^my sub doctor dispenses me valium like theres no tomorrow sometime with tramadol on top of that. mind you he's seen my mri's and x-rays and i have a good doctor/patient relationship with him.
johanneschimpo said:suboxone + another opiate after does, what the naloxone does (nothing), and what will and will not make you WD.
Natural said:I just started suboxone today, my doctor made me go 24 hours without any opiates which threw me into horrible withdrawls.
taitpeter said:i just got on suboxone and during a meeting with the psychiatrist said the ceiling effect of bupe is 8mg
obviously this is not true, many bluelighters of us know our bupe chemistry and know this is just a stupid statement
what should i do?
i went red in the face trying to prove to him he was wrong but he just hasn't had it
what should/can i do?!?!
this is horrrrrrrrrible
finally on bupe and getting off opioids for good and the doc is nuuuuuuuuuts![]()
right on, agreeeeeedjohanneschimpo said:I don't give a shit what my doctor says, thats for sure. He's wrong about quite a bit, for exapmple, last visit he said: "tramadol has no opioid effects" to which I just said "oh, interesting." Why bother arguing with him? I stay on his good side so I know I can count him whenever I need anything. He can say all the stupid shit he wants; I know what and what not to believe.
right on, agreeeeeedsonic said:Oh, if you don't even need more than 8mg per day, then arguing with your doctor is silly. Try your hardest to get on your doctor's good side. Arguing over technicalities isn't the best idea.
sixpartseven said:Who cares if he thinks that if its not affecting you negatively? Is it affecting you negatively? If it is, find a new doctor.
What dose did he prescribe you? What was your tolerance before going on suboxone?
You wont even need more than 8mg a day anyways, so its not that big of a deal. Trying to convince him he's wrong is a waste of time. Doctors are stubborn about stuff like that.
