I've had a few smiles today, I just moved into a new place and the move and carpet cleaning for my old flat turned out much cheaper than expected. Being a complete useless doofus I'd forgotten that it's one of my friend's birthdays tomorrow but found out in time so will be seeing bodgie and rm2x tomorrow night for drinkies. Aaaannnndddd I just saw that The Road opens in Australia today!
 
my boss finally gave my exec my apprasial... about 2-3 months since i filled it out

hopefully i get this payrise i have been somewhat promised.
 
i completely agree with that, i think they are $120 in Sydney...

and yes, they are awesome... no they are not worth that much

it could be a last minute ebay job just like the them crooked vultures tickets i won...

i saw them last night, they were amazing... and loud... but so fuckin good!
 
They are playing in the opera house forecourt in Sydney though and that should be factored into the decision. Not sure how the sound will be in the forecourt?
 
Hmmm... that is pretty pricey (although you do get a copy of the new album too). Ticketmaster is also showing $103 for general admission, sitting on the lawn. I've never been to anything at the music bowl - can anyone give me some advice on whether stalls would be preferable to lawn?
 
I'm going lawn. Just can't see why the stalls would be $40 better... I saw daft punk at sydney myer (lawn seating) and it was amazing. I hope tickets hold out until i get paid!
 
After work I'm suprising my BF with a big ol' bunch of flowers and an adventure to the Night Markets in China Town just because and he has no idea :)
 
Joint birthday dinner with some old friends at one of our favourite restaurants - Cafe Pacifico. Bring on the midori margarita jugs! Ole!
 
Got my tickets for Gogol Bordello in March. I can only imagine this is going to be one of the funnest gigs of my lifetime. I'm super excited.

I'm pretty sure we must have been 30m away from each other at Fantomas at BDO and who knows how close at Nofx :)

Being that that is reasonably close to my house if I don't go out to dinner like I'm supposed to that evening I know what I'll be doing...

Secondly I IDed a plant that's been bugging me for about a year now. Poranthera microphylla, I've got your number!

Thirdly, Laneway Festival yesterday was extremely pleasant, ran into a girl I haven't seen in ages and talked shit with some funny strangers. It's probably the nicest festival in existence, I'm sure the police were bored as hell.
