Sort of unrelated, but i signed up for Tinder once, not too long ago, with zero intention of using it for anything but simply out of curiosity about the type of women that use it and etc, who would "select me" etc. I only had it for a few days, then deleted the account since I have a girlfriend and don't want someone she knows seeing me on it. I did tell my girlfriend I made the Tinder account, albeit after the fact.

In anycase, what i found odd is that it mixed in some transwomen into the group of regular women. I had a couple trans women swipe right on my profile.

I see nothing wrong with trans people, but I feel like it's a little presuming and perhaps even dangerous to assume a new male user is interested in meeting a transwoman. Some of the transwomen that swiped right on me looked like actual women. One in particular, based on their profile photo at least, was at first glance prettier than alot of the women who swiped right on me. While looking at their profiles you do see them say they are trans.

But how if I was some hick in a new town, went on tinder drunk and stoned, and in a hurry agreed to meet their trans match while somehow not registering that the person was trans (or perhaps thought that the person mentioned it as a joke etc, particularly since the person looked so feminine)? Couldn't this put the transwoman at risk of violence, etc? Maybe I set up my profile too quickly, but I don't recall it asking me if I was open to meeting transwoman. They were just lumped in with all the other women.

Just seems like it could lead to a potentially dangerous misunderstanding when matched with some drunk hick. Again maybe i rushed through the setup but it seemed like transwomen were mixed in by default. I personally would not be interested in dating a transwoman, but if matched with one and ended up meeting them without knowing, I would be very kind and polite about it, but I imagine there are men who through a mixture of homophobia, intoxication and perhaps even blueballs (if it somehow got to the foreplay stage) could react unpredictably. In any case, I was surprised and felt that it might be putting a vulnerable population at risk.

Anyway, just thought it was a little concerning that the default was female mixed with transfemales. I guess you have to go to some setting to adjust that. But there are alot of stupid dudes out there, and with stupidity often comes intolerance.

I'm autistic. I can't sometimes tell if people are being serious or are joking because I tend to take statements literally.

Normally i try a emoticon to show it a joke.

But as in the beginning i assumed i was in the Lounge.
Was where it went somewhat offtrack, i apolegized.
as i also never know for sure if the people are ok with,
or insulted or personaly hurt. While thats not something i aimed for.

Then again it hard to insult someone thats standing strong with both feet on the ground.
