Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ and Megathread v.1; 2007 - 2010

I am afraid subutex won't hold me.

The genius I am I thought I would switch from oxycontin to morphine and now have ended up taking both and it has made me sloppy messed up and raised my tolerance THROUGH THE ROOF.

I have got to get my tolerance down. Going to Dr. today to get help.

I may give all my medicine to relative and just have them give me 200mg of Morphine orally a day - which will bring on unimaginable withdrawals, can you believe that? Going to 200mg Morphine will bring horrible withdrawals??? It sounds awful and so unreal.

But if I can get to 200mg then maybe I can switch to this method of Suboxone in about a week.

I DON'T LIKE GETTING SLOPPY AND THAT IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED.

GOT TO COURSE CORRECT - I TOOK THE MAJOR step of telling everyone I was on pain medicine again. You would not beleive the negative reactions I got - after 10 years of sobriety - the truth is NO ONE EVER REALLY FORGIVES YOU.

Actually I have legitimate chronic pain issues and if I could get a Dr. to just hold me on 200mg Morphine a day (the Oxycontin causes too much craving, the morphine does not) I would be able to live with it.

But brothers and sisters I am about to have a very very very hard holiday.

dont suffer needlessly , and dont be ashamed by others - most people in AA are in no position to judge you - dont sweat it

get your docotor to help you .... u dont need to go through this pain - dont do that to yourself...
 
AA opinions are just that: someone's opinion. The program literature specifically states that medications and treatments are up to our doctors. Of course that never stops certain people from telling others what is right and wrong. Your sobriety is intact, as long as you are taking meds as prescribed. Having to deal with pain, and the meds prescribed for it are no one's business but your own!
 
Has anyone experienced pink-eye like reactions after snorting suboxone recreationally, it doesn't happen until about 4-6 hours after snorting. My eyes start producing that gunk at the sides where i have to wipe it every 10 and my eyes start peeling skin just a little on both sides of both eyes. It happens to me and a friend who both snort it occasionally, it practically mirrors pink eye so much so that i've been pulled over with my pinpoints and my redass eyes witht hat shit in them and the cop told me i probably should go to an eye doctor but it all disappears the next day or so(sub's halflife i suppose) It really sucks because subs are cheapest opiates pretty much and last longest...

edit; this happens when i do it sublingually and IV it too so it's not something about the particles getting in my eye cavity from my nose cavity...it's just worse when snorting.

^ hmm okay , i do hear its a more intense rush when u snort it ... i guess im lazy i just swallow pills - they are designed to be digested after all...
 
Suboxone is made for sublingual for a reason. I don't believe(in the US at least) there are any pills of buprenorphine indicated to be taken orally.
 
sublingual ? ahhhhh my bad.... ive only ever had bupe as a patch ... it was lame and it killed my DHC buzz i didnt like it

well if its designed for sublingual then ........

I don't know what you're shooting, but I get the 0.2's as they are the smallest pore needed for a lot of substances. 0.45 is a bigger pore, and more can get through it. Since most sites will charge you the same amount for each, get the 0.2's if you can.

It is 5 for $18 shipped. If it's not worth it I'll cancel the order and get it all from that site you linked since there is a lot of stuff I want. I think I want the sealable 20mm vials in 10 and 20ml (clear), I'm just confused about all the different kind of stoppers for them and how they work. I already ordered syringes with luer locks and I don't think I need needles for them with the plastic tips they come with for drawing up and aiming into a bottle, even though a big box of needles is cheap I just don't want to have a ton of gear lying around that someone could stumble upon which bring me to the fact that I need some type of lock box/safe.

For less than $50 you can afford a chain, two big locks, and a safe which you can now chain to something secure (not moving) in your house.

You're confused how the vials work? I would get pre-sealed ones. You just push the needle through the opening after sterilizing it and then you pull the plunger back (and keep pressure back on it - a sealed vial will be pressurized & will pull the plunger back if you don't hold it) and then just pull the needle off.

A luer lock needle tip can fit onto a luer lock syringe or on top of the micron filter connected to the luer lock syringe, but yeah you're right a luer lock needle is not needed to filter solutions at all. If you want to put it through a sealed vial then you will need to attach one, but if you put it in a media bottle like me you don't need one.

Plus if you're already IVing stuff you need a safe. You just do. Have fun buying it! I remember buying my safe.

Everyone else said it was probably a dirty hit form using old water but I think it was more likely from the cut or an OD and I'm lucky to be alive.

It could have been both according to the way you describe it. I'm glad you're still with us man. Definitely be safe with micron filters and bacteriostatic water in the future though. :)

I'm talking about the vials on the site that aren't pre-sealed and they have a selection of different kinds of tops and stoppers and each work differently... So they are effectively small media bottle and I prefer them since they are reusable and I won't need needles.

Yeah I need a safe, were do you recommend picking one up? I'm going to check the exchange hours and head down today with a bag of needles and get some gear.
 
Suboxone + Phenergan = Good or Bad Idea?

I know that Phenergan potentates opiates, but would it work well with Suboxone?
 
No. It is making me sick to my stomach and the only thing I have around to battle nausea is Phenergan. I am hesitant about taking both of them because I'm afraid the combination might make me "loopy," so to speak.

you could always just take half a phenergan if youre worried you might be too sedated. in australia we get 12.5 and 25mg tabs for these types on conveniences.

About a week ago I snorted 2-3mg of suboxone then used 2 50mg promethazine suppositories about 2 hours later and went from nicely buzzed to straight nodding/having to keep awake so it definitely works
 
Is the preparation to IV suboxone diffrent from the IV prep for any other pill? i know how bad it is to IV pils and i RARELY do it. All i have is a cotton filter how great would the risk be trying to shoot 0.5mg-0.75mg of bupe?
