Right, this is a first for me. I'm going to recommend a financial institution.
Columbus Direct.
Basically I bought travel insurance off them 15 days ago. Because of the odd bit of cancer here and other things there, insurance was not cheap. Indeed, many, including the bank I've been with for over thirty years (FUCK YOU BARCLAYS) even refused point blank to offer any insurance cover at all. Of the ones I did try, and I tried many, Columbus Direct were cheapest by at least £100.
The policy had a 14 day cancellation policy.
Today is day 15. Today, because they allow free withdrawals at worldwide ATM's, I opened another account with Nationwide. And part of the deal was travel insurance £250 cheaper than Columbus.
I rang Columbus with no hope at all of them agreeing to cancel my policy. Certainly not without a fine. They were brilliant. No fine and it took two minutes.
It's only money but I've had a couple of things recently that have cost considerable amounts of 'only money'. It was nice to get one back.
I'd recommend Columbus to anyone.
