Snoo version 6 - Shiny Spring-Summertime Snoo!

That's nearer a miracle than a mere snoo, Brimz 8o

My snoo for the last 24h is (a) new 'puter is up and running and not yet exploded or melted or owt and (b) managing to find the sweetspot where I can have it arranged so as it still fits under me table whist being just close enough to me settee for the headphone cord to reach me sitting spot and related duvet warmth. Can't attach speakers yet cos I need to find the plug/a plug that fits and also dig out a multiplug adapter thingy cos I've run outta sockets. *Linux technical gibberings moved to here*

My snoo is getting offered £40 for me old phone from Mazuma. Proper happy when that money comes in.
 
My snoo was watching the news today and seeing that some parts of the governments Workfare programme being deemed unlawful. Iain Duncan Smith going beyond powers that he actually has.
A rare victory for the common man/woman.

Indeedy-do, Snoll-de-Roll. Still bastard cold in here though. Even colder than it was before if anything. Which cannot possibly be the case but am actually rigid and shivering with cold now. Either just come as a shock to the system (me bod's been without warmth for so long it's forgotten how it's supposed to feel) or the temperature outside has plummeted and the heating is just struggling to catch up. Does take a goodly while to heat up a flat that's properly cold though so will lay off the moaning and think toasty thoughts til actual toastiness arrives.

Aye haha am with you on the 'taking ages to heat up' thing, we have the heating on constantly here and my room is always comparable to a mild spring day, at the best. Tis a big room with basically floor to ceiling windows so it's a cunt to keep heated but for gods sake I swear there's three other rooms in this house the same size that are infinitely warmer. Radiator does not radiate damn it. I am currently cutting about in a hoodie, an Akademiks beanie hat, pink and white striped pyjama bottoms and some leopard skin ballet shoe style slippers. Not a great look, but required.

Have decided to be bloody-minded about it and refuse to cover up. Pair of joggybottom thingies, a t-shirt and slippers. Could put a jumper on but that would defeat the purpose of having the heating on and am determined to notice the moment the thaw starts. Fuck you, nose - my face spites you :p

Definitely gone up a fraction of a degree since last temperature update, methinks. Shivering has mostly stopped but still have that weird rigidity that's totally counterproductive to comfort but hard to avoid when bleedin' freezin'. Reckon I need the room to go up a full degree to put an end to that and anything beyond that is cherries and fudge sauce and choccy sprinkles and stuff.
 
Aye, way ahead of fashion, me ;) Am a bit the same when I go home to my parents though, Dad steadfastly refuses to heat what is a massive and freezing house unless his bollocks are literally frozen to his legs or some shit. He's a very northern man, shirt and shorts all year round, and all I get off him when I complain it's cold is 'put some clothes on'. Fuck off I'm in a t shirt, joggers and hat I shouldn't need to!

And now you've got me hungry with the cherries and fudge and choccy sprinkles, ya bastard <3

Vicarious Snoo for me tonight, seeing my housemate prepare for his first Valentines with his girlfriend, who is also a housemate. He's bought her a Bonsai tree which has been living in my room for the past few days, some flowers which he has just cut and arranged and left with me as well, and he's booked her a table at our favourite restaurant. It's so sweet to see, but I really hope she makes an effort for him too. He's the most amazing guy I've ever known and he deserves it.

Aye hehe it's lovely, he was the nightmare housemate last year when we were in the flat but ever since he's been a joy to live with and I'm gonna be genuinely incensed if she doesn't at least do something, as she has a reputation amongst us other housemates and our friends for taking advantage of him a bit. If I was a dick (which I am), I'd say he deserves better. This is the guy who will come and check up on me and hug me when he knows I'm sad and I see him as a little brother, really. She needs to pull out all the stops, put it that way ;)

Snoo of the day was receiving an extension cord for me headphones in the post today so I can sit/lounge/doze on me sofa and watch stuffs without having to be excessively cautious about yanking 'em out the socket whilst I work out how to arrange me electrics so I can connect me speakers up. Knockfairies ftw <3

That aside, sunny walk snoo is a fine snoo of the oldskool, Snolls. Was lovely and sunny here earlier but am not much of a walker since living here. You'd think that wouldn't be the case given folk come on holidays specifically to walk here. And there are some great walks to walk. They tend to be 20-30 mile jobbies that are amazingly easy to get lost without compass and map (Janet Street-Porter stylee) though - and fukkin steep too in this terrain - and just ain't the same walking a bit then turning round and coming back. Probably just making excuses though. Am sure more suitably-lengthed walks are available. Need to get meself a camera again. Or some good walking drugs. Ideally both. Never been very good at doing stuff just for the sake of it really. Need to tie it in to something else as an excuse - walk to find stuffs to photograph, walk to make use of excess stimulation, walk to see pretty outside things (cos they just ain't pretty enough without psyches :D) and such. Alternatively, I'm just fukkin lazy in me dotage.
 
Aye, get a camera and some walking drugs n get out there :D But yeah, am lazy too. Used to go for many walks back at my parents', was a lovely wee trail only a couple miles long, would park me car up, get stoned on the way round, end up back at the car a few hours later. Round here tis all pavements and roads and whatnot though, I miss the countryside and Hull has a spectacular lack of either scenery or hills. Not even a slight incline anywhere. Me Grandma is one for those 20-30 mile treks, she took me Mum and Dad out on one round there's once, only eight miles or so, but me Mum rang me and my sister to pick her up half way round, ha :D
 
My most recent snoo was not only breaking the 1MB/s barrier for d/l a torrent but smashing fuck outta said barrier. Spotted it flying along at 1.83MB/s t'other day. Totally unheard of at Chez Sham. That's more than double the previous high. Didn't actually know me connection allowed for speeds like that. Must've been a popular torrent.

A minor snoo admittedly but as I had sod all to watch on this pooter so far it was nice acquiring a perfetly legal in every conceivable way copywrite-free thing or two to watch.
 
That's faster than mine. I hit about 1.2mb max. Back in daaaaaaaaaayz (blud) when I hooked it up myself - phoned BT & just said "I want your cheapest phone line rental & your most expensive internet package" lol - I was getting 10mb download, easy. Cunts on here are probably getting 10x that now. I'm happy enough with the speed I've got the now, can always get the next thing downloaded before whatever I'm currently watching has finished.
