Is it better to let the 10mg methadone pills dissolve under the tongue than swallow them?
Roughly 34% of Methadone was absorbed sublingually into the bloodstream over a 10 minute period.

From my understanding (I was previously a pharmacy student) what this indicates is that you WILL experience a faster onset of effects sublingually. Unfortunately the test does not specify what percent was absorbed at intervals during the time frame, merely that 34% was absorbed at the end of the ten minutes. The other 66% is not lost, it is merely absorbed later once the dose has been swallowed.
Summary: Yes, sub lingual administration will cause a faster onset of the methadone. The fast onset dose will not be very strong (it may not be enough to achieve the desired high quickly); however, once the pill is absorbed in the stomach you will still achieve the full effect of the medication. I would recommend sublingual administration, there seems to be no downside unless you are bothered by the taste.
the wafers (the ones that dissolve easily) are actually supposed to go in a cup of water I believe, rather than sublingual, I cant imagine the taste being worth the slight difference in effect.
ive never even seen the wafers....../
lol how big?
i didnt mean to add the / but since ive been quoted already i wont edit....
