Man how uncreative can you get with that YM/yankees logo. shit is lame. anyways why do that unless you a yankees dickrider. I really hate that shit, likin the yankees is like rootin for the 500 lb guy whose fightin a 50 lb midget. I aint got NO love for the yankees, and why the fuck wayne does when he all about his dirty south "im from hollygrove" etc shit. He just reps watever popular at the moment, dudes mad inconsistent everything about him.
I aint gonna lie, some of his older shit from years back sounds good, and certain of his songs Ill listen to if they come on the radio just cuz of shit it reminds me of (like lollipop....terrible song but it bring back mad memories of the summer that I just started beauty school and was drivin down the ave to cop dope in paterson on my lunch breaks, hangin out all summer long in the streets and just mad good times). so, some of his SONGS i enjoy (and thats a very small SOME) but wayne as a person, I got no love yo.
Im done talkin bout lil wayne tho, i aint tryna go all off topic. So ill say that in general, I dont like seein yankees fitteds n shit on anybody who aint from new york cuz its like how hard is it to be a fan and rep for the team that always wins? Like i said before.
For NY heads, it dont bother me AS much but it still kinda does cuz its like I understand you just reppin NY but you could always rock a Mets hat instead. to me, the mets are WAY more NY than the yankees ever been or ever will be. The Mets is like real new york, and the Yankees is like the fake, pre-packaged mass-produced new york that they sell to out of state people. if that make sense. The difference between a real diner built in the 30s and those shitty, brand new just built "Diner" chain restauants that pretent to be all 'retro' and shit.
And it aint like everytime I see a yankees hat on somebody I think of all this shit in my head or nothin, LOL. Im just sayin, that when I really think about the shit thats my opinion on it. when it comes to baseball, if i gotta choose a team itll always be the Mets regardless they win or lose, the folks who rock yankees shit just seem like 'fair weather friends' you feel me. I feel like its actually better to just choose a random ass team cuz the colors matches your clothes and your sneakers, than to wear a yankees hat, esp if you aint a fan, cuz its like "oh, well, they the ones who always win, everybody likes them so Ill just pick them cuz I gotta choose SOME team to be on my fitted, might as well pick the most popular one."

I don't really wear fitted hats much I use to have a mets one and Yankees one but that only really because I needed a hat, it looked nice and I live 2 minutes outside of NYC so i figured why the fuck not? I mean I wasn't trying to represent NY or anything like that, but i figured since it was the closest city with a nice hat might as well. Regardless, i don't really wear atheltic/sports clothing but when I, in the past, have it usually had something to do with comfort and style and not the team. So, i'm on the same page as you Bricks N Stacks

got my game day jerseys and hats.. beanies ..jackets.. hardcore fan tho ..
but when i was younger i would wear alotta UNC shit for the colors mostly i did like the team somewhat
when i was in middle school and starter jackets was the shit id have certain teams that colors just stood out
also alotta the sports shit now a days is alotta gang affiliated shit going on
they will use red colors for bloods and blood for crips ..duh ..but even certain jerseys with numbers
can be for a certain gang... say like ms 13 will where a number 13 jersey of there colors..

FP, in the case of Brady Quinn's sister... that's acceptable (in my mind) because Ohio State and Notre Dame aren't rivals. Had Brady Quinn attended Michigan... then I'd say "tough titties, you gotta choose one or the other. Who means more to you, your brother or your future husband?" She's the exception to the rule, generally speaking, though. However, in a rivalry... there are no exceptions.
That aside, it may (again) be my way too serial passion for sports, but I just don't get the "I have two favorite teams" argument. I have one favorite team in every sport. There are other teams I enjoy watching, but in each sport it's one team far above every team below them. If I moved to NYC... I'd still be an Indians fan, but you bet your ass I'd take in some Mets games. Though no team will ever eclipse my childhood fandom. Which is why it's weird and unsettling for me to see so many people flaunting their false allegiances to teams they have no interest in. ESPECIALLY... when they claim to be a fan of a team while wearing another teams' hat. I manage to rep Cleveland pretty hard with what I consider to be some hella sweet swag. :D
Couldn't have said it better myself. Part of why I love seeing Cleveland hats and shirts when I'm on the road is that no matter how far I am from home... I know there's someone who I can have a casual conversation with. It's comforting.
EDIT: Oh... I forgot to comment on the necklace, FP! Thanks for the clarification! That's probably what it was, I never thought to check because in passing it ABSOLUTELY looked identical to the NY. That being said... if I were Lil' Wayne and I really was a die hard BoSox fan... you wouldn't catch me dead wearing that Young Money necklace simply because it LOOKS like the Yankees logo.
oh and when it comes to rivals thats a whole nother demon haha being a fan in the SEC that shit can get real ...im sported my LSU and SAINTS shit when both my teams was garbage... and now it finally paid off i remember when saints fans wore bags on there faces..and people would say saints wont win the super bowl until hell freezes over... and LSU been sorry most of my life.. but we ended up being the first college football team to win 2 nation championships in the bcs era...so it feels good finally
