Started on Subs 2 days ago. Started with 8mg, then down to 6mg the past two days. I have tried the Sub taper several times in the past and at that point in time actually had a lower opiate tolerance than I did when I started this round.
The effects the previous times were similar to everyone's experience with subs for maintenance and/or taper. An energetic, slightly noddy, pain reliving feeling at the first dose, then not much of anything from any of the following doses.
Well, my experience this time has been different and I'm trying to figure out why. With every dose the past 3 days I've had major nods, slight euphoria, general well-being sense, etc. And the high is at least 5x stronger than the first time I tried Sub therapy. I've also noticed that every time I eat, it kicks in even harder with a nod that almost too much to keep moving around.....the "have to close one eye to type" kind of nod.
So I've poured over everything that could be different this time....and variables that have changed......and there is only one. A medication I started a few months ago called Dexilant. So I'm wondering if this is the cause. Nothing else is different and since I haven't seen this medication mentioned as a potentiator of Suboxone I thought I'd throw it out there. Although this medication treats similar problems as Cimetidine, it's not the same type of drug.
Anyway, I was curious if any of you out there with more chemistry knowledge than I could shed some light on this. Maybe it's completely a coincidence. Who knows. But I'd be interested to open it up for discussion.
