Snoo V7 - ah spring, has sprung, a SNOO! (bless you).

Yeah, I still only have 2 batteries so could do with getting more.. and I've not bothered to grind mine really fine but suspect it'd be more efficient if I did. Also, did you know that it's common to make cannabutter out of vaped weed? Makes it even more efficient. :D

I didn't know that, no! I'd read some talk of it, and I've smoked vaped weed enough to know there's still something there, but I'd not put two and two together. Might try that. I've never really delved into edibles so it didn't spring to mind.

Definitely get more batteries, and get a super fine grinder if possible, though very dry coarse-ground weed can be crushed I guess.

Good work you naughty smokers, now you can take more drugs instead (that's right isn't it? yeah).

<3

I'm feeling generally cheerful today, I'm not even on drugs for once. Wonders will never cease.

More drugs? Hmmm, possibly not. I'll give my drug quota to swampy.

Glad you're feeling cheerful sans drugs though. :)

More alcohol then? More food?! More sex?!?! Smoking is meant to be fun right (I wouldn't know, I went straight into proper drugs like a good girl) so you need something else fun to fill its place ;)

And I'm a cheerful little soul normally so no difference right?

Alcohol - Tentatively quit a few months ago.

Food - Ongoing 'issues' with hating the idea of it (and sometimes the look of it) but knowing I need to eat nonetheless.

Sex - Not happening.

Maybe crochet. Or church, I dunno. We'll figure something.

And yes, you're always a cheerful soul. Though very often a drug-fuelled one. ;)

I recommend yoga, Sam. There are classes at the church up the road. =D

Yeah, edibles are lovely.. a different kind of high but worth exploring.

Cor, thanks! Although after the past few weekends I'm not really sure I should up my quota either.

Ha! I'm pretty sure there are as well. This 'having a BLer live nearby' thing is leaving me no excuses whatsoever. :sus:

Though it'd probably be useful, would mean I could be claiming to be 'going to church' and not lying through my teeth. ;)

Yep, there are because I was looking for local classes. And I hadn't thought about the "going to church" aspect.. does that make stoned yoga a blasphemous thing to be doing?

Do yoga, post photos :D

Snoo is getting a pet snake. It's a California King snake and it's like 3ft long or something. Swear the tank is making the bedroom hotter but it'll be fine come winter and it's adorable to wake up and see her tied up in a knot asleep or with her head sticking out a burrow. Wanted a pet snake for fucking ages.

Hmmm, I dunno. Depends on whether you truly believe in cannabis as a sacrament I guess. I do, in a non-hippy way, if that's possible. So I have no problem whatsoever with stoned church yoga. Somebody like raas, who believes it's intrinsically 'evil', might disagree. As a member of the Gnostic Catholic Church, I overrule his opinion anyhow. So yeah, it's all good.

Fuck. Right. Off. <3

Congrats on the snake an' all. Nice to know you're doing well too. And yes, pics! Though you're obliged by law to sing Crawling King Snake by the Doors to her at least once. Hope you know that.

Nice one Snolly, i love snakes. Are you gonna have to feed it dead mice?

..or live mice?

Show us a pic, too. :D

Dead mice it is :D I keep getting woken up because she's done something cute at like 3am though I did catch her yawning which was ADORABLE ^___^ She's not a new snake - Mrs Snolls has had her since she was 8 and we just picked her up from her mum's house, so snakey is well into her teens but still ridiculously active. I like watching her whirl round in circles <3

edit @ Sam: Can't say I didn't try ;) Will go serenade the snake as soon as I can sing the song

Right, this is a first for me. I'm going to recommend a financial institution.

Columbus Direct.

Basically I bought travel insurance off them 15 days ago. Because of the odd bit of cancer here and other things there, insurance was not cheap. Indeed, many, including the bank I've been with for over thirty years (FUCK YOU BARCLAYS) even refused point blank to offer any insurance cover at all. Of the ones I did try, and I tried many, Columbus Direct were cheapest by at least £100.

The policy had a 14 day cancellation policy.

Today is day 15. Today, because they allow free withdrawals at worldwide ATM's, I opened another account with Nationwide. And part of the deal was travel insurance £250 cheaper than Columbus.

I rang Columbus with no hope at all of them agreeing to cancel my policy. Certainly not without a fine. They were brilliant. No fine and it took two minutes.

It's only money but I've had a couple of things recently that have cost considerable amounts of 'only money'. It was nice to get one back.

I'd recommend Columbus to anyone.

Cute snake! And that's worth knowing SHM, and snoo for getting yer money back. :)

My current favourite for travel insurance is LV as they were incredibly helpful and gave me lots of money back when all of my stuff was nicked in Rome. (From the luggage hold of the fucking airport transfer bus. I still miss those clothes. :()

I thought that you would have had SAGA on speed dial for such things as travel insurance, holidays etc =D

Joking aside don't think I didn't try the cunts. Absolute refusal from them. I'm 50, not 150. They're up against the wall come the revolution comrade, no worries.

Techy-Snoo...

I'm glad to say I've got my replacement laptop at last! I have managed to update & set it up it mostly last night/this morning. Feels great having access to a laptop whenever I want again. Let's hope this one lasts a little longer than the last... :D

Oh and I actually got a reasonable upgrade since the insurance firm gave me the full value of my last, which I'd got on a deal, plus I got £100 cashback off this one. :)

Technically there was an excess to pay but my parents footed that since it was their cat that broke the laptop...
