Smoking opium as a tolerant user.

Ok so I know there's some opium floating around. Back in the day when I was just a pothead that dabbled in other drugs I loved opium. Nowadays I can do 320mg of oxy and still function. Its been about 3 weeks of small suboxone doses (less than 1mg a day). My question is if I stop doing the suboxone for a few days will smoking opium be worth it? I don't remember it being a very intense experience anyways but for old times sake...

Opium can be plenty intense but is certainly a different high to most opiates. It's not very potent though so I doubt you'd feel it until your tolerance is waaaaay down and you're off the subz. I'd save it for a future time when tolerance no longer bites

JB your tolerance is bout up there with mine, i found O kinda disappointing and alet down for me. imo it mimicked a medium dose of morphine minus the pins and needles

Just eat a large amount of it is what I would do, but not safe at all. Nothing compares to smoking opium though.

Yeah I have to agree with the consensus here - smoking opium with a large tolerance to opiates will not likely be worth the while.

I had an opportunity to try opium when I went to a festival in the summer of '08. I was a kratom addict at the time and had taken 3 days away from it while at the festival. When I tried the opium it definitely got me high, I didn't find it to be particular potent though.

Fast forward about a month later, opium had gotten me interested in poppy tea and I had used some weak poppies for about 2 or 3 weeks straight. When I ran out I started to have my first serious withdrawal, I was experiencing my first night of insomnia and was pretty much freaking out. I remembered that I had a little bit of opium left (I had forgotten all about it after I ordered the poppies) and promptly smoked it with the hopes of easing my withdrawals and getting some sleep.

The opium wasn't even strong enough to reverse my withdrawal effects, granted it may not have been very much but there was probably a couple of hits that I smoked. Taking that into consideration, if your tolerant to 320mg of Oxy then I think it would be a waste of time Johnny B

is the O cheap? usually round here when it is sold it is sold at about coke prices. it takes a good deal for someone with a tolerance to consume so it my be nice for nostalgia's sake but as far as practicality buy oxy or bupe.

by the way are you quittin oxy? is that why you have moved to the bupe?

Are you sure it's even real? 9 times out of 10 the "opium" i have seen being sold has been bullshit. ONE time only have I smoked the real shit and two hits had me nodding out. Granted I had no tolerance at that time, but it was definitely legit. Read up on the proper consistency, color, smell, etc of opium before buying any.

Second of all if it doesnt taste extremely bitter it was fake.. I only know what rock pure opium scraped from pods looks like..

Real OPIUM destroys me even with opiate tolerance... THe rush of smoking is out of this world..

I remember in high school, kids would sell that red rock 'opium' incense as being the best kind of opium you can get. I remember watching kids smoke this shit and talk about how good it was and acting all fucked up. I smiled as I nodded from my oxys...

yeah red rock opium is actually dragon's blood incense. it costs like $13.00 a pound off the internet. and it turns red and runny looking (kind of like blood) when you put fire to it. oh, im a new guy here btw, hi guys ive been reading bluelight for over a year now and just now decided to become a member. im high on some ocs and valium and a some dank bud so i just thought what the hell, why not, im always here anyway? every time i search about drugs i put "fentanyl mylans bluelight" or whatever im looking for in google to find the information i need. works every time

as for opium smoking its usually not that strong but it sure does taste and smell good. try putting a thumb tack or sewing needle through a piece of cardboard and stick the opium on the end of the needle. get a glass drinking cup that you can easily see through and light the opium up, let it burn for 5 seconds or so, then blow it out and place the medium sized glass on top of it. grab a straw and watch as the opium smoke rises to the top, and then "waterfalls" back down the sides of the glass. this neat effect, which is actually very fun and relaxing to watch, is the reason this method of smoking is called "the waterfall". use your straw, one with a bendy end would work the best, and bend that end up, but you dont have to, stick the straw up inside of the glass while slightly tipping the glass just enough to fit your straw in. if you pick the glass up too high, your smoke will escape into the air. use that straw to suck in nice, big, slow steady hits. hold them for as long as you can. do this with about a quarter gram of opium or so, after a few hits you feel real mellow. the feeling in my stomach i get from it reminds me of morphine.

It's a nice way to supplement other opiates when you have a big tolerance.

But you'd have to smoke a shit load if all you have is the opium and a tolerance..............

real opium is very potent, and it is worth smoking if you can get your hands on it in the states. (that is if it is real, which is very hard to come by)

I would recommend getting it, and holding on to it. Clean your system out a little bit and then smoke it, and you WILL get a good rush from it. Despite what a lot of people are saying, real opium is not weak at all, and if you smoke enough it's very intense.

Its real opium alright i harvested it myself took me 8 hours to scrape and collect a couple hundred pods just for a 1.5g's lol ... it is extremely time consuming process..

Opium (certainly when properly processed) is reddish-brown and looks like beer bottle glass - it's translucent and brittle. It should only be sticky if it's been warmed. It tastes very perfumed and flowery when smoked and it really isn't very potent. I suspect some who claim it is are smoking tar rather than opium. Opium can be intense, but it's not potent compared to almost any other opiates weight for weight. I find it far more mellow and dreamy than any other poppy products.

To get the most from it I like to smoke it on a bed of ash (or weed/other herb) in a pipe. Doesn't seem to work too well smoked off foil even though it gives of great billowing clouds of smoke. The glass "waterfall" method sounds like it would be good too but I haven't tried it myself. It works great for hash so I suspect it would be good for opium too though.

I know I had real opium just from the taste - You will never forget that delicious sweet flowery smoke. It really is the best tasting smoke I have ever tried.

I DEFINITELY have to agree with cire113 on this one. Have you grown and processed your own ever? I have near an acre of different varieties of opium poppies growing on my property and even though its rather tedious... I harvest a good amount each year. I have a high to medium opiate tolerance, I dose around 160mg to get a high and take atleast double that everyday.

I always process mine down into smoking quality and its very very potent, like lay your ass out potent. A few good hits off the foil and im nodding out pretty good. BTH is very weak in comparison even if its of the best quality there is no way it could compare. This is coming from an x BTH smoker.
