The "ganging up thing"?

So a few people hold a different opinion from one other person that means we are somehow ganging up on him? Fuck off.

I understand that MSB, MM, SHM etc all have their wee beef thing going on but I'd just like to say that I'm not part of it. I've got nothing against MSB (well that's not strictly true, but nothing personal), I just disagree with an awful lot of his opinions. Which should be pretty obvious seeing as he is, what appears to me, a conservative christian, who is married in his early twenties, which is kind of the polar opposite of myself so naturally we should disagree on a lot of things (we should really disagree on practically everything lol). So if you were including me in this "gang" then please get to fuck. If you weren't, then carry on

I also tend to agree with a lot of MM's opinions, we've got similar tastes in music/people/things, hence me now somehow being part of this wee gang haha

And as ptch says, when you have a few people whose opinions are similar, they are bound to agree....MSB has his own opinions on our opinions, and how our opinions are not valid opinions, cos we think the same, but his opinions are valid opinions

Yes I was including you in the ganging up.. I think you know the tone of the arguments have been much fiercer than just a ' difference of opnion'.. and like you just said you do have history with MSB.

If I saw a couple of people rowing furiously with each other ( as they have been) I wouldnt jump in.. even actually If I didnt like one of the posters.. I wouldnt do it in real life either.. would you?.

I cant see why if you or other people that have stepped in cant wait til the row has calmed down a bit.

There is a difference between debating reasonably and just picking on someone for sport. It seems MSB is sport this month but yer know .. what goes around comes around in life as well as online.

MSB - Sorry, I see you did answer my question re the rest of the family. I don't believe that. If the queen costs £30m then there's fucking no chance that the countless other wee inbred fucks that cut about only cost £10m in total. No chance at all.

Probably cost about £10m just to protect Harry while he "went to war".

The other royals have funds from their own assets which they live off.

That obviously excludes security and Prince Charle's/Harrys/Williams travel arrangements, which is what brings the figure upto £10 mil (in years when there aren't weddings or jubilees and shiz - then it jumps quite a bit).

The Queen herself doesn't cost that "herself" as such. Her doing her job costs that. She performs the function of state receptions and meeting dignitaries from abroad. If the Queen wasn't there we'd have a president doing that job who would arguably cost just as much. And personally, i'd rather have some old biddy doing that job so that the prime minister can get on with more important things than meeting and greeting on our behalf.

Sorry? The row? As in the discussion about the jubilee/queen? I have an opinion on what they're talking about so I've given it. I didn't wade in on two cunts having a fight.

I also did not just say that I have "history" with MSB. No more so than I have history with any other people on here who I have had conversations/arguments/debates/laughs with.


MSB - Fair play, where did they get those assets from that they live off though? Did they earn them? I fucking doubt it.

Yellow, he gives as good as he gets, he's thick skinned and I don't think this upsets him any more than it upsets me....he's told me himself he does it for fun. I don't "gang up on him", but I do, sometimes deliberately, try to provoke him, antagonise him, as he does to me.

PTCH isn't ganging up in any way, he's talking figures with MSB, disagreeing on the subject of the thread, whatever the fuck it was to start with.

It just happens that, on the subject of this thread, ptch and I have the same opinions...(knee-jerk reactions not backed up with FACTS)

I think YPDH mistakes my tone as being far more aggressive than it's intended to be. I don't think MSB takes it as such. I think if she ever saw me having a conversation with a friend in real life she'd probably think we were about to fucking murder each other lol. If she saw us having a slight disagreement she'd think WW3 was about to kick off!

You, SHM, and Sam, all add a level of making it personal that makes me dislike the three of you. I disagree just as fervently with PTCH and Knock, and probably a lot more members on here than that, who aren't total cunts. Because they aren't judgemental. The only thing that makes me butt heads with people is when they are judgemental, and that is entirely what you self righteous pricks are in your little liberal nitwit bubble. I've been over it countless times before, I just think you're misguided, you three think i'm the devil. PTCH can tolerate that someone disagrees with them and see that doesn't change who they fundamentally are, but apparently you three can't. Chinup and I used to talk extensively about her socialist views vs my capitalist ones, and to my mind we both got on pretty well in real life and on the internet. You don't have to act like I pissed on your kids at Christmas because I am a conservative.

I didn't come to this conclusion with the help of SHM or Sam. I don't act like you pissed on my kids, I treat you the same way you treat me....I know plenty of conservatives I can sort of get on with, and I have a very good friend who's a Jehovah's Witness....we agree on a lot of issues, disagree on others...but the conservatives and christians I know irl don't pretend they know everything, as you do, and they don't accuse anyone who disagrees with them of regurgitating stuff verbatim from the Guardian.

You aren't the only person that can see it. Chinup could see it too, and raised it as an issue, and was promptly bullied out of her position as the only mod who would stick up to Sam. I do not particularly understand why they felt the need to start insulting me. For instance SHM went straight to wishing death on me, rather than calmly talking over any given issue. There was once even a thread where 5 people said my opinion before me, I stated mine, and out of the wood work the little clique popped up to insult me. I can stick up for myself and i'm not really fussed, but I would actually like to talk over why they think/believe what they do rather than them just stating their opinion with an insult.

I did not say you gave an opinion on my tone. I was simply trying to explain why you seem to think I am having a fight with someone (& aye MSB, the fact I'm from Glasgow is probably why this happens lol) when from my point of view I am having a perfectly civil conversation with them.

I don't pretend I know everything and I don't know why you have painted me as such, or why you even think you are any different to me. You haven't once changed your opinion on a sodding thing, nor have you ever presented any cast iron facts or figures to back up a position you've taken. Of course i'm going to think i'm right until someone presents me with a logical argument, a statistic, or a fact/figure, which changes my mind. Which you don't bother doing... You seem to just flounce around the forum expecting me to bow down to your opinion because you're older or more people agree with you. And I will continue to say you regurgitate your opinions from the Guardian until you actually ever disagree with that paper - you know, show some sort of signs of being able to think independently for yourself? But you haven't.

I think you will also find that I was quite shocked when you blocked me, because I didn't see a problem between us. It was you who was getting wound up by my mere existence, not vice versa. Yeah but the problem on here is that the little clique of coca cola lovers are absolutely adament that they must be right because they are in a majority. They are just trapped in group think, and it obviously pains them to have someone disagree with them after so many years of only interacting with people identical to themselves. It doesn't really help that they also happen to think that anyone who dares like pepsi over coke is scum either. The same thing would probably happen at a few of the churches i've been to if an atheist turned up.

Well no I havn't given an opinion so far on your debating style or tone but I have already said that... timing yes.. But I can see how someone would see your approach as attacky and aggressive yeah. Pretty ad hominem as well as it goes...
