So who has used Tramadol?

What dosage Tramadol did you have, and what is/was the weight you had when taking tramadol.

As I've stated, for my mbike off in '06, tramadol gave me a "little high" on the very first dose but all subsequent doses since then (most days out of the 4.5years) give no euphoria but it's been great for me for pain relieving, I'd say more so than oxycontin (on a relative basis)

My injury was on a motorbike too, conveniently as i was poppin a wheelie at 60 clicks, upon planting the front wheel back down both front forks snapped and my shoulder copped full impact into the ground.

I can't remember what dose, but i was in intense pain so it wouldn't have been small, would have weighed around 95kg. But then again they gave me morphine in the hospital and it did fuck all, so maybe im tolerant or some shit. But it certainly wasn't recreational at all.

Fuck that. I have hit rocks and gone over the forks but what you describe is insane. You wouldn't have got thrown up into the air, you would have gone straight down hard into the dirt.

I heard that Tramadol is unique in it's own way and can actually help manage depression also...what an awesome drug in my book.

Well yes and no; the fact that it acts on the noradrenergic and serotonergic systems means that if you're taking it long term for pain manangement you're going to have worse withdrawals when you do come off it compared to some other opiates. There are also the side effects to take into consideration; lower seizure threshold etc.

^Which can be completely minimized by taking an occasional benzo. But seriously tramadol withdrawals are terrible. I took them for a few months and had a hard time breaking it, I actually just ended up switching to oxy and quit with that. There light opiate withdrawal, and a combination of other withdrawals. IMO.

The thing I liked about them is if you can get a sweet spot with them, they worked great for me. Just as good as hydro's. I noticed they can make you speedy though, i've minimized that by dosing a small dose, then waiting about an hour and a half and taking my normal dose.

Those XR ones work quite well, if it works for you most Dr.s will keep you on it forever.

I take the 100MG SR Tramadol... which lasts for 12 hours around the clock and gives me a slight happy feeling in the first few hours. I don't have any problems getting a script for this strengh and my GP even mentioned it isn't addictive.

So, when's a good time to start using Tramadol for legitimate pain caused by lifting weights, after stopping Aropax altogether?

I know the usually situation is like 14 days. But I'm pretty keen on hooking up some tomorrow, along with my pain specialist, and I'm also on Reboxetine.

Is there any chance of SSRI syndrome, or hypertensive crisis if I mix Reboxetine (Edronax) and let's say about 200 mg of (SR) Tramadol HCL?

Cheers guys :)

Love your Liver

I found out on the internet, if you have liver problems or are a heavy drinker like myself...don't take Tramadol. Well then...I'd better throw away those toxic trams once and for all then lol.

^ something I'm mindful of myself having a wee little (huge) bit of a drinking problem. Increase the amount of water you're drinking, try to have an otherwise healthy diet and lifestyle, and look into supplements like milk thistle.

Thank you for the advice and I'm actually having a Liver function test done early next year...due to years of Binge drinking abuse. I'm scared to have this done...how ever on the other hand, I would rather know before it is to late to fix any Liver problems which may show up on the test. I thought Tramadol is kinder on the Liver compared to Mersyndol or Panadol.

I don't want to know about my liver. I'm scared too. Bourbon has done it no favours. I'm sure my other habits have not helped. Do you know what the oxys do to the liver?????

I am a bourbon drinker also...my favourite being Wild Turkey and I love the American honey flavour yuuuuummmmm. I take Tramadol, Alepam, Normison and Mersyndol meds...can you imagine the harm to your liver in the long term, by taking all these meds like myself scaryyyyy.

I found 150-200mg tramadol to be the sweet spot. Puts me in kinda a sream like state, eyes closed in front of the tv and not a care in the world. Im not asleep but Im not awake either. Was told its not habit forming but a month of daily use told me different. Felt crap for 10 days after stopping. Would use it once a month or less to avoid tollerence and get a nice buzz.

never had much of a comedown from tramadol, apart from the day after blues. Prob because of the effexor. Ive used it for both rec and therapy and find it to be both a stimulant and analgesic. During a peroid of 5 years i have used it with antidepressants ( effexor) and dexamphetamine. I actually find it makes me stay awake more than the dex! Its deffinately a multi action drug that does have anti-depressant effects but is in know way like a heavy narcotic..side effect wise. Ive come off subz, that was bad. They are slighlty psychologically addictive as they can perk my mood up when needed.
Not too good for breakthru pain but used with OTC codeine can be very effective at relieving pain.

i took 100ml of tramadol last night and had a hell of a time sleeping. its 6.30 am which is a ghastly hour for me to be awake at, sleeping is one of my true talents. i enjoy the light dreamy sleep from heroin but tramadol i just found annoying. it also seems to have a much longer half life than heroin and codeine, im still a bit bleary after 12 hours. i have to say i did have some nice euphoric effects though, nothing compared to h but still very nice. the nausea was intense though, ive never thrown up after h or anything else but i couldnt move for about an hour after taking tramadol.

Ha,ha,. Tram sure does fuck with ya sleep. And im a hypersomniac! Yeah, when i first started using tramal, i would be unable to sleep for atleast 12 hrs. and then it would be a light tramal sleep... not very revitalising! Having said that most opiates keep me awake and have a stimulating effect as opposed to amphetamines that dont really do much for me. I still sleep soundly on 30mg of dexamp per day. I guess my brain is wired backwards...i am left handed! maybe theres a study that could be undertaken there. left handeds are stimulated by opiates trial! id offer my services. Also tramal is notoriously neausiating for some people. A shot of IV tramal is more likely to make U sick than a shot of morph ... on a scale of 10mg morph and 100 mg tram that is.
