Sniffer dogs

I can usually smell my chronic shit through 2 baggys lol... its crazy. But if you get sort of average china bud weed then its a bit different. 1 baggy is sweet...

BUT! I used to pick up a mate from his office when he needed to go pick up a few pounds when he didnt have his licence. He would have buds on him in his lunchbox lol. It always stunk like crazy..

I was like "dude..how the fuck do you catch public transport with that heavy scent"

haha..

You prob could altho its a bit of a bitch. Long long time ago was traveling with a mate on a bus he had a large quantity on him, smelt so bad and was wrapped up in baggies and foil a few times.

Actually the whole bus reeked of weed. Pretty sure some people recognized the smell lol Even a few grams smells if not concealed properly.

Especially if it hasn't been dried out. This happened to me before I had my license. Caught the bus with an ounce on me. This stuff was freshly cut, smelt so nice but so strong and was still pretty moist. Whole bus smelt and everyone was giving me dirty looks when I walked onto the bus. I felt so bad but oh well, it was the best shit ive ever smoked.

So that's why dogs chase buses! :)

Why oh why isn't this thread dead.....not meaning to be nasty but pleeeeaaaase read the WHOLE thread.....i hate things being regurgitated =D =D =D

The little blighters gave my friends a scare at a recent event. Both were holding a moderate amount of stuff and the dogs walked right past them, stopped went through them...then kept going.
Sometimes luck is on your side I guess!

I think this thread should stay open, people are still free to speak about new idea's that they have, or experiences they have had with sniffer dogs. Whilst some stuff is being repeated I think it needs to stay open because it's still relevant to both old timers and also newbies on the scene.

Some people will just refuse to read through a thread this long as well. Maybe some one could make a summary and cut out the excessive posts and repetition. But it should stay open for new ideas and questions, other wise new threads on the same topic will re-open.

This is continual issue, what to do with these threads, there is so much information, and then it just becomes the same questions as page 3, on page 30.

I think people should have a good look at the first 10 or so pages, I think it's all pretty much summarised in there. While it should still stay about for new discussion to occur.

Yeah I say definately keep it open, but like syklik It would be good for people to actually read the 1st ten pages in the thread rather then asking the same questions.

Maybe if their was a section in the FAQ. So that we could just give people a link dedicated to people starting to tryout mushies.

If you're opposed to the use of sniffer dogs, we invite you to join our facebook group Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) -- (http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=337839094510).

This is a Sydney branch, but if you're not from here or aren't a student, we still encourage you to join.

My apologies if you see this as spam -- I think this is relevant to the thread, as I believe the use of sniffer dogs is a perfect example of flawed drug policy in Australia.

NSW Police defends the use of these dogs, claiming that it's... an effective method of identifying drug dealers. However according to the 2006 NSW Ombudsman's report on sniffer drugs:

- From 2002-2006, over 10,000 people were searched.

- Of those, only one quarter were found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

- Only 141 people were found to possess a quantity of drugs considered to be supply.

- 99% of searches involved either a failure to detect any drugs, or detect a quantity deemed to be supply.

You can download the full report at: http://www.ombo.nsw.gov.au/show.asp?id=431

Despite this clear failure to fulfil its alleged purpose i.e. catch drug dealers, NSW Police continue to use sniffer dogs to the present day.

Either buy on site after you get in and ingest straight away or pop before lining up, seriously don't risk getting arrested and a criminal record for trying to smuggle like 3 pills.

I encourage all you sydney folk to get behind the SSDP, as mentioned in another thread they are not making this as a quick fix, but a long term approach to helping people in the drug community.

Also I think you should be reminded that the purpose of sniffer dogs aren't to catch all the people possessing drugs, but as a scare tactic, to keep people from bringing them in the first place. And as much as I hate to say it, it's an affective way of making less people bring illegal substances into the venue or event =(

Someone I know had a tailor unpick the collar of a casual shirt and hot-glue 2 thin velcro strips along the seam for fastening. This person has successfully evaded knee-high beagles at 2 international airports (not to mentionon the exfils and transits on the way home) on at least 4 occasions with small numbers of pills in small zippies taped flat in-place. Once had one of the little buggers jump on the baggage trolley and got away with it. Besides balls of steel a squirt of shitty airlines cologne just before landing seems to have done the trick. NB. I should point out that this person is not a dealer but rather someone fed up with all the shite around and attendant risks associated with finding something decent in Oz.

If you're taking 3 pills it would not be advisable at all to pop them before lining up.

Just a question - Can dogs smell Mephedrone?

obviously i'll take all the precautions just wondering.

Depends what the dogs have been trained to sniff out.
My guess would be though their is a considerable chance considerring all of it's recent media attention.

How do you think regular trained sniffer dogs would go picking up chemicals such as MDPV? I imagine it would be very to have a dog trained to pick up substances like that..

am i wrong?

It wouldn't necessarily be hard, it would just be very out of the norm. The polie generally only train dogs for the most popular drugs because it equates to more busts for them.

Off the top of my head the main drugs dogs are trained to detect are Heroin, Amphetamines, Marijuana, Cocaine and MDMA. They are the main staples, but there have been knows to be variations.

None of this crap about coffee beans or deoderant or any other odour masking technique is right either. All bullshit that gets passed around by friends. There is no sure way to get them through, even if you do it carefully. You simply get lucky. That's all.
