So who has used Tramadol?

Also anyone who doesnt have some PRAMIN or metoclopramide hydrochloride in there cupboard for nausea is really missing out. Pramin really is gr8. One tablet and say goodnight to the yucky tums. Very easily RX by your local GP. :)
 
^ You can get it OTC too though in much weaker tablets (with paracetamol): Anagraine. Handy to keep in mind if you can't make it to a GP for a script.
 
Does thast interfere with MDMA. I hate MDMA spews when you're having half gram doses.
So far only nitrous stops the nausea for me and that ends up making the whole peak about screwing in a frigging nang

Metoclopramide is mainly a dopamine antagonist, but has some antagonist and agonist effects on serotonin as well. I'm not sure what the data is on the binding affinity for those receptors, could possibly interfere with MDMA.

Take note that one of the infrequent side effects is hypertension which can be associated with agonism at certain serotonin receptors, not sure how this will apply to MDMA.

Metoclopramide has a 'severe drug interaction' warning when combing with tramadol on the drug interactions checker site, tread cautiously.

As for tramadol, I had a fucked up experience when I used 700mg of tramadol without realizing that celecoxib I was taking was a CYP2D6 inhibitor! Damn that was a weird night, hallucinations, memory holes, depressed for a few days afterwards.

I regularly take tram and effexor with pramin and have never had any interactions, but everyone is different. I know its good for mushy rush sickness.

That is an seriously huge amount of Tramadol! says max of 400mg.
 
Tramadol...what a joke.

Just did 5mg diazepam and 150mg Tramadol for shoulder pain.....feels really wierd compared to other opioids. Feel the opitae buzz but somehow speedy.....more so than low-dose oxy. anybody had this with tramadol? I'm not really sure i like the feeling...
 
hmmmm, now this stuff is actuaally hitting me quite hard....shit...it comes in waves like MDMA....how weird. DIdnt expect this off something that is considered equal strength as codeine.....I surely find it stronger.
 
Use the search engine... tramadol is not your standard opioid. Maybe would have payed off to search before taking it.

I find codeine a lot better then tramadol.
 
It's odd stuff by the sound of it. I've got mates who love it & other who hate it. Luck of the draw I guess.

No worries will search from now on - just to draw a conclusion about last night, I find tramadol was quite a good experience in the end. I did 150mgs and 60mgs codeine and felt better than off DHC or straight codeine. The thing I liked most about it was that it didnt seem to slow my breathing as much as the standard opioids do...it is however a more subtle buzz.. I am kind of sick of my usual combo which is 190mg DHC + 60mg codeine....its so hard to get ya hands on oxy or anything similar on a regular basis so I always play around with codeine and DHC (yeah...from Rikodeine :! ). Tramadol was a nice change!
 
Was prescribed Tramadol 100mg SR today for a shoulder injury. Have never taken anything in the way of opiates/opiods and have been keen to try. So today I parachuted a 100mg (about 2 hours ago) & washed it down with a few bourbons but so far haven't felt anything....
 
You have the SRs? You have to grind them up really well before you have them. Chomp on them heaps if you can grit through the taste. I just finished my lsat 4 50mg trams, which i was prescribed last week. For my wisdom teeth though. I'm enjoying them, they work pretty well

DO NOT EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AT ALL TAKE TRAMADOL IF YOU ARE ON ANY ANTI-DEPRESSANT, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A SSRI/SNRI, LIKE EFFEXOR XR, THIS CAN OUTRIGHT KILL YOU.

Despite thinking I knew a lot about drug interactions, I nearly died a couple of years ago when I took some Tramadol whilst on Effexor XR. I went into a deep coma for 2 weeks, I had severe seizures, stopped breathing, had to be resuscitated multiple times & intubated, my heart nearly stopped and was on life-support.

Turns out that Tramadol + SSRI/SNRIs = Extreme Serotonin Syndrome.

There have been quite a few instances of people dying from this (even some BLers), just like I very nearly did.

It is particularly worrisome because of the large number of people who are on these ADs yet are willing to pop anything into their mouth without knowing the finer details, which could cost you your life.
