Hey, was wondering if some of yall who got experience with larger barrel syringes can give me a few tips...I need to use 3cc ones for larger dilaudid shots which i am ordering tonight but it came to my attention that apparently when you use a larger barrel size that the tip size can become a problem if its too small. i hadnt even thought about it but then i saw a post on another forum . where this guy said he had a 5cc and a 30g tip and said he could not push it down to save his life, there was too much pressure to be able to push the plunger down with one hand and so it was basically useless. Now IDK if a 3cc is smaller enough that it wouldnt be as much of a problem, or what. i was thinking of using 29's, or 28's, but dont want big ass bruises all over so was hopign to use the smallest one i can get away with. recommendations?

So I ask you OD'ers....What is the smallest gauge tip size I can use with a 3cc syringe while still having quick, smooth, easy flow thru the needle, and that I will easily be able to pull back, register, and depress the plunger with one hand without having that horrible moment where youre registered and you try and push it down and it just sticks? Or you want to slam it home and you end up pushing down slowly so it takes like 20 seconds to get the damn shot into your arm? Any tips? Ordering ASAP so quick replies are appreciated...

If you're pushing 3cc's in one shot it's never going to be that fast... when I used barrels over 1cc I always used 28's. Are you using your mainline veins in your elbow crook? Those are the only ones I could easily dump huge shots into, but I never slammed them I always injected over 10 seconds in a steady push.

yeaa i dont need th whole 3cc just really not easy to find 2ccs in smaller quantities and i dont need a box of 100 ya know.. so i got th 3. Prob only need 2 max maybe only 150 units. So ill have some extra space in there but anyways yea bootin mainline. I figured 28s would be better thx for confirming that. And yea i know it aint gonna be like that beautiful little...*shloop* when you slam down 50 units of a nice dope shot and its all home in three seconds but just didnt wanna be pushin for like 40 sec i guess i ddint so much mean fast as i meant not taking forever. If only it was liquid hydromorph and i didnt have to crush 10 billion pills and use a damn horse syringe ahhh

28g should do ok but it'll still be a bit more work registering and depressing the plunger, it won't be quick anyway

A year ago I bought what I thought was a 10 pack of 10cc rigs with 23ga needles...what was shipped was 10 10 packs with 21 ga needles. Since these things cant be refunded or returned, I used them. Biggest danger (aside from wrecking the shit out of your veins) is the very real chance of sucking up chunks of binder or cotton fibers... having to put a fkn jeweler's loop over my shots was more trouble than it was worth. Id say with 3cc, 25-27 would be good.

btw, you dont need 3cc rigs for dilaudid; it is ridiculously soluble in cold water (something like 366mg/ml). 1 cc is fine with a 29 or 30ga needle. I prefer the larger ones as my skin is a bit rough and injection sites a bit used; smaller gauges flex too much or bend too easily. and coming from someone who has banged an assload of D, I wouldnt bother going over 12mg/shot anyway, there is a point of rapidly diminishing returns, and even anything over 8 is a waste imo. you can just crush 3 4s or an 8 and half of another, add 1cc (100 units) water, stir, draw up ~75 units, add another 35-40 units to get the rest. and dont bother even trying to rinse IR hydromorphone; there will be nothing of consequence left in the spoon (except for a possible case of cotton fever, which is about as fun as going thru full blown w/d in an hour).

Yeah, hydromorphone is really easy to break down in water. As Kid said, its solubility is over 300mg's/ml (Most places have it listed at 333mg/ml (1cc). So, no matter how big of a shot your doing... you shouldn't need more than a standard 1cc.
