Sometimes, it is okay to narc

That's complete bullshit. Dealers who steal people's money and rip them off by knowingly selling them fake shit should be regarded as the grimy lowlifes that they are.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

It dont take much to learn from your mistakes.

Ever heard of "dont sink to your enemies level"?

I'd have no problem just rattling off a list of complete cunts to the police, none of which would be dealers, especially not any good coke dealers, and especial-fucking-ly no fine pharmaceutical dealers. My friends bro did this and the police realized what he did and got quite mad at him after wasting tons of resoures trying to bust non-existant drug dealers, I do think it would be pretty funny to just fuck with a few cunts, I'd just say "so and so sells meth to kids" or "so and so sells crack" and the police would be fucking with em all day.

Yes, but my attitude towards these people is the same as most of your guys' attitude towards narcs. I'd love nothing more than to kick their fucking teeth in. Still, I can't see myself going out of my way to rat on any of them, or anyone, ever.

If I was being questioned for something serious though, I doubt I'd take a longer prison sentence to protect one of those grimy bastards.

Good post chemicalEactive.

Lacey: I agree with what you're saying, but not how you are putting it across, you havent broken any rules

Ha! okay....

All your arguements are hot, steaming, ignorant bullshit.

did your mama never teach you to MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS?

If that isn't a clear violation of Bluelight guidelines, then I don't know what is. Can I start challenging your status as a moderator, make condescending comments, make personal comments against you, and use insults via expletives? Is that okay? And I don't see where Psychubus violated any guidelines. I don't see any edits on either Psychubus's or Lacey k's posts.

Anyways KemicalBurn - thank you for the time and effort. I truly appreciate it.

Good post 121.

I don't know if this is funny or terribly wrong...

If I was being questioned for something serious though, I doubt I'd take a longer prison sentence to protect one of those grimy bastards.

A truth most people won't admit.

I believe the latter part of the statement would explain why you yourself are not a moderator.

Please drive through to the second window :)

Of course. This is the very reason you don't deal with low life drug dealers who sell bad shit or rip you off, etc... In order to be a narc, that would require you spending MORE time around the shady dealers to collect information. Life is too short...and that is too dangerous a road for any sane person to travel. The answer is quite obvious...as most every one would agree:
You don't narc. You walk away...or run for, that matter. And, if you are any kind of friend at all, you warn those around you of this person's character.
Yet, the answer remains the same:
It's never okay to narc.

Never?

GenericMind just gave a great example of an exception. Well, maybe it is not okay, but his statement is much truer than you think, and anyone who says they would never narc, no matter what, and has never actually been in such a situation, is just a fool trying to be a bigshot.

And if you did take it into account, which is what you seemed to be countering, never is quite a strong word.

In GenericMind's statement, in all honesty, it doesn't matter who the dealer is in question - grimy bastard or not.

The only exception to that exception(wtf?) is if the dealer/person in question was a close friend or family member. I'm confident that I'd be willing to take a longer prison sentence for the former, and I'm certain I would for the latter.

I have skimmed a few of the posts but have not read thoroughly enough to respond individually.

First of all I really want to thank the posters who have thought out their responses with much consideration and clarity. It is a real shame to see a thread with much potential get shot down because somebody couldn't handle emotional name-calling.

Ultimately, I think that this is a clear case that mirrors DuBois Vs. Washington.

Washington obviously believed self-responsibility was the only way they could improve conditions for blacks for in the US. He writes: "In stern justice, we must lay on the soul of this man a heavy responsibility for the consummation of Negro disfranchisement, the decline of the Negro college and public school, and the firmer establishment of color caste in this land."

Same concept. Though DuBois is right that ALL of us SHOULD get equal treatment, this is too idealistic in terms of what we wish to actively pursue in legalization. Maybe the first step to making it legal is to start acting more like "proper" citizens of this country, and weeding out the parasites.

"In all things purely social we can be as separate as the fingers, yet one in the hand as all things essential to mutual progress." -Booker T. Washington

(Hah, and they made me re-take 11th grade history...suckers...)

To narc is to sacrifice anothers liberty for your security, In no way taking responsibility for the ignorance which would have landed you in the position to do so, If theres a guy thats screwing a bunch of people with some bunk shit, you should take responsibility for your ignorance of beleiving them round up some boys and keep it hard, or let it go. Don't get me wrong Ive had freinds that have rolled over, and I didn't really lose that much respect for them given their positions, shame it goes that way, sometimes its justified enough.

Yeah definatelty don't become a snitch. If anyone hears that you ratted nobody is gonna wanna fuck with you ever again which means those good honorable dealers will be gone. Just don't do business with the person again and spread the word. If you really wanna get dirty...jack him for his product so he can't sell it, heh.

^^I obviously don't want to resort to violence, theft, or cheating in the same manner that he/she does. That would be going against exactly what I am trying to accomplish.

Howcome all you guys who say that narc'ing isn't the answer, all give other petty or violent criminal acts of revenge as your solutions? Do you guys really think that is the answer?

answer?? what are we trying to answer???

narcing does not help the movement.

If you fuck a dealer, you fuck all his customers as well.

Its amazing what happens when people can't get drugs and know exactly why. What if an army of tweakers arrived at his door stoping by to "inquire" about what happened to thier ice :D

CreativeRandom, I don't want to hear it anymore. Stay on topic or I'll split off your posts to WOB. You've violated these same guidelines time and time again.

Holy shit....I cannot even believe that you are trying to equate or relate NARC'ING to black empowerment. *shakin my head*

Bad analogy homie. why dont you go ask the black community what they think about narcing. ;)

Snitching on someone that sells you a bad product is silly and dangerous to yourself, fuck that it's strictly caveat empor when you buy on the street. That said I crack up reading these post about "the code of streets" and how you never ever narc, bullshit. If it meant my freedom I'd sing from the treetops and I don't care who it would bring down and you know what? I'd get as much police protection as possible then dissapear. You guys are pretty funny thinking the world is black and white and those who do wrong always get what's coming to them, that rarely happens. Truth is the hardest mother-fucker is going to snitch if it means he's seeing 20 to life with no parole, show me your "code" then, please. Karma does not exist and it says a lot about your simple toughts that you have to believe it does.
