Snoo version 6 - Shiny Spring-Summertime Snoo!

Don't want to ruin or dampen the snoo thread, so mods (SG and kate) feel free to remove this post. but I am really not fond of the phrase "this too shall pass" everything passes, good or bad and noone knows what is next, good or bad, it sn't apositive statement in my mind. but that's me.

Nice of your friend to leave a nice post it note with a message you liked though, so snoo there indeed :)

But this is the very essence of life. What everyone is trying to cope with and be at peace with, be it with spirituality or with drugs. The human condition. If Cherry uses it in a spiritual philosophical way that helps her deal with 'moments' of course it's a positive thing. I guess as you said, its a personal thing.
 
yeah, it works for some, not for others, some may love to say "I'm Shiva, the God of Death" to help them through bad times but most wont.

"This too shall pass" is nice, it just grinds my gears a bit.

I'm more of a fan of the phrase "life goes on"
 
I understand where you're coming from Mugz, there i s suggestion that "this will pass" and this means thing will get better, but this clearly isn't the case. Quite often things get worse but they do change and the way you react to your circumstances within our control in most cases.

We are all in a constant state of flux as is reality so thing will pass, but whats next, that's the mystery that keeps me feeling alive...some of the time.
 
Spring seems to be just around the corner at last - just went for a lunchbreak walk and the sun was coming through the clouds and actually giving off heat. It's astounding what a positive effect it can have on your mood. Lovely.

Snoo number two is welcome confirmation that EADDers are as attractive as their online personas, but on that one I'll remain quiet for fear of embarrasing them. ;)

My snoo is having a lovely night on Sat with friends (didn't get into the club but made the afterparty :D ) without going OTT and giving myself a horrible comedown. And finding some hash under my cushion when I thought I was all out :D
 
I'm keeping quiet in the name of mystery and intrigue. Not that I imagine too many people are mystified and/or intrigued.

Sounds like a great night - glad you knew where to draw the line. The hash is just icing on the cake - as is the fact you got thrown out for looking underage. Yeah, we read all the edits around here. ;)
 
Hehehe. I removed that cos it was the wrong thread then couldn't be bothered to repost it in gibberings. They were IDing everyone but I am always pretty pleased when I am ID'd (well, pissed off too ofc haha), not bad for 27-nearly-28 :D

I'm not very good at drawing the line haha but I found getting nice and stoned and having good company meant I could still stay at the afterparty for ages and have fun :) next night out is Fri, I'll try to get in this time ;)

It's a rare pleasure to get asked for ID. Last time it happened to me it was a flirty fiftysomething in a supermarket, and that was just a corny chat-up line. The worst is being in a group and being the only one not to get asked. That stings.

Oh, I will get in. I came home on Sat after being refused entry, located passport, went out again then another mate didn't get in either so we chilled (ish hehe) at hers til afterparty o'clock.

Next snoo: pancakes at DS's later :D
 
As I was walking home from a friends house this morning, I found a pretty much brand new deep pink/red shaggy wool pile rug from Laura Ashley left on a wall a few doors down from me, with a note saying 'Free to good home'. I had a peek inside the window of the flat it had been left outside of, and it looked clean and tidy. It's perfect for my bedroom, i've googled the name, and on the online catalogue it's worth 200 quid! It's not got a stain on it, and still smells of new carpet!

The catalogue describes the colour I've got as 'cherry' too :)

I'm not bothered Sam, why should I be embarrassed its nothing to be ashamed of ....well not most of it anyway;)
 
I honeslty thought i didn't have a penny until Tuesday, decided to check my online banking, and there's a tenner there that I honestly didn't think was there. Now me and the cats don't have to live on rations until Tuesday. That's taken some stress of me for a few days =D

After a crap end to 2011 and a considerably crapper start to 2012, I have been asked to come forward and be seen at one of my three preferred universities with a view to a September start. So it's not all over yet but I can see the finishing line!

Good news at last. :)

I got a nice Tofugo Japanese snoo e-mail today :) from the Cat Island peeps =D the things I do when oot me nut :o least they found it funny! I think I shall reply too 8(

You've lost me with the Cat Tofu Snoo talk ;) What did you do to make them mieow?
