Snoo v:5 - Springtime Snooing

Haha ;)

Oh Brimz, my pm box is empty now, sorry! Shall pm you later but need to get some more sleep now, hardly slept..

finding out i have more than i though in common with someone i met, really liked (despite having to wash his vomit off my tights!!!), and was worried i'd drift away from when we parted.

Aw, chinup! That's lovely! :)

Now go home, draw the curtains, listen to some Swans, read some Kafka and cleanse yourself of that sentimental crap!

sentimental crap though it might be, i could easily say (and have done!) similar things about you m'dear. not that that justifies the sentimentamility.

Too true. Accountants running the business. No passion and too much cost-cutting.

Weird thing was, I was going to buy the reissues but then I found those genuine 80s ones in a completely unexpected shop! I saw some classic Sambas too, so I was torn. I love my Sambas.

Made in Germany, rather than the made in Indonesia ones that fall apart too easily. Just like modern Converse - they just aren't made to the same standards as the old proper two-ply US-made canvas ones.

Classic sportswear is great. I seem to have a semi-indie, semi-80s casual style about me now.

Addidas and Converse are the only footwear I'll wear these days.

He sounds like a keeper :)

Good lord! Spade, we agree on something! Although I'll also wear DMs, but don't right now.

And chinup - whe have I ever been sentimental (apart from maybe over kittens and tigey cubs)?

I've changed my mind, I hate both. ;)

On the subject of 'fashion' went into Urban Outfitters today to pass 10 minutes until the pub opened and most of the clothes they sell are labels that I remember being fashionable when I was a kid, Levis & Lee Jeans etc. Bit expensive like, £80 for a pair of Levis, mon tae fuck eh? Don't think they were that expensive the first time round.

Back in the early eighties when I reckoned I was the ace face mod (at 13 !) I would only wear Levis, you could get then ones that were not pre shrunk so you would sit in the bath with them on for a bit then sit about the house in sopping wet jeans waiting for them to dry and shrink to the perfect fit ..ala Quadraphenia. they also had to have 1 inch turn up at the bottom carefully measured by me and approved before my poor suffering mother stitched them up =D

But I'm sure you right, even in relative terms Levis have gone up in price by a stupid amount, I aint payin no £80 for a pair of jeans...Fek I'm starting to sound just like me dad=D

I think £50 is my limit for jeans these days and I'll even grudge that unless they look cool as fuck and I know they are't going to fall apart after a few wears and washes. Gone are the days of me paying over £200 for stupid designer jeans.

Double snoo for me today, the missus popped out for a coffe with one of her friends and left jme with the 2 kids to entertain (8 and 3).

Got them to wash my car and my communter scooter and they loved very minute of it, I've now got a clean car and scoot and the missus will be impressed I didnt just stick em in front of the TV / Wii and mooch on the net

I didn't think u were the shallow type that would give a fuk about such material bollox?
£10 tops for me luckily i'm a 30 /32 n can get alot of decent jeans from charity shops Hugo Boss were the last ones i had £7 n they are cool as fuk £130 or summat daft in the de3signer shop .
Anything else i get sent from the us from my Aunty , the only items of clothing i'll spend good money on are Jackets n Boots/Trainers

I wouldn't say I was shallow and I care very little about material things (I own nothing as we've discussed on here before) but I don't think £50 is a lot to spend on a pair of jeans that will last a year or so and that I like the look of. I don't often buy clothes nor do I care about the latest fashions pretty much a trainers, jeans and a polo / tshirt person but I won't just wear any old shite because it's cheap.

£50 is alot 4 jeans though when one can get just as good i f not better from charity shops.
Mind i don't know the calibre of Charity Shops in Dundee , where i live theirs plenty of rich folk who give stuff away without wearing it.
