I am a nooby and need to be adopted keep making mistakes but anyhow just read the description of buprenorphine=soboxone by who ? leftwing ? yet posted by phrozen ? anyhow just a few things to mention its was said you can shoot soboxone I dont agree that statement may get someone into quick withdrawal you can shoot the subutex=generic buprenorphine and it will work but if one shoots the soboxone it has naloxone in it an opiate blocker if one shoots it as I have nothing will happen the blocker goes to work. I had doctor switch me from soboxone to generic subutex=bupranophine. The soboxone is very expensive, the subutex is less and the generic is even less still though an expensive pill. And one more thing it was explained in the above said but I think some here may not understand the technical ex of it.When he said affinity this means that the buprenorphine just plain no blocker WILL STILL ACT LIKE A BLOCKER to opiates it can be confusing please no one shoot or take in any way soboxone or subutex or buprenorphine if you are an addict to opiates and you have taken and opiate. you must wait I from experience say a minimum of 14 hours I have taken it at 12 hours after but that is cutting it close. You take it to soon and you will feel worse. I take just one 8 milligram buprenorphine each day, under toung works fine its a pain to put it in spoon the pill does disolve but you need a lot of water and so a 3 cc rig just let it sit in your mouth as long as you can and it works ok dont swallow them !

Holy run on sentence batman. Learn to use paragraphs man that is horrible to read.

Also you can shoot suboxone and it will have almost an identical effect to subutex, the naloxone is 100% outcompeted by the burprenorphine. The only reason they added it is so they can get a new patent and charge you lots of money for it.

The rest of the info you tried to explain is all in the FAQ, give it a read (I say tried because it is impossible to understand)

The reason you felt nothing was because of your high opiate tolerance.

There is no such thing as "precipitated WD" from shooting Suboxone from naloxone. Buprenorphine overpowers naloxone and other opiates.

Subutex and Suboxone can be IV'd to the same effect.

I just thought I'd say this...:

I HATE SUBOXONE. :!

k, bai now.

why?

How much per day are you taking?

Yea god damn me too I hate walking around sedated like this and dependent on a drug but I'm gonna quit Friday. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Start tapering now.

Don't just "quit" it. That's not the easiest way to get away from it for good.

If you're that "sedated" you're probably taking too much.

You're right about the sedation -- it's cause I keep fucking up. It's real hard for me to sleep on days I don't take it so usually I take it at night, and then instead of just taking a little bit I take enough to get high. Which is stupid, I know, because I'm just going back to sleep but the addict side of me has been in control often as of late.

So basically, insomnia has been fucking with me and I have been reluctant to take the clonazepam and alprazolam I have because of its negative impact on my memory.

Going into my clinic today, what shall I choose. Subutex or Suboxone? Opinions?

Also can someone tell the name of a short lasting opiate I can ask to be prescribed to take in the gap between methadone and subutex/oxone?

Subutex, definitely. Suboxone tastes fucking horrible.

Am I the only one in here who feels Buprenorphine is rather stimulant as opposed to sedating (as reported above)? It's odd how different people react to the same drugs, actually one of the things which made me lower my Sub dose was precisely "over-stimulation". I'm not referring to the effects produced by a typical stimulant such as coke ,but still I think some of you may just happen to know exactly what i mean by that.

Have you tried antihistamines, like diphenhydramine hcl, doxylamine succinate, or hydroxyzine hcl?

Yeah, I notice the "stimulation" too. I am an H user, who using Suboxone when money gets tight, or I need to take a break for some other reason. If I take Sub SL, I don't notice the stimulating effect, but if I inject it, it definitely gives me a rush of energy. Weird stuff, suboxone.

Subutex. The only reason I say that is because some people (it's very rare) have a sensitivity to naloxone.

Plus it isn't going to taste as bad as Suboxone.

However, Subutex and Suboxone are, essentially, the same thing. There are very few people who are going to be sensitive to naloxone though.

You can ask to be put on codeine, hydrocodone, morphine, or something of that nature.

I know what you mean.

I find Suboxone slightly stimulating, yes.

by gap, do you mean periods of 24 hour or greater where you allow the buprenorphine to no longer bind to your receptors? Or do you mean during the same day that you take suboxone/subutex? Such as taking suboxone in the morning and taking oxycodone later in the day. It doesn't work that way....you have to wait usually at least 24 hours until it is out of your system. And why would they give you another pain medication along with buprenorphine? Isn't the reason to be on it to help with your opiate dependance? I don't see them giving you other opioids with subxone/subutex

I don't think you read their post very well.

They're on methadone. They're going to need to wait a long time before getting on buprenorphine.

A short acting opiate in between the two is the right move.

Nah man.
A lot of Sub users me included feels the stimulating feeling of Bupe.
Though i think Suboxone is slightly more sedating than Subutex. I don't know if its the difference in binders or the Naloxone that would act funny.
But also in this matter a lot of people ive talked to agrees that Suboxone is slightly more sedating. (Atleast when comparing Suboxone / Subutex -IV)

Does anyone know if the drugs I listed (Subs, Lyrica, Gabapentin, Advil PM) are synergistic in any way?

If I take any one on its own, I'm fine. When I take all four, I'm crazy stupid fucked up. I can't walk straight, I get intense euphoria, I even hallucinate a little bit.
