I'm looking for more compounds to add to my arsenal, and I want something trippy.
Like, I have intense visuals with 2C-P and DOC (on the way), but they are clear-headed.
I want the tripped out weirdness of high LSD and psylocibin doses, but hopefully something very visual as well.

What would your experiences be with psychedelics that put you into really strange states of mind?

Or else, something that grants aural hallucinations. Preferably true hallucinations, but anything aural I suppose.

Are you looking for RCs or what? You can't go wrong with DMT and Salvia if you're in the market for some true, balls-to-the-wall tripping. Aural hallucinations are very common on DMT if you're in a quiet place.

As for RCs, I'd recommend 4-AcO-DMT. It's like a gentle, soothing, clear-headed version of psilocybin, but not TOO clear-headed. Like, it's really trippy, but not in the pushy, relentlessly overwhelming mindfuck way that shrooms are. Prepare for some crazy times when you start getting into the 30mg+ range. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous, and I've had aural hallucinations on it as well.

There's also 5-Meo-DMT. I've never tried it, and I'm a little afraid to honestly. It sounds like one hell of a trip from what I've read, like a non-visual cross between Salvia and DMT. Most people seem to freak out on it, but it might be what you're looking for.

Also, I know it's not a full-on psychedelic, but I fucking love the headspaces that MXE brings me to. Nice CEVs sometimes and strange, nitrous-esque aural flanging effects as well.

2ce is really quality psychedelic at the 25 mgs range, 2ct7 is also another visual and euphoric phen.

Try looking into dissociatives, maybe they'd produce the state your after. A 3rd plateau DXM experience will certainly put you in a "strange state of mind." =D Dissociatives can also have some aural effects, ya'know, the cosmic machinery and all. And music can sound amazing in ways you never imagined. Not much in the way of traditional visuals, but you can have macropsia/micropsia, and ordinary objects can be completely unrecognizable and confusing (while not looking any different). Other dissociatives may be friendlier.

Definitely dissociatives, I'm completely with Never here! They are truly ineffable... Also: what is this so called 'space of the head'?

If you want "true hallucinations" I've heard datura is wicked. I haven't tried it myself, but there are plenty of tr's on erowid if you want to look into it!
Happy trails <3

Now that I think about it, I completely agree with Never Knows Best. Dissociatives sound right up your alley. They're wild and trippy and provide the single best audio trip IMO. DXM and K act more like audio enhancers from my experience, sound just kinda sucks you right in. Blast some songs and close your eyes and you can just about feel yourself becoming the music. It's incredible. K is the best thing in the world for music appreciation IMO. MXE and Nitrous tend to alter sound more than enhance it. They warp and stretch and echo whatever you're hearing in crazy ways, it's almost like psychedelic patterning for your ears.

The don't really create OEVs, just lots of blurring and stuff like that. But, the CEVs are out of this world, especially if you smoke some weed with 'em.

I do have MXE on the way, 5-MeO-DMT is illegal in the US (I want to order Anadenanthera Peregrina though), DXM is alright, but I much prefer Datura.
I've dosed Datura seven times (only six worked), and I've also done Atropa Belladonna. Deliriants are sick, and they're entheogens when used properly.

I may as well be straight up, since it's the internet and all haha.
I've got schizophrenia, I use all manners of entheogens (psychedelic, dissociative, deliriant), and it helps.
That's beside the point, so we don't need to get into an argument regarding the safety of drug use in the mentally "insane".

What I'm looking for is something that might allow me to actually communicate directly with whatever seems to be referencing me.
It's almost a direct communication, but there is no actual voice, and it can only speak through mediums in my life (tv, music, words).
I want to hear it. I've achieved it before through direct confrontation, but the mediums reacted to me very oddly, since they didn't know my condition at the time.

I'm going to do what I like regardless, so you can save your negative comments.

Oh, and headspace referred to the state of thought and perception.

^Salvia is extremely strange. i'm interested to hear your results, i've had a few psychotic breaks from using psychedelics excessively (and used psychedelics during these times as well). I never really got much insight into the whole experience other than that I had to ignore the delusions for them to go away. I'm still not convinced that what i saw/felt was not real or possible, it was like my perceptions were completely opened up and unfiltered. When i was paranoid and delusional i tried to contact/communicate with whatever was affecting me (was using 2c-i at the time), also had manifestations through tv/media in forms of secret messages. I ended up thinking that God had given me the essence of Jesus, which was exciting. I also thought i was given psychic powers by some entity. FWIW, it was one of the happier times in my life.

For the communication i recommend salvia/5-meo-dmt, not together, not at first anyway lol.

Smoke DMT, alone, naked, in your own bed with shpongle playing. 80+mg and smoke until you cant.

Its very much like a gun in that it is very much possible to point it in a direction before firing. Go into it seeking guidance from elves and see what happens, think about why your about to smoke DMT before you do it and it will usually launch your consciousness in that general direction into another dimension....

It is very much one that can and will slap you in the face if you treat it like a toy,

But I seriously have been rocked by something that seemed profoundly "greater" than myself.... Like taking a 15 minute inventory of all the things in my life that were making me unhappy and the things that were within my power to fix while basking in the warm light radiating the full spectrum of positive emotion on an unimaginable and completely unfiltered manner.... It felt very much like what I would imagine being in the presence of god would be like.

If you go into it seeking answers, it has a tendency of providing them. When your just doing it to do it, thats when you suddenly get thrown through hyperspace at what feels like 1000 miles per hour and then WHAM! and your back in your room wondering what the fuck just happened. When you don't give it a direction, it will take one all the same, where this ends up depends on the last moments before smoking.

Whatever you decide to take, add nitrous oxide to it. My personal preference is for acid + nos = gascid. Nitrous is like rocket fuel for whatever else you've taken.

Experiment with eyes closed, eyes open while you breathe the gas. Experiment with music versus no music. You can get "true" visual and auditory hallucinations once you learn how to refine your breathing technique. It takes a bit of practice but you can learn a hell of a lot while you're doing it :D

Robot, I can hardly ever break through on salvia.. I tried it once while I was psychotic, (in order to confront whatever it was this is), and I ended up near Ego-Loss but just being terrified and dominated (as it felt). I'll likely get some Yopo though.

Jamaica, DMT's "elves" are archetypal examples of visual hallucinations, but I don't believe in them.
In fact, I believe that the damage done to the academic psychedelic research effort by the likes of McKenna is incredible, and the reason that the substances were made illegal in the first place. Crackpot research isn't beneficial to the cause; I want to explore another subject entirely, schizophrenia.
With that in mind, I may take your advice about dedication and intent. That advice is quite sound.
I like DMT a lot, and I've done it plenty, but I've never used it for this purpose. I will give it a go.

undisclosed, thanks for the tip, too. I bought a crack for my nitrous canisters though, and for four hours, my face was numb! Stupid ass tool let all the gas immediately rush into my face!! Shit hurt haha.

I think that I'm going to try the DMT, but since that will take a while to set-up, I'm going to continue looking for RCs with the same effect.

Incidentally, Robot, for a while I thought it was some sort of god communicating with me. Then I began to think that it was some sort of entity intruding on the world that is under my influence, resulting in the idea that I was defending my world. Now, it almost seems like a friend. Like, we bullshit, and it's not always there, and I don't feel so scared or anything really. Now it is just communication.
When I actually confronted it, my friends got scared, because I was freaking out in the Physical Reality, talking about nonsense; but whatever it was began to use my friends' spoken words as a medium, and I achieved direct communication. Recently, I've also heard real noises inside my head, however they have been nothing like voices. I've heard sirens, clanging, clicking, and metal being dragged, but no voice. I need to speak directly with this.

Lol - I strongly recommend getting a whip cream charger! Much reduced risk of hurting yourself (though still present).

I've started to get this on occasion when sober, like my mind is playing tricks on me? It would also include things like being certain I heard my mobile phone ring in another room, I go in there and pick it up - nothing. No missed call or anything. It's happened since I started doing gascid regularly - and I'm taking it as a sign to ease off. I can certainly communicate much more readily and easily with the "entity" that seems to be behind it whilst I'm actually on the gascid though.

It's all about balance......

Yes, I will.. Good keywords. Google time ha.

It definitely doesn't feel like my mind is tricking me.. It sounds like a legitimate noise I would hear from an external source, except it is sounding off in the middle of my temporal lobe. It can be loud, or quiet, and it happens seemingly sporadically. I'd never thought these were caused by whatever it is, I just thought they were random auditory hallucinations.. I'm not a paranoid, and it seems I am hardly self-derogatory.. I don't know.

OP, while I can appreciate your quest for the unknown and desire to understand the things that seem to have serious power in your life, I must warn you that many trippers have accidently exacerbated negative aspects of schizophrenia to the point where they are burnt out and no longer integrated in their normal waking life with the people who care about them-- friends, family, and coworkers. Remember that whatever you discover on your journey, it does not affect anything outside your head. I agree completely that the voices and lessons DO have meaning, but just please keep the meaning locked up inside your own emotions. Do not allow yourself to blur the line between rational/sober thought (that can be confirmed or disproved by others around you) and emotional/tripping thoughts (which cannot apply to anyone else but yourself, and can be very useful in discovering hidden secrets about your own past or future).

Good luck and stay strong in this endeavor.

That said, I don't think I ever got really strong aural hallucinations from any 2c-x, while on the other hand Mushrooms definitely increases the "in-tune with some cosmic radio" feeling. But the only things i've heard on that radio are like you've described-- metallic dragging, clanging, scraping type sounds. Which leads me to assume it's just a crossed-wire type of synaesthesia that makes my brain think i'm hearing something that's probably as simple as my own pulse.

I'm going to throw another vote on MXE for strangest headspace-- at low doses it gives a relaxing drunk feeling, and at higher doses it's full on space-out. I'd suggest you start at 20mg and remember that it changes character halfway through the experience (so don't redose on your first time!). Beware that it can increase mania to the point where one might consider oneself a god-- so be careful.

strange headspace? real hallucinations?
ever tried zolpidem? ever tried mixing zolpidem with weed and n2o? very regrettable though. (once it made me dumb enough to smoke dmt on top. hell.)

I was surprised that it hadn't been said yet, but Peyote has a weird ass headspace. Very different from mescaline and other mescaline containing cacti. It has so many alkaloids that it's even hard to tell where it's coming from! :D

Of course, all necessary mental precautions are being taken care of, and I do not intend to initiate a psychosis.

Still, good to see all the feedback for MXE.

Orphic, I was actually thinking of mescaline after reading about a few instances of apparent telepathy and the likes.
If I could find peyote, that would be awesome, but it's not super likely haha.
