Funkee, again thanks for all your helpfulness :)

Blew my 4 mg today, and it did me perfectly...actually got me a teensy bit high even, which was a treat. I'm gonna follow that schedule of yours, for surely, and hopefully it'll all work out. We'll see.

Now, here's nother question for you/you all I was hoping to get some kinda answer to, if possible:

When, if ever, can I actually get..ehh...It... up properly and follow through with the successful banging of my gurl? hahah.... Will the sub bury my libido in the same shallow pit of despair?

Seriously. When can I stop making excuses and actually have a sex drive once again (and a voracious one at that)? C'mon, someone must have some answers for me.....?

I might add that my girlfriend is NOT OK with dope, and that I have been hiding it (quite well) from her. Yea.. it's kinda low, sure. But you've all been there. It's a hellova drug.

Would appreciate any words of wisdom.

Once you start decreasing your dose your sex drive should come back stronger and stronger.

I remember when I tapered on suboxone after being on it for a while, and a period on dope before that, when I was finally under 1mg just walking around campus in wide-eyed amazement. Woulda pounced on any number of girls in a second.

Is Suboxone/subutex really going generic in July?........atleast thats what Iv heard....PS. 24hrs is more than enough time to wait to take your subs. Start off slow, dont just through two pills under your tounge. Crumble them up and put just pieces at a time.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT AFTER MY LAST DOSE TO DO A FEW BAGS? HM? TELL ME PLZ? K THX.

Until you are having moderate to severe withdrawals. You can do it anytime you want, but the longer you wait, the better the effects will be. And since you are on an unnecessarily high dose of buprenorphine, that could mean you may need to wait as long as 72 hours or more.

Knowing how long you've been on the Suboxone would help, but 72 hours is always how long I need to wait. Some report less, some report more.

But, most people who have been on buprenorphine will tell you that a planned relapse is almost never worth it. You'll end up wishing you had just stayed on your medication. My advice would be to just sell those bags to a friend, but since you aren't going to do it, just wait as long as possible.

And if you were used to doing a few bags at a time when you were using, then start out with a single bag this time. You have no idea where your tolerance is right now. And if one bag doesn't even touch you, don't do the rest right away thinking that will work - it won't. If that happens, it means you haven't waited long enough, and doing the rest will be a waste and put you in danger of accidentally overdosing.

So I have noticed that since I've been taking the suboxone I have had chronic hiccups.... I mean every single day for at least 8 or 9 hours out of the day.... anyone else have this happen or is it just a coincidence?

^nope i've def never gotten hiccups while on bupe. when i was on heroin, i would get them occasionally, usually when smoking a cig tho.

chrisinabox,

Any idea about this situation???

***When I first started taking my sub I would feel pretty good... almost a boost of energy for a good 4 hours or so but now it seems like every time I take it I get EXTREMELY lethargic... My eyes get very heavy and red and I can barely stay awake... anyone know what could be causing this??? I'm prescribed 24mg a day but I only take about 16-20.... depending on how bad I feel...

hmm not quite sure why it would have a completely different feeling like that after taking it for a while. i could understand if you were getting a boost of energy when you first started and now don't quite feel it that much.
i usually get a slight boost of energy when i dose my suboxone, and i've been on mine for over 10 months straight now.
my recommendation is maybe to decrease your dosage b/c even 16-20mg of bupe is wayyy too much for most ppl to be taking. you probably don't need more than 8mg max. most ppl find that less is more with buprenorphine. and i agree with this, taking more does nothing extra for me so there is no point and sometimes i feel more off 1mg then i would off 4mg.
what opioid were you taking prior to being on suboxone? and how much of it?

I was taking anywhere from 250-300mg of oxycodone each day for about 6 months and before that about 80-100mg of hydrocodone for 2 years... I've been on suboxone for about 13 days now.. and I knew the boost of energy would go away but I mean I feel extremely lethargic now when I take it.... My first dose in the morning is supposed to be 12mg... I take 8 but you think I should try 4mg in the morning or what???

Yeah. 4mg twice a day would be more than enough.

How bad does suboxone effect opiate tolerance?

4MG's a day, usually sometimes more sometimes less, do you think after stopping for a day and a half or two days, that my tolerance would also be quite low?

yikes. 72 hours to wait?! omg i might just fucking go cold turkey all together. oh wait. i cant. anxiety attacks arent any fun, are they. sam seems stuck. and now i'm on 4 8/2's a day. whoopie. its actually kinda nice in combination with the clonodine. i just miss going outside and what not. seems all i've been doing since i stopped is laying around eating candy for energy. i'm about to hit an n/a meeting just to FUCKING DO SOMETHING, since all my friends are shooting the fuck up or boosting stores for money.

anybody else ever get the lonelyness whilst quitting? it fucking sucks.
came up with a new term.. instead of halt, salty.
where as halt is - hungry angry lonely tired.
salty - shaky angry lonely tired and yawny. pretty accurate for opiate w/d's.
USE IT. MAKE ME FUCKING INFAMOUS.

So I changed my dose... prescribed (24mg a day) I have now cut it down to 16mg and yet I still start feeling lethargic about 2 - 3 hours after my first dose(4mg) in the mornings... I called my dr and he said it was most likely due to the fact that I'm not getting a full 8 hours of sleep every night... but I just really don't think that's what's causing it... so once again has ANYONE experienced this... I mean I get VERY tired, eyes very red and it's hard to stay awake... I feel GREAT after the first dose and then good again after I take my 2nd(8mg) dose and my last(4mg) dose in the evening... Am I still taking WAY too much and if so how should I go about cutting it down even more because I would think if I keep juggling my dose around it's going to make it worse... ANY information or advice would be GREATLY appreciated guys...

** I do want to state that even with this adverse side effect this drug has still completely changed my life for the better... it's so great having money left over after payday.. hah

I get hiccups from taking suboxone, but they are THE WORST if I do suboxone sublingually (part of the reason I hate that ROA, that and the puking).

It's also normal to feel lethargic from a dose of suboxone. People who aren't tolerant to opiates who do buprenorphine, they typically get really nodded out like a dose of heroin would do for them. It's not quite the same, though.

If you get really lethargic, I'd suggest try splitting your dose in half. I get the most energy out of low doses of suboxone. Plus, at 16mg/day, that's still a relatively high dose. I never exceeded 8mg/day, and I am at 2mg/day now. I have only had 1mg and feel plenty high.

4MG's a day, usually sometimes more sometimes less, do you think after stopping for a day and a half or two days, that my tolerance would also be quite low?

It'll probably be around the same area, if not higher. I've known people who found their tolerances were higher because they were taking too much suboxone.

It might be lower for you, because individual differences between people can vary greatly.
