Starscape 2001, June 9th, Baltimore, MD

Well since we dont all know what the venue is going to exaclty be set up like lets just meet at the peir at 12.By then if you couldnt make the pre meet up party or the meet up outside the venue at 10 then you can meet up with us there.
Drizz when you go to the park next weekend make sure to find some kind of landmark we can use as a meet up place before we all go into the party.

wow... i dont go on BL for a couple days and the thread is already up to 3 pages! LOL
well, like i told honEbee... i am more than happy to book the rooms, the only problem is as of right now, i dont know if I myself CAN stay in a hotel... i might have to drive back to PA right after the party just so i can make it to work. that's what i was waiting to find out. cuz if i dont stay there, i can't book the rooms for you guys. i will know definitely by THIS SUNDAY.
i think we will go with the Hampton.
i dont know what my limit is on how many rooms i can get. i will do my best. you guys would not have to pay me up front... i can take care of the cost and then whoever wants to stay can pay me at the hotel.
the only problem i have to let you know about is this: a lot of you are planning on staying for more than one day. if i DO stay after the party, it will only be for one night. i HAVE to be at work the next day or i'm gonna lose my job. so that might be a problem for some of you.
i will post again as soon as i know for sure. like i said, i will know by sunday, that's when i work again and i will check my schedule and talk to my boss about booking the rooms. can someone give me an estimate as to how many rooms we will need?

hmmm...well my group *did* want to stay in the $29 rooms, but we weren't gonna get a room saturday night since we won't be at starscape the whole time, but i just thought of something...i will want to take a shower and stuff... grrrr. we were just gonna have an early check-in on sunday since we are staying till monday. blah blah blah

. this way we know that the pier is not gonna move location, lol. but if you pick somewhere else, like a tent or something...it could be different than last year.
 
Well D to tone down on some confusion looks like we should just book at the BW for all the nights we are staying. unless we book the rest of the nights at the Hampton...isn't that $$$?

hey mooch - the only reason people were gonna stay at hampton is i think because that is one of the choices for the $29 which we won't be able to do since we aren't getting a room sat night. but me and jeff figured it out: well first of all, i don't know if you knew or not, but we're going to dc friday night so we're gonna stay in a hotel around there, that we won't need to make reservations, we'll just find a cheap one up there...then sat we're goin to the barbecue and if we want to take naps and showers, we will do it at his friend's house cause we are leaving for starscape right from his house which is about 45 min to an hour. what i'm gonna do is call either best western or motel 6 and see what they can do for us for early check-in since most hotels it's not till 4pm and we will want a room in the morning after starscape. we figured we probably would be hungry or something, so we'll get a bite to eat and then hopefully be able to check in to a hotel. does all this make sense? hope it does

Well I booked a hotel room for Soulfly, Ebow, Aleeshe and myself. I can cancell without penalty till the 7th so if we find a cheeper hotel we can just cancell the reservations there. Better to at least have something now than running around at the last minute.

E-girl - If you are able to book the rooms I know I would like one for me and eternalsunrise. I wish I could speak for everyone else but I can't.
Everyone - post how many rooms you'll need Saturday if E-girl can get them and for who, so we can get an accurate count on hotel rooms at the Hampton Inn.
If this doesn't work out I'm booking at the BW.
 
Liquid69Raver, I think 12:00 at the pier is a good idea. I think that most people will defiately have arrived by then, and the pier is a pretty simple place to find.

Ok heres what we got so far.The plan as of now is to have a pre party meet up at 4:30 at the hotel we stay at.From there we go get a light dinner.Then everyone can chill together or just go on about there bussiness.At 10 we will meet up outside the park.Drizz is going to the venue next weekend to find out a good location to meet up outside the park.From there we all go in together.At 12 we will have a meet up at the peir for those who cant make it to the other 2.Then we will have one more meet up at 4:30 at the peir again so we can all chill for the last part of the party together and we can all leave for an after party together.
As far as an afterparty is concerned we can use my room if its cool with my people.I am 99% sure its cool with them but let me double check before I say its for sure.

This party is only 1 1/2 hrs from my house, so this is like a hometown party for me.

yeah... i'll be with drizz next weekend and we'll try to figure out all the details about the venue. one of us will def post the info and hopefully by then we'll have figured out where everyone is stayin and we can work out some sorta meet-up before hand. heeeheeheee - only 2 weeks to go kiddies!!!

We booked our rooms last night for the best western.Since the majority of us are staying there this will be the hotel we will meet at.Time is still gonna be 4:30.I'll give the hotel a call sometime tonight or tomorrow and find out where a near by resturant is and I will get a link with directions for everyone who is not staying at BW.
Cloud and I have kidnapped Aly and Dags.Were holding them hostage until starscape so they will be there for sure.We want 10,000 buxs and four 24 packs of whip its for there ransom.
