SNOO V8 - In the bathroom smashing glasses

I somehow managed to miss that you and Mrs Urb were expecting but snooful indeed - great news, Urb! =D<3

Also, congrats on the tax rebate, Sadie! =D<3

Just be sure they don't pay it out in Belarusian Rubles :sus:

I've never had a tax refund :(. Are they applied automatically, or do you have to initiate some kind of querying process?

Congrats, btw!

I got a tax rebate of £500 once... A few weeks later (just enough for me to be able to spend it all) I got another letter telling me id underpaid by about £500 in a different year and they wanted it. Thanks a fucking lot HMRC.

To answer your question they should do it automatically if given enough time but if you think you are due one you can write to them and ask them to look IIRC.

Thanks for clarifying (also thanks to Sadie).

Recovered the core 376GB of my music collection from a damaged hard drive, after almost a year:)

This is the fourth time in ten years I've rescued most of this. Gotta have the music.

That's pretty fucking snoo, you got to go the extra mile for music. My collection got fucked up by my own, uh, fuck up, need to get it all off my old laptop again, I hate not having much on here. I need to just back it all up to an external HD and then put it in a box in a drawer til I need it again.

376gb? Have you downloaded every song on earth? or do you just download them at a ridiculous kbps rate?

What makes my own MP3 collection so sentimental (Which is about 5GB, and very vast), is it was all downloaded over a 56k modem. Each individual song in the many thousands, was anticipated over a period of about an hour, as napster or Kazaa slowly downloaded them from someone elses computer. Years of computer slowness, cancellations, loss of connections, external users going offline... plagued me as my collection was slowly built.

Redundancy dude! Buy two hard drives next time ;)

Heh, mine was mostly acquired the same way too. Those were the good old days. Mine is still 140GB though, 5GB doesn't sound vast to me?

Tis quite a lot, mine is around 100gb between two laptops I think, but I can definitely see someone having that much. All of mine is from the last five or six years mind, I don't think I could listen to half the shit I downloaded on Kazaa nowadays

I used have around 100GB after years of downloading, copying from disks and sharing with friends and housemates.

Then I had a bar for over four years and had some pretty huge music swaps going on with other bar owners and musicians whose tastes overlapped. Got big fast, but when you play music 16 hours a day to suit the mood, the public and yourself you need choice.

The worst thing was the weeks it took to weed out duplicates/poorer quality versions etc.

I do have, one 1tb won't spin up, and the other lost format on the bulk of it's storage. I recovered the latter one.

Mine is 500gb and am in desperate need of a new external HD ><

If the extant one ever broke... 8o

(i'd have to hammer the shit out of my torrent software for a while 8))

It's sort of fun doing that sometimes though, you end up rediscovering old stuff or, in my case, going on a tag-clicking spree and ending up with loads of stuff I've never heard of but will probably listen to at some point soon maybe

Snoo for the day is sitting down with people at work to have cofee and biscuits because they wanted me to tell them about my holiday. It's nice being a small team sometimes.

Is nice when you get chance to do that, don't often get the opportunity at our office but when we do it's always pretty hilarious which is excellent when you've had a stressful day. You settled back in now after travelling to foreign lands?

Had fair bit of snoo today, been stressing badly over a health-related issue for a week or so and need more tests to rule stuff out but doctor's put me at ease for now. Also got home to find a jiffy bag full of photos of my girlfriend as a child, as well as a note from her Nan and a tenner to get a bottle of wine. Love her Nan so much, reminds me of my own and always love going to see her.

I still feel really tired and it's cold, but generally it's fine.

Bit gash about the health issues, but glad a lovely Nan is cheering you up!

Sounds about right! Yeah can't beat a Lovely Nan for a bit of cheer. She's also excellent for embarassing anecdotes, bollocking people, and drinking you under the table

My snoo... I just talked for a long time with MrsMist.. It was really nice, nevermind her being blind drunk calling me at 3am... it was sweet and we laughed <3
