So, do foreskins turn you off?

To those who say that removed foreskin results in less pleasure, I wonder if you're speaking from personal experience or if it's just an assumption?

I had mine done when I was 30 due to medical reasons and I am probably one of the few that can state from experience that there is NO difference in sensation for me at least between having a foreskin and not having one. Sex is just as good now as it was before. So I'm not fussed either way plus it gave me a new fan belt for the panel van :)

I have never seen a circumcised penis. However, many of my friends that have experience with both circumsized and uncircumcised men have no preference either way. I have actually never heard anyone express a strong opinion on it. This seems to imply that such strong, widespread opinions are more due to social norms as opposed to an innate disgust with the foreskin itself.

i have heard that it increases pleasure.....

One thing I find troubling: the fact that parents are willing to subject their child to a procedure of this nature, yet somehow do not feel it necessary to conduct even the most basic of research first :/

i used to be turned on by australian and english accents but now i know whats underneath those pants and i am glad i live in the states :)

but do you have a penis?

there is a big difference between giving head to an uncut man and one who is circumcised...

my logic is that circumcision when unnecessary i.e. in babies this is all the time unlike phimosis in adults, is essentially plastic surgery on a non consenting child.

would you give a baby a facelift? sounds extreme

the logic of i'm gonna get my child circumcised because i dont like the look of it is no different to foolish adults who slice their face up under the knife to achieve what they think is a desirable look except those people consented. FYI i'm talking bout "real housewives of beverly hills"

the reason why i have a strong opinion on this is because i think its a crazy thing to do to your child and also because i have a cock and have seen a LOT in my time and some of them were cut and from where i am standing didn't seem to improve on what nature made in the first place.

also i love how the torah bans tattoos but bellendoplasty seems okay...

have you still got your banjo string? also if you had it done for medical reasons then there was a need and this makes sense. i'm all for real medical procedures on consenting adults who are going to gain something positive from the operation

its interesting looking at that old thread.... it seems to be divided about 50/50.... either way it is still a cultural thing to a degree.... those who are vehemently against it are overwhelmingly located outside of the US...

I really dont think i should be demonized for saying its something i will have done to my child...... besides its a low risk easy procedure and EVERY male in my family and my SO's family is circumcised

I would too if I had a male child. My virology professor talked about it being cleaner, too and I'll take his PhD+MBA degree word for it.

but sensitivity in the head of the penis is then increased..... (dirty details- i have tried giving head to uncut penis and cut penis and believe me cut got wayyyyyyy more pleasure.... you my friend are missing out and you just dont know it)

Fucking epic post. ;)

The Ph.D is relevant to the subject of virology (Well, I'm presuming that it was a Ph.D in virology) the MBA however is not, and that is just an argument to (inappropriate) authority if the MBA is used a credential on the subject of human health or microbiology.

or in other words justifying an opinion based on level of qualitfication

the whole consent argument is my beef.

how can you consent on behalf of your child for a cosmetic procedure? let them chose what they want when they are grown up

Uncut is the way to go.

The argument that it is cleaner is bullshit. People wash themselves you know.
The argument it increases pleasure has been proven to be bullshit above.

At the end of the day, if you as a parent decide to circumcise your child then you are mutilating his body because of your own irrational beliefs. Do we not live in a time where people should be able to make these decisions for themselves?
Do your kid a favour and leave his penis the way we as humans evolved into.

Once you get cut, you can't get uncut but if he decides at a later date he wants to, then fair enough.

Well said nastypoker :)
And none of that jebus talk either you set of child abusers.

Yes his PhD was in virology and he was my genetics professor as well. He is a med school professor too. He taught us at night because he never slept and I guess he just really liked teaching. We used to joke that he was always 20 mins late to class because 10 mins were bought with the phd and 10 mins were bought with his MBA. He was a great teacher. I had a crush on him. :)

lol. I'm not doubting his qualifications in general, I was just pointing out that the MBA specifically, is not a credential that gives one authority to pontificate on human health or virology. The other ones, are. But mentioning the MBA in reference to virology is like me mentioning my air assault infantry qualification in reference to plasma physics. While it's certainly an achievement in it's own right, it is completely disconnected from the subject matter.

100% agree..... if my parents cut my foreskin I would cut their heads off

I'm a guy, American, and I'm cut and I'm happy w/ it and glad my mother had me circumsized so that I wouldn't be teased and I'm really glad she did. I'm cut and I'll have my sons cut, I don't feel like I need to explain my reasons here and please don't try to tell me I'm wrong just because you disagree.

Yes I am going to have them cut because it looks nicer, is more hygienic, and girls prefer it here in America. They will be glad when their older. *snip* All I see is that your not cut, and on a rage about people seeing things differently.

Let's keep it civil everyone please, this could be an interesting discussion but if it starts to get insulting/inappropriate this thread is gonna have to be closed.

You get to talking about penis and emotions fly! The comments from folks that where cut later in life are interesting. They seem to express only slight to no change in sensitivity. There is a good body of reasearch to support reduced STD transmission.
