We don't allow pill IDs here... you know that. ;)

Anyway, suboxone/subutex are not available as a generics yet (at least in the US, but it most likely is elsewhere), and that pill is neither suboxone nor is it subutex.

yes in france we had 2 brands of generics , arrow and merck , tiny pills no flavoring

i think canada has generics too but not sure

Hey everyone, just had a few questions for anyone taking suboxone DAILY.

I was on it daily for 14 months at one point and have been for about 6-7 weeks again (with 1 or 2 weekend breaks for dope), but I was wondering if suboxone gave anyone else these similar effects:

1) Extremely tired! Not necessarily during the day, but at night I get an overwhelming exhausted feeling and I need 8-10 hours of sleep a night. When I'm not on sub, I can make myself stay awake if need be....not the case on suboxone, I NEED to lay down.

2) Slightly nauseated feeling. I'm trying to cut down using weed, but it's hard on suboxone. I get slightly nauseated, especially in the morning and use weed to help combat the stomach pain (which I also use weed for when not on suboxone).

Just wondering if those 2 happened to anyone else? I find both to be really annoying and it's one of the reasons I got off in the first place....can't wait to taper off again!

I get sligth nausea from taking it too , as soon as it starts melting under my tongue , never puked though , try taking an antihistamine or a bit of ginger beforehand

as for the night thing it think that´s normal

It's normal for people taking suboxone or normal in general? The tired feeling I get is a lot different when I'm on suboxone. I feel almost dizzy and can't think about anything except laying down. When I do lie down, the bed or whatever else feels so comfortable that I can be sound asleep in minutes.

It's a lot different when I'm not on sub.

BTW, thanks for the quick reply. :)

i've heard other people on suboxone say the same thing, it's not like you feel over-tired in the day but to sleep earlier & sometimes have trouble waking up on time. shit it took me about 6-8 months to adjust & wake up on time when i started on em, sure got me in trouble at work...

i rarely need my trazodone anymore now, i've been taking that stuff 1-3x a week for ~8 years before i started on the subs. now i only need them if it's been a really high-anxiety day.

You IV heroin ?! :D

that is pure of shit too :P
I used to. Past tense. Which is why I could never give anyone shit for it. Especially since black tar is dirtier than the mule's ass its smuggled in.

No, quite the opposite for me actually. I cant sleep. I dont go to bed till 6 or 8 in the morning, and wake up around noon or 1pm. I find suboxone to be very stimulating. Most of the time, I like that aspect of it, but when it comes to going to sleep, I dont.

No, dont get that either. In fact, suboxone almost cures my nausea. I cant eat or drink or even get out of bed until I take my morning dose. I have no idea why that would be happening to you. Possibly your dose of suboxone is too high? I doubt that, though.

I just realized I probably didnt help you AT ALL with this post. Im sorry.

Out of curiousity, how long have you been taking it? The first 1.5-2 months I was prescribed it, I found it stimulating like that. I'd be wide awake in the middle of the night looking for small tasks to do.

Then it switched and started making me wicked tired. Similar to what ellua wrote in regards to sleeping earlier and having trouble waking up.

I can't think of any ways to avoid it, aside from quitting suboxone, which I'm most likely going to do. Until then I guess I'll just have to get twice as much sleep to function normally. :\

I'll give them a shot now:

1. I take bupe and benzos and God knows what else, so yeah, I get tired. I'm tired during most of the day, I crash hard in the afternoon (~3-4pm or so), then I wake up tired, and remain tired until I go to sleep tired. Then I wake up tired. For example, I slept for 9.5 hours last night and woke up tired. It sucks.

2. I get a little nauseous, a very, very little little bit, mostly right after I take it, but I usually don't even notice. I noticed slightly when I read your post about it, but it will go away as soon as I stop thinking about it.

Also, I've been taking it for 12 months, 4mg/day.

14 months. Its just as stimulating for me now as it was last June when I started.

Do you drink coffee or anything with caffeine? If you do, does it help at all? If not, have you considered it?

And in fact, I just noticed that I was actually a little nauseas after taking my morning dose about a half hour ago. It seemed familiar too, so maybe it does happen everyday and Ive just gotten used to it. Or, its so minor I dont even notice.

Could someone show me what a Micron Filter looks like? I'm not shooting and don't plan on it but i am curious what they look like. I did a Google search and all the filters that came up were these enormous looking filters and i know those aren't the one's people us for shooting.

I know this isn't the exact thread to ask this in but since you all were talking about the filters i thought I'd ask with this persons reply.

Thanks everyone.

Also... how would you compare the feelings of Methadone and Bupe? I've had Suboxone before and to me they feel like i took to much cold medicine and i felt like my heart is going to explode. I was just wondering how Methadone feels compared to that. Someone once told me 'done feels a lot more sedating, is this true?

I double or even triple filter if it seems even a bit cloudy.

Methadone doesn't compare to Buprenorphine , except mayve for the fact that they both have a very long half-life . Methadone is a full mu agonist and it's actually my favorite opiate to take orally , very euphoric and quite sedating as you mentioned , it has th warmth of morphine but it's not quite the same more euphoric less stoned i guess.

Sixpartseven and bingeboy thanks for the replies, i appreciate it.

The reason i ask is because if i ever did decide to quit my pills/pods I'd proably have to go the 'done route because the side effects from subs were just t much for me. I'm not talking about pw's, I've experienced pw's before so i know the difference, I'm talking about just the regular side effects, they were to much for me even on low doses.

But, if i went the 'done route it would be a pain in the arse because I'd have to go every morning to get my dose. I am not a morning person. But, there is a clinic a few blocks from me so thats cool. So I'd either do a slow taper of my of my doc, pods or I'd go on Methadone.

Thanks again

I wouldnt rule suboxone out just yet. What dose were you one when you had then nasty side effects? If it was a high dose (above 8mg), then that is a pretty common reaction.

I say it all the time, but its worth saying again: people tend to think they need A LOT more suboxone than they really do. The phrase "less is more" has never been more true than when its applied to suboxone. For instance, 14 months ago I was doing close to two grams of IV heroin a day. I was fine with around 6mg of suboxone.

When you get in doses above 8mg, the antagonistic (bad) effects are more pronounced. Below 8mg, the agonistic (good) effects are more pronounced. So, if you decide to quit your DOC and give suboxone another shot, start at around 4mg or 6mg. I am willing to bet you will have a much better experience that way.

Methadone can be a HUGE burden. In my own opinion, there is no reason to go on methadone if you have suboxone available (except for some unseen circumstance where suboxone just does not work, which is rare.) Really, with methadone, you are basically trading in a bad addiction for a much worse addiction. There are very few cases of successful attempts at using methadone to detox. 9 times out of 10, youre stuck with methadone either for the rest of your life, or until you relapse back to your DOC. Its much easier to get off of suboxone than it is methadone, mainly because of methadonse mu receptor agonism.

i have a question. i take 16mgs of suboxone a day and have been doing so for over a year. I havnt taken it in 48 hours, now i have 4 15mg oxycodones, so 60mgs.

worth taking or no?

probably not. i take 16mg daily also and waited 2.5 days, took 160mg, and got nothing but drowsy. if you can wait another day or day & a half at least maybe there's some hope, but don't give in just yet.
