.

if you only use codeine, even daily, I can gaurantee that you will get sky high off the buprenorphine.

I shot the 2.5 mg opana, still here, feeling GREAT!
 
What the fuck is all this about 24mg being too much?

Anywhere up to 24mg was too little for me, couldn't feel shit.

Thankfully, now I've found the correct dose.


Oh & BTW, does IVing Sub make it go darty ways?
 
Got a couple questions I would like to ask. My cousins wife has been on sub for about 2 years. For the past six months her dose has been between 4 to 6 mg's daily. She has gotten to the point where she is totally disgusted with having to be dependant on this drug and wants off of it. She is on vacation in Florida, with her husband and two children, and she purposefully ran out of her suboxone 4 days ago as she decided she was tired of the whole process. So far she has experienced a few shitty days, and last might had rls really bad alomg with chest pains and a speeding heart. I talked with her this morning and she said today has not been bad, and just got off the phone 15 minutes ago and she is still having a good day. Now she is only 4 days off and it was a 6 mg a day dose she was taking. My question is;

*what should she expect in way of continued wd's?

*I suggested immodium to use if it got really bad, outside of finding an emergency room or walk in clinic if it gets really, really bad. Will the immodium help with sub wd's as people claim it has with other opiate wd's?

For my part, I tried to convince her to work down to under a 1 mg dose every other day before jumping off, but to no avail.
Anyway, any info I can pass along would be appreciated!
 
day4 without suboxone the withdrawal would be just starting unless youre on a dose lower than 2mg.

he znegative thats awesome u got some opana ive been wanting to get some lately. do u just add cold water and mix with the ir's? i read where u said you took a big old shot cause u were comin down off some caine and are worried it messed with your tolerance. it obviously hasnt if ur feelin good off 40mg oxy. if i did some coco im sure i would convince myself to do a big bupe shot as soon as i ran out. every now and then i fuck up and do a 1.5mger even tho i know its pointless. did the shot feel any differently? also u shuld taper while u have the chance with the full agonists that way u can get back on sub with a tiny tolerance and be able to get more effects.

does bupe raise the tolerance really so bad?

With no tolerance, I would start w/ 2mg snorted and see where that puts you. I would wait at least a hour before doing more. I find even when snorted, my subs take about 45mn-1hr to "kick in". After that point, do a little at a time.

I have never heard of .2mg pills. Makes no sense. They are more than likely 2mg. Use the pill ID at drugs.com to verify.

Since you use codiene, yes, bupe will raise your tolerance (w/ continual usage).
