So do you think it is wise to tell a woman you are an addict in recovery early on? I've have been doing that for a while because I feel the strange need to get that out of the way as soon as possible.

I don't do this depending on how well I know the person. if she seems conservative I wouldn't bring it up til you've shown her how you are now. being an addict is like negative points so you gotta make up for it early on before you drop the bomb shell. depends on the amount time clean as well. I got over a year so me saying "Im a recovering addict, I got over a year clean" sounds better than "I'm a recovering addict, I've got a month clean".

'Slut' is not a neutral term. It's by definition negative. And when people refer to someone as a slut, they mean it negatively.
I've got no problem with people knowing I sleep with random guys relatively often, I would have a problem with being called a slut.

Not true - I looked up the definition(s) christmas day just past, after this woman I was having some fun with at a party called me a "pretty slut", which got me a little offended until I looked up the definition of "slut" and "promiscuous" the next day - absolutely nothing wrong with it - it's how the usage has been bastardized as I previously mentioned - hence a lot of IGNORANT people using it as a negative term for women exclusively.

Again there is NOTHING wrong with being a slut.

<3 hahahaha fuck you girly ;)
...You got me, I'm convinced.
:D

Lads lads lads

I'm not going to post up the research I did - no point you clearly can read better than me.

Oh wait no that's bullshit - I don't feel the need to do the legwork and try and bring your meagre comprehension up to speed.

I know it wouldn't go down well, but as I stated before - ignorants - most people who use that word are ignorants - hence why most people think it's intrinsically a bad word, for women. Again I state up til xmas day I did too.

It's a word - it is what you make it.

hmm. I think my coworker is trying to set me up with her friend.

My one friend is a little short girl, and now everyone thinks I like midgets or something :(

Ummm what's wrong with someone who is short?

Nothing. I don't even care if someone is a foot shorter than I am.

She was like, "You would like my friend, she is really short and does yoga too."

I said, "I don't discriminate, unless a woman is crazy or can benchpress more than me"

I sad faced cause I don't want people to think I like small girls cause it limits the potential target market.

but seriously, short girls are cute.

hahahaha like REALLY short??

What happened with that girl that you're really into - around new years...

Well if she's short and like yoga, then you can definitely have some fun there - short women who are very into yoga can be amaaaaaaaazingly fun.

5'2" sort of thing is undeniably cute territory (I am 6', so that is quite the difference)...

The girl that lives out of town, I dunno what happened to here, we stopped talking for some reason. I tried to put some effort in to start talking again, but it still wasn't going anywhere so I gave up on any type of courtship.

And I am still friendzoning the cute girl that I used to work with (she is short, and is why people at work think I am fixated on tiny girls) because she is fun to hang out with and I don't want lose the only friend I have here.

I totally get what your saying. If you go out with two women that have the same trait people assume that's your "thing". I hate that. I'm not so shallow that my dating preferences can be summed up in a sentence. I don't think many people are.

What irks me, is that I haven't even established any pattern towards any preference because I haven't gone out with anyone. This is all based on one friend with whom I occasionally hangout with.

Today I learned that there is a city in Ireland called Muff. They have a diving club. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muff,_County_Donegal

I emailed the wiki link to one of the girls at work that I am friendly with (she has a boyfriend, but is the one who may set me up with her friend).

she had her doubts about the veracity of the link, but mentioned in her post script that you can tell a true man by his willingness to join the muff diving club.

I had to correct her and inform her that it is not the willingness of a man, but the eagerness that is a sign of a true man. she blushed soo hard.

5'2" isn't very short! And not even close to being a midget. I'm 5' ... perhaps that is why I am a bit defensive. But just because you date one person who is shorter doesn't mean you only like girls who are shorter, why would anyone think that? If you dated a black girl would people think you only liked black girls and that you could date white girls, Asian girls, etc.? Probably not. May 5'2" is slightly shorter than average for a girl but it isn't even much shorter than average. My ex was 6' tall, a foot taller than me, it didn't really matter.
