So, do foreskins turn you off?

^Yeah, those were the most interesting comments. I'd never met anyone before who'd gotten cut when they were actually old enough to make the decision themselves. I do think that's how it should always be done though.

Reduced STD transmission or not, any non-essential (life or limb) surgical procedure should never performed on a person who is unable to give personal informed consent at the time of the surgery. Doubly so if there is no reason to expect that they will not be able to at some point in the future, have the ability to give or withhold that consent on their own accord.

Ah, the yearly circumcision flame-war--perhaps one day to be settled with real bullets, to hear people talk. "Foreskin isn't free!"

its interesting looking at that old thread.... it seems to be divided about 50/50.... either way it is still a cultural thing to a degree.... those who are vehemently against it are overwhelmingly located outside of the US...

Cut people and the people who fuck them think it rules. Uncut people and the ones who fuck them think it rules. In general.

I've never seen an uncut one IRL.

I had a Cuban friend who never saw a circumsized penis until she dated an American guy. She thought "that mushroomy thing" at the top was odd-looking. lol I guess it's a cultural thing. My ex-husband insisted on getting it done when my son was born. His little pee-pee was beet red for almost a week.

I'm a guy, American, and I'm cut and I'm happy w/ it and glad my mother had me circumsized so that I wouldn't be teased and I'm really glad she did. I'm cut and I'll have my sons cut, I don't feel like I need to explain my reasons here and please don't try to tell me I'm wrong just because you disagree.

Yup, pretty much agree with this.

I'm cut and happy about it, because as many of the posts in this thread demonstrate, many girls are big on the Rumple Foreskins.

But at the same time, if I had a kid, I'd be a little ambivalent towards the idea. For one, I wouldn't want my son to be teased for sporting an Aardvark Interactive, while at the same time I can see why a lot of people would consider an unnecessary procedure or form of genital mutilation. Good thing I'm never gonna have kids and be faced with this situation.

I know it seems extreme to compare male and female circumcision, because female circumcision tends to be more damaging to the genitals. However in concept I do agree that it's basically the same. It's performing an UNNECESSARY surgery on a patient who can't consent. Both are motivated by tradition/outdated reasons (hygiene/covenant in the case of men, enjoying sex/preserving virginity in the case of women) and I think both are equally cruel and wrong. My father was circumcised and when my brother was born, my mum was going to go ahead and let the doctor circumcise him. Dad was like fuck no. Apparently the medical staff gave some kind of explanation like 'don't you want your son's penis to look the same as yours' and the standard locker room outcast bullshit. But nope, he remained unconvinced. If at his current age he wanted it done, that's his prerogative. But to force it on someone is pretty fucked, considering there's no going back if they don't like it.

I was reading something recently about intersex babies and how they are typically surgeried into female because their genitalia are usually closer to the female phenotype. According to the author of the article, this causes a lot of cognitive dissonance that I think could be even worse than putting up with locker room jibes. Even in a case of ambiguous genitalia, I'd say leave it the fuck in tact and let the person decide if they want surgery when they reach the age of consent. And maybe put some privacy curtains or stalls in the locker room if it's such a big problem that people are getting bullied for looking different naked.

This debate is so ridiculous, I don't even. It's fine to like cut or uncut and not like the other. It's fine to get a circumcision, male or female, if you WANT one. But letting parents (who are on average, retarded when it comes to biology and the risks of surgery) decide on whether to have it done (especially because it's unnecessary!) should be fucking illegal. If there's some medical reason for it let the surgeon decide.

As for people who think uncut caks are gross or whatever, you're brainwashed by society. Uncut caks are the equivalent of a vagoo with in-tact labia. Cut caks and circumcised vagoos are gross to me psychologically because they are a product of overzealous adherence to tradition and disregard for the infant's consent and well being.

This debate is over, i'm out.

have you still got your banjo string? also if you had it done for medical reasons then there was a need and this makes sense. i'm all for real medical procedures on consenting adults who are going to gain something positive from the operation

Yes mine was definitely medical, long story but when I was in the army out on a jungle exercise for 2 weeks it got infected and had to go or risk spreading. Operation was a complete success if not fucking painful like you wouldn't believe.

Worst aspect for an adult having it done is that guys don't realise how many erections they get during the night. Now when you're thing has stitches all the way around it's end and you have a dozen erections when you're asleep, you wake up every 30 min like someone is taking a knife to it, so for two weeks I was dousing it with ice water and getting little sleep until the stitches were removed. It healed very fast and was back having sex after 4-6 weeks and everything worked perfectly normally.

Don't know whether it should be done on babies without their consent yet from my experience I would have welcomed it to avoid the problem I had as well as knowing that it wouldn't have affected my sexual performance but as you said, it makes sense for the person to decide for themselves when they are an adult - even though it's way more painful then. I'm always interested to hear from women what they think about guys having this done so have found this threat interesting.

I just think it's funny that the men who are most offended by the idea of circumcision, are always uncut, and uncut guys are almost always offended by circumcision. And I get it, especially in the US, being uncut carries a certain stigma, so it incites a rebound effect, because they are self conscious about their own penis they push back twice as hard against the people who they perceive as judging them. Little advice for guys like this, don't get so emotional about it, when you do it's obvious to everyone that you are self conscious about your dick, it would be a sign of confidence if you were uncut and indifferent to circumcision, and confidence is sexy.

I'm happy with my circumcised dick, I'm glad it's not as sensitive(if that's even true, and maybe sensitivity leads to quicker orgasm but I can't imagine it alters the release of neurotransmitters in the brain which result in pleasure to a large degree), sex for personal pleasure got boring a long, long time ago, for me it's all about how good I can make the girl feel and if having a cut cock makes me last longer, great.

That being said, I don't have a problem with uncircumcised dicks in particular, I think the penis is a rather odd looking, ugly organ either way. But I do know most the girls I've been with have preferred circumcised dicks, maybe if they had grown up accustomed to foreskins and circumcisions were the rarity then the reverse would be true, but we'll never know.

I don't consider it mutilation, nor do I see it as a medical advantage if you have good hygiene, it is generally a cosmetic procedure.

All that should matter is that you and your SO are comfortable with your penis, cut or uncut. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks or try to get everyone on your side.

All that being said, it should remain up the the parents. Getting a circumcision as an adult is a much, much more complicated and painful procedure that results in more scarring than giving a circumcision to an infant.

lol all the people that think they are smarter than 350 millions years of evolition

How do you feel about braces? Or the removal of wisdom teeth? Guess we shouldn't cut our hair either, if we were supposed to have short hair we would have evolved that way.

I guess antibiotics and vaccines are out the window too, we just need to evolve to beat disease naturally.

I circumcised my son not for any religious or hygiene reason but solely because I am and I personally believe it looks better. I'm also be happy to receive any thanks from his future sexual partners whether male or female. From personal experience it was painless without any bleeding and as far as I can tell he still thinks i'm a pretty good father, hoodie or not.

Thats the best thing about being a parent, you get to make important decisions for your children up until such time they leave your house and fend for themselves (or turn 16 by law around here). If he is going to pissed off about it in the future then he is not going to love the piano lessons or orthodontic braces I am going force on him in the coming years. He recently broke his collarbone and as much as he doesn't want to wear a sling and keep his arm still for the next 4 weeks, there is no way in hell a 6 yr old is making medical decisions concerning his own body. I'm the boss, and by all reports a fucking good one. Until they make it illegal to be a parent I'll continue to make decisions about vaccinations, surgeries and whether he is allowed any piercings.

To answer the original question, I'm turned off by any penis that isn't attached to my own balls, skivvy or hoodie.

You must be new here LuGo, or failed to have read the previous 25 versions of the foreskin thread :)

I think i have read one or two in my 7 years here. Rangrz just happened to sum up how i feel, i know that won't be the end of the thread though :)

Pagey that is very relevant comparsion

its proven fact, that the bad thing that parents do to children, will be done by the children to their grandchilder...

I am not against braces, wisdom teeth removal or antibiotics IF mature person gives consent to these things being used on that person,...........ok that apply more to wisdom teeth, the antibiotics and braces are ok... but braces and antibios arent irreversible body damage

cutting piece of baby dick is just absolute disrespect of freedom,it can easily be done later, but lets do it while they are defense less before they can say "fuck you,I aint cutting my dick you sick bastard!"

What if they don't use a scalpel or cut it off?
