It has some weird loophole. No major chain carries it. Mom and Pop, pharmacies in some states might have it still. But the amounts are small, if they sell it too you.

It used to be very widely available BITD, but has become all but unavailable these days sadly :\

The really good one was Gee’s Linctus. Also sold as a cough syrup but contained actual opium tincture as the active. That shit was incredible …sadly long gone now :!

Tincture of Opium. That is a really old school med. I haven't heard that name in a long time.( read about it, but never even seen it ).

Yeah, Gee’s was a very oldskool linctus. I just caught the tail end of its availability in the 90s. Even then it took some pharmacist-charming to actually get them to sell it to you.

I used to go through multiple bottles a day due to cycling pharmacies, sending in random people I could convince to go in on my behalf, dumb luck and so on.

Shit was insanely euphoric and energetic. Wish it were still available :!

In America 4 states( Florida, Iowa, North Carolina and Oklahoma; can dispense small amounts of codiene cough syrup, OTC. Check if you care.

It is or was( as of July 2022, not sure now) available; however pharmacists, discretion and small amounts. This looked. Nevermind YES. But, small amounts a few states and at their discretion.

Are you around 80 y.o. and a regular customer for decades at some mom and pop pharmacy? lol

Codiene linctus, was or might be what you mean.


Weird laws, here. But, this is not some great discovery. No, chain stores will sell it.
 
@Jnowhere yes tincture of opium. I obtained a fat bottle once upon a time and a few gulps I KNEW it was the real deal. Then to try to save it I started chasing dragon & tasted as good if not better than oxycodone/oxymorphone. Although not as euphoric but very chill and a great taste.

Reminds me of good weed plus the taste of great hash mixed together, its just different. (I think I love hash because I've always wanted real opium to mix with my marijuana..) but yeah. Lol

I remember trying paregoric long ago. Opium in alcohol with an anise flavor. It was pretty good. I'm not sure you can get it anymore...well, let me take that back. I see Amazon sells "paregorico" ( Spanish) which seems to be old school paregoric minus the opium 🙄

I am pretty old (was 50 a couple days back) and Gee’s was oldskool even in my youth. Very much certain the active was opium tincture. Codeine linctus is still legal - as is Gee’s - but good luck finding a pharmacist who’ll sell it you :\
