Were getting a room fri. in d.c., wich won't be a problem. We won't be getting another one until sun. afternoon. If by some crazy chance they are still booked (wich i highly doubt) we will just drive 20 minutes down the highway and find another hotel.

Drizzew - i just called best western and had no problem booking a room. don't know why they told you it was booked.
so mooch...it's all set. even got a 10% discount cause i have AAA

. so it's gonna cost $98.10. oh about about early check-in. the only way to find out is when we go early, ask them. it'll depend on if a room is available or not. that early there most likely won't be unless it's someone on business that leaves at the crack of dawn, lol. if not, we'll just have to hang out at an afterparty for a lil bit.
 
sounds cool to me! just as long as I will eventually have a bed to sleep in. Why not just take some meth and stay up all weekend! We wouldn't even need rooms!

Lady D - Really? Did you call that same number Liquid 69 posted? They told me they had no rooms and eternalsunrise looked online after I told her that and it said no rooms were available either. They told me some other BW about 11 miles away had rooms but not the one in B-more. Shit, I guess I'll try again tomorrow. *shrugs*

Ok, a week and a half to go...here's where we're at:
Myself, Popstar, Ebow and my gf Aleesh are going to be stuck in a car for 10 hours together...(plus any hitchikers we should happen to pick up along the way)
i have a funny feeling it's going to turn into some bizarre episode of Survivor
we shall rondesvouz (sp?) with the Crow at the Best Western i guess...and figure the rest out from there
damn, a week and a half...i'm equally excited and nervous at the same time

Okay, I'm completely fuckin confused. Yesterday they said no rooms were available at the BW and I checked online today and it said no rooms were available. So I called them up just to see if I could get on their cancellation list and lo and behold they told me that there ARE rooms available for Saturday June 9th at the Best Western! I just booked a room there. I asked how many rooms were still available and she said there were still some left so if you don't have a room you better book it soon!
Earlier today when I thought the BW was booked I entered the address of the BW into Yahoo hotel search and the closest place is the Rodeway Inn Baltimore, 0.1 miles from the BW. It's maybe a bit skanky (it's located in a truck stop), but it's a lot cheaper than the BW, between $60-70. The next closest place to the BW is 2.2 miles so this is the best option I guess. I booked a room there which I will now have to cancel. Here's the info for this place if anyone else wants to book there:

no offense, it just sounds like the kinda place that charges for rooms by the hour...or in some cases, the half-hour
but at least it's good to know that if i get a bizarre craving for heroin or crack @ 6:00am...i'll only have to walk .1 miles...

Actually, the place didn't look too shady from the picture they provided. The more timid bluelighters among us need not fear that the scum of Baltimore lurk a mere .1 miles from where they'll try to sleep.
