Drizz and myself are going to work together on seting up the meet up.He is going to check out the venue and whats close to it next weekend.As far as hotels are concerned,if we can get those other rooms it would be great.At that price we can aford to get them for 3 nights if we wanted to.Once we get the desion on the hotel straighten out then we will set up a diffent meet up time there.

Wow, too much indecisiveness and changes in plans/hotels/etc. for me to even try to make arrangements for right now. I'm gonna go ahead and reserve a room at the Best Western, however I would definately be interested in that $29 room E-girl, so if you can do that, count me in, and I'll just cancel my reservation at BW.
Liquid69Raver, the pier is inside the park. So hey, when all the plans are made, I may ask that someone meet me at the pier at a certain time.. But we'll just have to wait until we get closer to the date so that I know better what will be going on.
Oh, and honEbee, I hope you can make it.. I miss ya.

I was just reading in the old thread that you need a pick up on friday night at Dulles Airport. I live like 5 minutes away. So if you still need a ride i can pick you up on my way to get Skuby dew. Just let me know the details. (oh and...technically Dulles is considered DC, but its really about 45 minutes outside of DC in Virginia. And if you tried to take a cab from Dulles to Baltimore, which is even further out, you'd be looking at one big cab fare.)

Ok, so somebody doesn't want me posting to this freakin' thread. So I go to the NE Meetups section, looking for the Starscape thread and I find that the regions have changed. (I've been gone a awhile from BL) Then, I find the Starscape thread that drgnfly had opened and was then closed and then that it was moved to Nat'l Meetups (dumb, incidentally.. in future, I'd suggest putting a post in National with a link to the one in the appropriate region). Then I find two different threads there. Then, I find the right thread and write this nice long post and Netscape crashes. I swear.. someone's gonna get a spanking over this.

I just know that all of my favourite DC people will be at this all-day-electronic-dance-thingy and that I, too, will be there. heh. <waves down applause> (no, I'm not really full of myself-- just joking, for those who don't know me)
Anyway, I've been living in Pennsylvania for the last two months, but I guess I'm in denial 'cause I've been in DC at least 4 weekends out of those 8. I even got to see Drizz, eternal, and jungle j at Abduction two weekends ago. And hearing that a certain Ms. honEbee is gonna be there is just awesome 'cause I haven't seen girlfriend in waaay too long and I have to give her birthday hugs in person! On top of that, skuby, chriskle, Stx, and our favourite fella who wishes he lived in DC: drgnfly. Ohmigod. whee, this is gonna be fun. heh. DC kru reprazent!! hey crow - about hotels...i think a lot of us are waiting on e-girl to find out what we can do about the $29 rooms. cause i think a lot of people would really like to do that.
if not...looks like a lot of people have reserved rooms at the best western already. if it comes down to that, the jax crew may do that too. it is kinda expensive for me right now...but i can maybe pull it off.
i know this has been talked about already...but kurve had mentioned that the pier would be a good landmark spot for everyone to meet. we'll just have to pick a time.

OK, ok, let'z try to get a few things straight here..
Hotel stay: I think that most of us would love to get a hotel for $29 as opposed to $100.. So I think that it'z up to e-girl to see if she can pull the strings or not. The only problems are: a) How many rooms can she get, if she can even get them? And, how many do we need?? b) How reliable is she if she says she can get them? Not to say anything about e-girl, cuz I don't know her, but it would suck to think we all had reservations and then we arrive and find out that we don't. (I really don't know you e-girl, so this is not meant to be judgemental in any way.) c) How would we get the room? Do we need to pay e-girl up front? Are the rooms gonna be reserved individually under our names? Do we need to say we work with her?.. The sooner we know the details on this, the sooner we can go ahead and plan out thingz. I guess Best Western is our "plan b". So, what'z up e-girl? Any news?
Meet-up spot: I don't really know the area, so unfortunately I can't really help out too much on this. If you all want to have a pre-party meet up, that'z kewl, but I won't be able to make it since I'm not gonna get there until late that evening. Liquid69Raver, I know the pier is inside the park because I read it on their website (something about music on the pier I think.) That would make a good meet up spot for people who come in later, or for finding lost ravers(hehe), but I really don't know of any landmarks outside, so... Not much help, huh? (Sorry.) Stx, are you familiar with the park? If so, do you know any landmarks that would make a nice meet up spot outside the gate?
Afterparty: Hmmm... Anyone? I would love to have people come to my place and chill, but I don't know how my gf would feel about that, cuz she will more than likely pass out, so I may have to ditch her in our room to come see all you folks (I feel evil for saying that, hehehe.)
And I think that'z about it.. Afterparty is probably the least important thing, but we should really work out the details on the rest of the stuff first so that we get our evening planned out.
Ket, glad to see you could make it! It really does look like the whole DC/MD/VA/WVA Krew will be in effect for this. Grrrreat!

Hey guys, i just sent out an email to E-girl to find out what she can do for the rooms. I have a suspicion that she hasnt been on BL the last day or so. I will let you know what she says or maybe she will post the information here when she gets my message.
But she will need to know how many rooms all together. I know that at $29/night i want 1 room, for June 9th and 10th (since you cannot get into rooms until 12 or 2 pm -depending on their policies). So if the rave ends at 6 am on June 10th im gonna want a hotel/bed available right away instead of having to wait until check out.

Ok since my crew hasnt offically booked our rooms yet we can still do the cheap hotel.I am under the impression that crow and everyone else who is staying with him has already purchased there room.If this is the case were gonna stay with the best western.If they havent then we can go the other way.Crow or anyone who is staying with him let me know the deal with that.

ShaDDoW- As far as I can remember the road that leads to the park is long and basically just used for parking.
Hmmm as far as a place within the park that we could meet... Well last year when you first enter you walk a little ways and you reach the main tent which was to your right.
Behind the main tent I think there was a small slightly grassy area where a few people could sit. I don't know if anything will change from last year but you might be able to squeeze a few heads in that area (shrug). Don't know though.
There's also the place where Drgnfly and I put up his Bluelight flag last year (sucks as good as he made that sign last year, we didn't really have much of a meetup). If im not mistakin we put it on a fence that you had to pass on your way to the pier. If you walk to the pier you would pass the sign on your left side.
Not sure who else went last year, but if anyone has any other suggestions then we can go from there.
