I understand that, or at least I hope he wasn't. I just assumed that he was being sarcastic about a general idea which isn't necessarily a bad one. A more practical and civil approach to what he's talking about isn't exactly a new idea: the idea of wresting influence away from the "idiots", of phasing them out politically so that their opinions don't have the power to affect the national and international policies of the world.
If that's what he was talking about, my question still stands. Who can rightfully decide whose opinion counts? You'd think that out of 6 billion people, at least one of them would be capable of making decisions for the betterment of mankind.
