SLR Social vs. Hello Nurse

My daughter wrote me a note this morning that I put in my wallet for future reference when she is a teenager. Right now she is six. The note said, "My mom is cool. Mom you are loveing. My mom is really nice. Mom you are really cool."

I figure in a few years I will need to refer her back to her note a few times, lol.
 
I know, so cute. I find little notes she writes to me all the time, I have been saving them all. Another one I just found on a post it says, "I love you mom. I like you mom. My mom is nice. You are funny mom. Do you like me mom?". It is so cool seeing them catch on to reading and writing and then having it explode.

In other news, I laughed so fucking hard yesterday. My mom and I were hanging out and we had had a few beers....she is this really well put together southern lady and definitely does not look 66. We were talking generally about getting older and she says, " oh my goodness, it is going to be so strange when you turn 40 soon" and I am thinking she is going to say something about me getting older and trying to deal with that, but instead she says," I am just going to feel so weird having a daughter who is 40. It is really going to affect me.". I laughed so hard because that was so her....she is really self centered, but not in a bad way. More like a quirky, hilarious way. I was like, gee, mom I hope you will be able to get through it....lol
 
i think i've got a great idea for giving someone my phone number

i've never bothered girls at work before, and i'm not overly physical attracted to this cashier i see most days of the week

but i just wanna attempt to hang out and test my game, cause well, i'e pretty much been spoon fed all of my relationships

so on this piece of paper i've got my real name, cell # and....
there's specific directions on the bottom: 'ask for dr. africa or mr. polar time'....it's a test
if she thinks i'm a wack job, i don't want to hang with
but if she finds humor in it, i have to assume she's turned on by silliness, and if that's the case, i know she'll want to hang and that's exactly the kind of girl i need

i'm really excited to try this out, it's just that i gotta get lucky, a. i need to be in good mood 2.tobacco shops needs to be mostly empty and 3.i'm able to strike up typical small talk

you may think i'm a little 'off', i'm just strategic and know what i want, at least i think ;)
 
^^^ I would find that funny and call you for sure if I thought you were cool.

I would find it creepy and throw it in the trash if you came off as a weirdo.....I guess it all depends on what vibe she is picking up off of you.
 
hopefully this is comprehendable, i can get scatter brained when posting more than 6 words....
looks wise 'im not out of her league', but am on a significantly better team....i've got that going

when i'm in a good mood(aka high :/ ) cashier's are my favorite people in the world

and i;m just not a flirt, at all, except around cashiers lol, i think it's the whole 1 on 1 encounter thing, it's easily my most comfortable zone

i'll probably say things like, 'hey you guys still open??!", 'what on this rack is NOT for sale',if something doesn't ring i always insist it's only 14 cents, when asked if i want a bag i either request way too many or flirtatiously demand that nothing gets placed in a bag*might drop this one, catches girls off guard*, as soon as i walk in she usually says hi, and without hesitation' why is it so dark in here?!?!"

okay how cheesy is this, when asked if i want anything else i tell her i want lotto tix, but let me see what #s i wrote down and what do ya know it's a request from me, to call my # and tell dr. africa or mr.polar time to put me on the phone.....i need a set up though, something to say right as i hand over the note? anyone?

and still unsure on how to ask.....we should hang out sometime? you come off as way to kind and sweet to NOT find out more! hey i want to spend some time saturday night laughing at things...do you wanna laugh at things with me? 'i'm a little insulted you have never invited me over for some walking, so i guess i'll have to invite myself...."

what NOT to say? i'm definetely 'out there' and there's a fine line between humor and scary, and i don't exactly feed my humor on a tee.....

i'm pretty excited about this just cause i know i won't be upset if rejected for any reason, rejection sucks....i'm just bitter about never getting around to asking out a different cashier over the summer that legit had a crush on lol
 
CR - make sure you don't like that shop too much just in case it doesn't work out! No, I wouldn't think it was creepy if a cute guy slipped me a business card at work. That's happened before, but given my luck, it was when I was in a relationship so I didn't act on it. :| Do you know whether or not she is single?

New dude and I have been trying to navigate this opposite schedule thing. I work mostly 'normal' hours, he works swing shift. He's pretty much starting work when I finish for the day. We're able to make some good time for each other tomorrow and (late) Friday night, then I fly out of town for 10 days for work. Ugh, not what you want at the beginning of a new relationship! I hope we'll be able to take a long weekend when I get back to the coast or something.

So, I was going to re-tumbl a picture on tumblr. It was a lateral aspect cranial projection radiograph of two people kissing. It had comments on it like "You can't tell from this if this is two boys, or two girls, or a boy and girl, or if they're trans or not" etc.

I noticed that a) one person had a dental implant. Easily recognized from the radiopacity difference of titanium vs bone. I was going to note this in my re-blog. I was also going to note that I, even without being an M.D., a D.D.S., or a physical anthropologist, could READILY distinguish that the person with the dental implant was male, and the other one was female. I was basing this on the shape of the brain-case (male brain case is more oblate, forehead is more sloping) features like the relative size of the mastoid process, the radiopacity of the bone itself (males have denser and thicker bone, so it absorbs more x-ray and is more white on the x-ray) The size of lower mandible, the size of the teeth, size and shape of the sub-orbital bones and the ocular cavities. Etc It's pretty basic stuff and you can look it up in any decent forensic pathology, radiology, or physical anthropology text book. This is a big part of how skeleton remains can be have their sex determined. I was also going to note the poster who posted the stuff about not being able to tell, that it was patently untrue it was not possible to tell, that maybe *they* could not tell, but only because they are obviously lacking the education to be able to do so. I was going to also note that like, you can call yourself whatever gender you want, use whatever pronouns you want, dress however you want, get a gender reassignment surgery, but that it will still ALWAYS be the case that one can tell from these kind of features.

Ms.G got butthurt and told me not to post it cause it might "hurt someone's feelings and cause them to self-harm or something". I think it's unlikely, and to be fucking honest, I don't really give a fuck if someone gets upset by a post on the internet stating well accepted scientific facts and their implications.

I'm not really asking SLR for advice here specifically in the context of a relationship or whatever, I'm more asking what does SLR think about the general idea? It is a dick move of me to post something like that? (I have not, cause of Ms.G) or is it a whiny and butthurt and suppression of expression to ask me not to do that on my personal blog?

CR I had a lawyer send me a letter at my work once because he couldn't get me alone ever. I went out with him. Only once but I did go out once with him. Lol
 
Hahaha rangrz...:D seeing as the point of the picture clearly isn't that, I'd suppress my scientific instincts ;)

And I agree with Lysis, Mariposa naked pics go a very long way. He'll totally adore you for it.
